Salt. Salt is incredible. Salt comes in many forms and uses. There is table salt, which happens to add a lot of flavor to many foods. There is road salt, which melts ice on the road so cars don't slide into a river. Then there is Epsom salt. It... um... makes you more comfortable in the bath? Or something? Anyways... There is also this Salt.
Wait, why is that... That is totally unrelated to my thingy! Get this stupid game out of here! Anyways... Here are some more pictures of salt!
I'm not being paid for this, but Maldon Salt is the best salt. Yes, I know there's basically no difference between brands of salt. And yet, we have Maldon.
Chemically speaking, "Salt" is actually a type of chemical, which is the result of any reaction between an Acid and a Base.
For example, common Table Salt (Sodium Chloride) is one of the results from the reaction between Hydrochloric Acid and Sodium Bicarbonate, for example. it is also a product from the reaction between Hydrochloric Acid and Sodium Hydroxide.
of course, other compounds will create different types of salt. Hydroflouric Acid and Sodium Bicarbonate would create Sodium Flouride; This is the "flouride" that is at the center of many conspiracy theories, and in many respects it is similar to Sodium Chloride- it tastes the same, overall; and it has almost the same appearance, too. Many of the compounds created from those two groups of elements have many similarities.
Between Lithium, Sodium, Potassium, Caesium, and Rubidium in the Alkali Metals and Chlorine, Flourine, Bromine, Iodine, and Astatine, (The halogens) there are a number of salts. Since they are compounds created from similar elements, they have many similar properties. Combine any of the first group and any of the second group, then do a Google and we can see how useful Salts are.
We of course know about Sodium Chloride- But There is also Lithium Chloride, and Lithium Iodide- Lithium Iodide is actually a part of Lithium-Ion batteries! Lithium Astatide would be radioactive since Astatine is- it has a relatively short half-life as well. Caesium Flouride is used in organic chemistry experiments; etc.
Another "salt" which is actually chemically an Acid is Monosodium Glutamate. Commonly vilified as an evil MSG additive, Monosodium Glutamate is actually surprisingly common in many foods.

And yeah, by "some more" I mean one.
So um yeah that's my thing about salt.
...I like to make weird threads, okay?

I think salt is pretty good when it's not overdone. It provides a nice compliment to sweet and sour flavours.
Also salted caramel is the bomb
Yeah. Damn Big Salt trying to brainwash the younger, more impressionable populace into increased sodium consumption.
Where's my pitchfork?
You can't talk about Mr. Salt without Mrs. Pepper!
Possibly one of my favourite spices to add to anything necessary, like tomato sauce or chicken/fish marination.
Your second picture is broken.
Also, salt describes many of the internet folk I've encountered.
You can just call me Canary.
How not to look like a total fool in the forum games
I expected for this to be a thread about something that made you really salty or how someone else got really salty.
My battle.net is Kirbyintron#1254, if you want to play some Overwatch with me.
Except he's looking at the corndog in disgust. If only it had a certain mineral to enhance the flavour...
It's because salt flakes are classy as all hell
Salt - combining two dangerous substances to make one that most life can't live without.

When you mix sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and acetic acid (vinegar) it creates a little bit of sodium acetate, which is a type of salt.
"It is often used to give potato chips a salt and vinegar flavor."

You're forgetting:

And one that can bring the dead back to life.
Gagh is best served live.
Salt is pretty good.
It burns like salt in an open Cthulhu.

I always put way too much salt on my popcorn.
Like, I need a bottle of water nearby when I eat it.
