Although I am NOT big console fan, the presentation really surprised me. I could tell Microsoft put a lot of effort into it. Although it might be a bit big, the specs look great. The OS, on the other hand, really aggravates me. It sounds like it will bug out with the voice and motion controls. Additionally, Internet Explorer is the browser and bing is the search engine. !!! ERG !!!
It was still a nice presentation
We know there is some confusion around used games on Xbox One and wanted to provide a bit of clarification on exactly what we’ve confirmed today. While there have been many potential scenarios discussed, today we have only confirmed that we designed Xbox One to enable our customers to trade in and resell games at retail.
Beyond that, we have not confirmed any specific scenarios.
Another piece of clarification around playing games at a friend’s house – should you choose to play your game at your friend’s house, there is no fee to play that game while you are signed in to your profile.

“These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise, it's continuing mission to explore a strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone before.”-Gene Roddenberry
Additionally Microsoft is known for taking feedback and making product changes quick so this information is also subject to change until release.
Is this true? Besides pushing back the conference for one whole month... I can't think of anything that supports that. Probably my memory going bad on me, though.
Looks like a lot of mad going on here and everywhere elsewhere. The Xbox One is going to dominate the market. Microsoft is going to continue its trend of being bigger and better than Sony, Nintendo, Steam and so on, much as it has been for the past 36 months in a row.

I hope this is sarcasm or I would love to see where your getting your statistics from. Because the Wii has won the profit war in the current generation.

Steam? If anything, more and more console players I know are switching because of the sales on it. Even my dad and brother aren't too happy with this. I'd like to see where you're getting this from.
Both sides too. To be honest I usually don't judge a console to much until a few mouths after release, when other things can come up.

I like the looks of a lot of the new features and exclusives; however, I am rather concerned about the direction they're taking it with the requirements for Kinect and regular internet connection. I've appreciated Microsoft's respectful distance in the past, but I worry that is changing. I dearly hope that they do not become another EA. As this is the first day of announcement, I await further details before making a full judgment, and especially look forward to E3.
If all else fails, we still have Steam. Valve is the last gaming/distribution company that I can say that I trust and admire.

Intelligence is not one and the same with knowledge.
Looks blah to me. I love Xbox. 360. The One looks like crap. I'm not buying it, I'll spend my money on a computer that will still be up to date in a year.
Oh yeah and bum bum bummmm:
Xbox One:
Old VHS player:
and the old VHS player still doesnt seem big and bulky enough to look like the Xbox One...

It's actually an ingenious design by Microsoft to camouflage it from your parents, who will think it's a VHS player from their carefree twenties in the 1990s and thus not screw with it.
Ok so I am a bit dissapointed with the news that's been streaming out.
I'm really not sure what's actually happening. I mean, for the Always online stuff they're saying it won't always require a connection but it will have to be connected. So... what happens if we're not connected? I can understand not being able to watch live tv or play online but that really doesn't require any news? So will it actually require you to connect once a day? What happens if you don't?
As for the paying a fee for people to play a used game I can sort of understand that. I mean as long as the developers of the game get a piece of that fee and the fee isn't too much (say 10+ bucks) then it wouldn't be a major issue. But I frequently trade games and what not with friends so I can sort of demo a game before I actually purchase it. So would I have to purchase it to be able to play at all? That seems kinda bull and I don't wanna hang around with my friends to play on their consoles :l
I have so many more questions now than I did before this news.
I'm looking forward to their E3 in which I hope they get their act together and give us some real godang news
Edit:
Also, what happened to that Xbox Mini thing that was rumored to let you play 360 games on the Xbox One, is that still a thing, or will there just be 0 backwards compatibility period? Seems like too stupid of a move for a company to make honestly.
So, if the PS4 doesn't have the used game fee built in, how are developers going to handle cross platform titles? I wonder if we'll see all the big guys offering exclusivity to Microsoft.
It was still a nice presentation

For example the used games thing:

Now I need eye surgery.

Xbox 360 has been the top selling console every month for the past 27 months. My bad for saying 36. I was a bit off.

Still, it's been destroying Nintendo and Sony for over two years now.

You still haven't given us the numbers for Nintendo and Sony. How can we say it's dominating anything if we don't know how well it's doing?

Maybe I'll just get a Wii U.
BRILLIANT! Innovation of the century! Exactly what I wanted out of a games console!
