I always take the highest possible moral road there is. Because it actually feels a bit good to help out or spare someone in a "kill or spare" moment. I saved all the Little Sisters and BioShock 1 & 2. I filled up my Paragon bar in the Mass Effect games. I kept low chaos in Dishonored without killing a single person. In Amnesia: The Dark Descent, I saved Agrippa. You get the picture.
It's a bonus when you're rewarded for it as well, especially when you're "the bigger man" because you had a chance to do something ruthless, but didn't.
I usually complete a game i.e. Fallout 3 with the highest possible moral first. After I beat it I play it again, but this time as a villain because to me, being evil seems more fun.
It depends on the game for me really. In games like Mass Effect where my actions have big consequences I make decisions how I would in real life. It's a really good way for me to sit back and think about how I would be if I was actually in the game. In other games I like to be as evil as possible because it's fun (and also a good way to vent frustration and anger).
I play it through first killing everything that moves and murdering my wife and having 47 illegitimate children. Then I go through as a paragon of virtue on the higher difficulty.
I don't have a fix 'Be good or bad' path to take, I just simply think to myself whether if the person rubs me off bad enough to make me want to kill him or which choice leads to greater rewards/ gain respect from story or other NPC characters.
Like in my recent re-play of Skyrim: "Kill that man who trusts you for a cool weapon/bag of coins!", "Why sure! So long no-one sees or disapproves!"
But I lean more to seeking affirmation from the in-game community of teammates and NPCs.
I always take the good moral path whenever I can. I don't know why, but I just can never go through with the bad moral path no matter how many times I try.
I always go with the good path, unless the bad path actually saves more people than the good path. In that case, I consider it the good path anyways.

Neutral. Not the stupid neutral path where I save an orphan from a burning orphanage having set the fire myself, more along the lines of saving the orphan then requesting some form of reward for doing so.
i always take the hero one. wanting to help people, but killing enemies with no mercy.

Doesn't matter what the press says. Doesn't matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn't matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right. This nation was founded on one principle above all else: the requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences. When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world — "No, you move
I hate to say it but when I play I'm usually a villain. In Elder Scrolls I steal all the cheese wheels and in Civ V I love to conquer the world and destroy enemy cities without mercy, but being a hero is also fun I guess.

I'll play whichever side seems more fun, usually the good guy since that's how most games frame the protagonist's narrative plus it's always fun saving the day.
Whenever I play the villain, I generally like to go full ne'er-do-well... not necessarily in the sense of randomly murdering dudes, but rather screwing folks over to accomplish nefarious ends. If I'm playing a villain, I should BE the hero's foil, not some guy that beats up other villains to demonstrate that I'm the toughest villain (*cough*City of Villains*cough*). I mean, I was disappointed in Icewind Dale when I created an evil-aligned party, but didn't really get to do any villainous deeds aside from breaking up a marriage. I suppose villainous gameplay works better in more open-ended games, like I've been playing the role of a space pirate in my recent game of X3: Terran Conflict, capturing merchant vessels or their cargo and selling to unscrupulous traders.
played infamous on ps3 and i went the good guy path you know save lives and not kill everyone but to say i do find it more fun being bad in the game

i think we should all use common sense and logic when we answer and ask a question but always stay open minded
just cause science fails to explain something does not mean its real (afterlife, big foot, ghosts etc..) does not mean its fake try to stay opened mined instead of closed
Honestly I ran rarely bring myself to actually play a game on the "bad" side, unless it's something like Privateer where I would gladly shoot down a pilot and tractor him into my ship for profit.

It's funny how the choices we make in video games can affect us more than the virtual player. Same can be said with the choices we make in real life.

I usually always play the good side. As it personally feels better for me to do it.

Usually good, but I like to have at least one "bad" character.
