To kick this off lets get it started with the song "Far away" made by Jose Gonzalez in Red Dead Redemption
I like this song from Red Dead Redemption because when I rode into Mexico on horse the music and the Landscape distracted me so well that I just rode in sync with the song. Finally heading towards Chuparosa I stopped spurring my horse and went slower and slower, the music calmly stopped as I finally rode into under the towns stone gate and began my first mission with Landon Ricketts.
Now there is "The skin on our teeth". Made by Valve in their game L4D.
Now this song encourages fear and the thought that you just wanna get the hell out of that location and hop on the rescue vehicle. Running from a huge horde of zombies and a tank who is constantly throwing rubble at you while you run in fear.
Also the killing floor song for when the Patriarch appears. "Abandon all".
Now once on a bus my IRL friend let me play a little bit of killing floor, And since I was so interested in the game I would promise myself that I will get killing floor. And when I get to the final wave with the Patriarch comes I will hear this.
Another song is "Schweine" By Glukoza featured in GTA IV.
This song usually plays when I'm doing missions with Roman. Two Siberian cousins and a Russian song on the radio while riding an a Banshee. What could be better?
Obligatory Morrowind soundtrack inbound! This is so amazing because of how serene yet powerful it is. It's taste of what is to come: a huge, alien and dark world for you to explore and survive in. The OST for this game is entirely fantastic, and it really immerses you. The theme song just oozes atmosphere and meaning.
From Ace Combat 5, "The Unsung War" plays during the final mission as your squadron desperately shoots apart a large satellite on a collision course with a major city (it's a very dramatic moment in the context of the game's story). The game's soundtrack, in general, is excellent.
Darc's Theme, from Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits, plays during the overworld map and embodies Darc's anger and resolve. The game's soundtrack, in general, is excellent.
The Delphinus Theme from Skies of Arcadia plays when the player is piloting the Delphinus sky ship around the game's world. The theme describes the game's sense of exploration and even adds musical elements whenever the player enters certain areas. Again, the game's soundtrack, in general, is excellent and I'll also note that Skies of Arcadia is my all-time favorite RPG.
Here's a song from Sonic CD's "Chaos Collision (Bad future)" stage. The Sonic CD soundtrack (the American one, mind you, I'm not fond of the Japanese/European version) is excellent. In the game each stage is broken up into 4 variations: past, present, good future, and bad future... if the player doesn't thwart Robotnik in both the past and present, if they travel into the future they'll get the bad future variation. The bad future songs are very dark and foreboding, embodying a dystopia created by Robotnik, while the good future songs sound very... I'd say "fleeting, tenuous, yet heroic". The past songs tend to sound mysterious and exotic, while the present songs sound busy and exciting.
From Perfect Dark Zero (an underrated game IMO), Trinity Escape plays at the beginning of an escape from an ocean lab and fits great in context of the game and is fun to listen to outside the game. The game's soundtrack, in general, is excellent.
And here's a sixth song, because I'm a rebel. This is Valkenhayn's theme from Blazblue Continuum Shift and it's really neat. Blazblue's soundtrack, in general, is excellent.
I don't have any videos on me (Sorry :c )
But I would say Final Fantasy 4 boss music , Metroid Prime credits music , Pokemon Red Champion music , and Pokemon Gold and Heartgold (And Silver and Soulsilver) Champion music.
Sorry if I'm not allowed to post without a video :c
No youtube video. I don't want to have to spend hours looking for one that doesn't have cussing in the background. Anyway, The Gerudo Valley theme from Zelda Ocarina of time and the title screen theme from Zelda Wind Waker.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
My current avatar is Gyro Zeppeli from the popular manga Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. He's my favorite character. I love his optimism, dry humor, and his ability to do considerable damage even without a stand.
OP can I make a suggestion? Add to the rules that the links must be hidden behind spoilers It'll just make everything a lot less messy and easier to look through without having to scroll 10 miles to get past one post.
I cannot believe NOBODY put Gerudo Valley from LoZ: Ocarina of Time. This is by far my favorite song because of the action that goes on when you are making your way up to the Gorons. The Rolling Boulders and Enemies add to this effect, making this my favorite song of all time. (Especially the Dubsteb'd version.)
I remember putting the disc in for the first time, expecting a crazy mindless alien shooter. Then the title menu played this. It's possible my life changed. Beyond the famous Gregorian chants, when the strings come in, it sends chills down my spine every time. I lose it when they swell. Amazing song.
But the version that plays at the end of 3... damn. That is quality music.
Lavender town song from original pokemon xD
(Snip)
This is why i stopped playing pokemon when i was younger
Clearly if you watched the video past 10 seconds the four words simply just couldn't be enough. And because this is text and not audio i got nova to do the voice for me.

This song just fits this fight perfect
While this is only 2 tracks from the game the rest are just as equally great.
