I was just bored with my games (except for orcs must die), so I was looking around steam and found Gmod. I was wondering if you guys think it will keep me intrigued for many hours of gameplay. It looks fun, but I don't wanna waste ten bucks.

I bought it and I think it's a waste of time. Even more so now since Source Filmmaker is what's primarily used to make videos in the Source engine instead.

That's true if all you're going to do is stay in single player, posing models & creating NPC battles. Hop into the multiplayer server browser, however, and you'll find hundreds of servers with custom gamemodes that range from roleplay to minigames. My personal favourite is Trouble In Terrorist Town. To summarize it, a group of terrorists, among them are a few traitors (depending on how many players there are) who get access to special equipment and need to eliminate all of the "innocent" terrorists without revealing their identity. That alone is enough to buy GMod.
I got the game, but I have a problem. I installed a css gun mod and a texture fixer, but I still just get red rectangles at the top of my screen. Any ideas?

Do you have CS:S installed onto steam on the account you're using?
no I don't own it. I heard that I would need to have HL2 installed for them to show up properly, but I don't want to get it because I'd have nothing left of my hard drive.
