World of Warcraft is pretty good in my book.
But my top favorite is Space Station 13.

It was City of Heroes until NCSoft shut it down (those illegitimate spawn). I guess WoW would be my current favorite MMORPG, though I haven't played it in a long time. DC Universe Online and Planetside 2 would also be up there.
I haven't played WoW since WotLC, but I did play it for about 6 years, so it's definitely the one I stuck to the longest. No other MMO held my attention for nearly as long as that one.
If I get an MMO craving these days, I just load up Guild Wars 2, because it's a game that doesn't require a subscription and therefore doesn't make me feel like I have to play it all the time to get my money's worth.
Out of the two MMO's I've played, Runescape when it was good and Guild Wars 2 now, I'd say Guild Wars 2 over-all is the best. One thing that RS did much, much better than any RPG I've ever played though is quests. Not the usual "kill and disrupt centaurs." No that had it's own skill to level, instead you had proper quest and story-lines.
This.
RuneScape quests were the best I have seen. Real quests. Real story lines. Real puzzles. Nice boss fights. The quests affected your enviroment. Quests took hours to complete. The best part is that they unlocked perks and special items. That gives you a sense of progression. If they hadn't done crap during 2010, I might have stayed just for the quests.
my favorite one that does not exist is Sword Art Online
my most hated one is WoW
Which is when I quit.
But my top favorite is Space Station 13.

2-4 years of my childhood was in that game.
I did play Runescape and WoW but they feel like a chore to play them. So I pretty much stopped playing after a day or two.
The hell? Are we playing the same games?
Apparently not.
MS is a more kid-friendly game so yes , it's not really a chore to play it.
That's why I said MS is a game that kids will play ,not adults or teenagers.

Char builds were unique, PvP was amazing and PKs were ruthless. I feel bad for those of you that were too young to experience this game.
