Well, it wouldn't make too much sense to have a bathroom on most cities, but it would have been a touch for detail if they had a small public "hole" house in Riften. After all, they have a sewer and it would only make sense. But that doesn't really matter.
Can't believe nobody's commented on Solstheim yet...
I didn't because I'm not really a fan of the decision. I don't dislike it; but it's a bit lame that we're going there again. A new place would have been more appropriate. Granted, Solstheim has changed a lot, but all the mystery and excitement of discovering the landscape and all new places? Gone.
I think they're doing a lot of this to appeal to Morrowind fans like me, but personally, considering I wasn't impressed with their last stuff (mostly on aesthetics), I'm not really excited about it
In response to some expected replies:
"BUT IT'LL STILL BE GOOD YOUR STUPID IDIOT!" - It will, probably. But that doesn't mean there weren't better options.
"YOU'RE HATING ON THIS AWESOME GAME YOU DUMBASS!" - Don't be a fanboy like the rest. I am a costumer, I have all rights to cricticize a product. And it helps the developers for next time. And no, this is not hating.
"WE DON'T EVEN KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT!" - Remember I said I don't dislike it; I merely think the concept is missing potential.
Oh look! I found an error in the DLC!
What's the problem here? Look at how close Red Mountain is to Solstheim. Realistically that wouldn't be possible - you'd be able to see part of the coastline of Vvardenfell, but Red Mountain would only be visible as an outline. Not something that'll affect it, but a lack of attention the detail nonetheless.
Ah and did anybody notice the new Bonemold model? It's cool, albeit looking like a T-51b armor from Fallout

Looks nice, but personally I would like to see what Chitin looks like.
Also, it seems we're going to be able to visit Hermaeous (sp?) Mora's realm in this DLC. Thoughts?
No, actually. It's made of many layers of insect shells.
I wonder what's gonna be the full story of the other dragonborn (aka Mr. Vaginaface). I always wondered what interactions between two would be like. Rivals, I expect.
Quick question to anyone who can answer, how optimized is skyrim compared to lets say about 6 months ago?
(aka I could play semi-modded with decent fps before, would it be better now?)
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I NO LONGER USE THIS ACCOUNT MY NEW ACCOUNT IS YWZMATT!!!
I'm currently playing a Warrior Nord that went the Stormcloak way, but I will not always play that save.
Does anyone have a suggestion on what character I should make in my next playthrough.
Here's the option I mainly use to make a new character.
-Khajiit
-Assassins/ Thief
-Imperial
-1 Handed Daggers+Bows+Illusion/ Destruction Magic
-Neutral, not particularly Dark Brotherhood evil, nor pure (being an assassins x3)
-High Elf
-Mage
-Stormcloak (But loyal to the Thalmor)
-Magic
-Evillllll (My only vampire character) lol
I decided to pick up Skyrim from the shelf again after not touching it for a few months. Made a new character - Imperial, Mage, roughly based on Mr. House from Fallout... it's being fun.
Alas I haven't taken many looks at Dragonborn after its release. Has anybody here got it yet?
EDIT: Ok, after taking a few looks at the wiki page, I got some opinions. Not anything about the main quest, so don't worry about reading it:
First, that jerk Neloth reappears, but I'm very disappointed he is another one on the large pile of unkillable characters. Oh well.
Second, Raven Rock's fate was so... sad. I expected it from Oblivion, but still, I loved the little town.
Third, loved the concept of Karstaag's appearance - as a spirit. He may have been a pain in the back before,
Fourth, the patchwork airship returning was also lovely.
I'll wait until the wiki updates for plot stuff. Otherwise, these are my impressions.
I just finished the Gauldur quest and one of them used Disarm on me and now I can't find my goddam Superior Axe!
That happened to my enchanted elven mace first time I played, I don't remember which dungeon it was. Anyway, somehow I managed to create this mace to be more powerful than it normally would to my level, possibly because of its stamina effect, and I was crushing everyone with it. Then I battled this Draugr deathlord in a circular room, and couldn't find it again. It went up and presumable clipped over the walls.
The mace's name was Frostmourne, because I had been thinking of Warcraft at the time.

Oh and the new Ricklings are forgetabble
Fortify one hand? Bathroom? Bandit camp? I bet that book is the lusty argonian maid. Am I right?

In this one cave, there's a deeply dug hole, a bucket and chair, guess what do bandits need it for.
No wonder there is a Random Chair & Bucket in a corner of my house...

enemies scale to the character so you can do it at literally any level.
