I'm pretty sure none of you heard of this game, but the worst I played was WW2 Aces, on the Wii. You are in an airplane of your choice, and you are faced up against hordes of enemies. There is one level that was impossible to defeat. I kept dying and dying. And you only get one life per mission, so it's restart, restart, restart. Gah!!!
If I would recommend a game, it would be both Super Smash Bros Brawl or Il-2 Sturmovik: 1946. Both are really well made games.
Halo 4, Halo ODST, BLOPS II, and Sonic 06' are all tied. ODST just was horrible, period. Halo 4 is a bad game, not because of the game itself, but what it takes up on storage, the lag, and difficulty of the single player. I played the single player campaign on legendary and beat the same day I got it. Usually, legendary is fairly difficult for me, but when they have guns I can 1-Hit basically everything and they are no longer rare or hard to find, the difficulty setting doesn't matter. BLOPS II (Black Ops II) was bad because it is a CoD game. These games are all about making money, they never change, and the community is full of 5-20-year-old gamers who simply can't take a bullet without screaming and rage quitting. Also, the game is abuse so much to the point that I don't even want to talk about it. And then there is Sonic 06'... Yeah, not much to say about this, you all know good ol' 06'.

take into consideration this is free to play. So it's really not that badEnter the Matrix video game. It was such a let down because hwen it first came out I expected it to be awesome. But sadly it wasn't. Also Tony Hawks project 8 was also a really big let down because American Wasteland was so good, that project 8 just had no chance of living up to it. I feel that project 8 is what killed the series, sadly, I used to love tony hawks proskaters, underground games, and American wasteland.
Any COD game past Cod 3(not MW3)
Any new sonic game(Sonic fanbois be raging)
Any Cd-i games(except for hotel mario and the Zelda ,"abomination",)
wat
I'm not a fan of cod, but I will say cod 4, WAW, and MW2 were all way better than cod 3. The only cod game before cod 4 that's on the same level as cod 4 would be cod 2. World at War is my favorite cause of zombies
I have a category on my Steam account just for terrible games that I own. Grotesque Tactics 2 - Dungeons and Donuts is the top worst game on that list. What made me happy is that it gave me all of the achievements just by quitting the game. No joke, it might've been a bug but it made me happy that I will never have to play that game ever again.
i have to say the worst games i have ever played is either zelda or pokemon i hate them so much
i think some of the best games ever are gears of war and the last of us or terraria

Worst compared to their hype and public opinion? Minecraft. Given the expectations from its popularity, I was expecting a lot more than what little content this game has. I started in 1.6 beta, but even now I still don't think it has enough content for a respectable alpha. It's long past the time when this game can use indie excuse, too. Community is awful as well. I always thought I'd be at least 40 before I started hating on the newest generation for being a bunch of whiny, ungrateful twerps whom the world would be better off without. Playing Minecraft seems to have expedited my transition into that phase.
Worst compared to the company's funding and potential? Call of Duty: <Insert Anything After Black Ops 1>. I will admit that I have sunk hundreds, more likely thousands, of hours on Black Ops 1, and I've got MW3, BO2, and Ghosts, but I've been consistently disappointed with the promises of 'innovation' and lack of s given about balancing and competitive coop. I didn't have much hope for MW3, and I had fun modding a little bit for the first time in the series, and the custom games were entertaining, so that wasn't a huge disappointment. BO2 had so much it promised but it didn't live up to its expectations by any means in Zombies and the competitive multiplayer was complete crap. Ghosts wasn't anything different. It had a nice, shiny skin on everything which seemed to have deteriorated the actual game underneath when you realized that it wasn't anything special and peeled away the minor graphical improvements to reveal the same crap they've been feeding the middle school community for years. Only this time, the game seemed to have finally rotted away and the stink lines are beginning to show through their nice packaging. Black Ops 1 was my first actual CoD game (Played MW2 a few months before BO1, but I never actually played it enough to get a deep understanding of the game past my 0.22 K/D), so they have likely been doing this for awhile, but I didn't notice.
Biggest scam/waste of money? Angry Birds: Go! One of the countless Facebook/iOS games which have no more excitement than color coding an excel spreadsheet while waiting 30 minutes in between font selections. This one gets a special place just for being an extra **** with the massive funding they got from their first game.
Worst overall? Miley Cyrus Wrecking Ball on iOS. Ads in the middle of a buggy game every 5 seconds that didn't even pause the game when you had to close them which almost guaranteed a loss. Was free thankfully, but definitely the most pathetic thing I've seen get released.
Worst overall that wasn't on mobile devices pr Facebook because they probably take up all the spots in the top 1000? Dofus. That just screamed like a cheap F2P game, and, after spending a few minutes trying to figure out the hopelessly disorganized and buggy UI, I found out that the combat was boring as hell and uninstalled. I'm sure that this applies to a lot of the cheap ports of eastern MMOs though.
____
I enjoy a lot of games: MMOs like WoW, Rift, and MapleStory; ARPGs like Diablo, Torchlight, Path of Exile, RotMG, and Spiral Knights; and even dabble into other genres like strategy games, turn-based combat games, and a first-person-shooter now and then. I'd like to think that I have a broad experience with all genres with many games on many consoles, so I've generally played enough to quickly recognize when something isn't stacking up with other games I could be playing.

I realized the newest generation sucks since I was like 7 lol
Ok I will try to beat that. Are you ready kids, custards revange. you know that atari 2600 game. Worst game EVER. TOP THAT. Want a good game how about Pokemon, or Super Mario 64, Even the CDI games are better then Custards revenage and yes even ET is not that bad.
Wow (not the game), you lad must be the nerdiest gamer ever.
I don't really play games, never heard of Two Worlds nor Sonic 06. This thread is about the "Worst game you (I) ever played", not the "worst game you (you) have played and think you're better than others because your games are worse than theirs". If I haven't played a game you consider bad, why should I? Why should I play at all? Why do I even live? DDDD;
Now that you mention it, WoW is a piece of carp as well. Yes, carp, the fish. Except that it's worse. Like pufferfish. Only good for people who want to die detached of this world. Haven't played, won't play, but I've seen and learned enough.
EDIT: Since people seem to be unable to understand sarcasm around here, let me write it down: "Wow (not the game), you lad must be the nerdiest gamer ever" is a direct response to his "Wow (not the game)! You guys must have the greatest collections ever --". Fighting fire with fire, no? And fighting spiders with napalm :3

The worst game I ever played was called Chulip! The whole game is you kissing random men, women and objects. So you have enough experience to kiss the girl of your dreams.
Any game from Valusoft like Prison Tycoon. The games sound fun but there is no tutorial, no manual help, no online resource that I'm aware of so you have to figure the game mechanics out all by yourself in a trial and error fashion. After my 20th prison went bankrupt because I still had no idea how to make money (You'd think a toolshop and some workshops would do it.) I relegated Valusofts games to the boycot bin.
If I would recommend a game, it would be both Super Smash Bros Brawl or Il-2 Sturmovik: 1946. Both are really well made games.
I bought the Amazing Race for my friend as a gag gift, and it was worse than I thought it was going to be...
