Ah, I see. That's what I suspected, since the sellers at the AH need to make a profit off of them, but I was thinking that buying the materials would account for it. I was looking at the Cobalt set so that I could get into T2, since I don't really have an interest in any 2* armor. I will, however, pick up the Gunslinger Hat and Sash at 3*, when I get to T2.
I also recommend you get Magic Hood or Cloak, as they look quite nice and give you a big elemental defense.

Maybe if I have more on-hand materials from dungeoneering for those than Cobalt Set, that way, I save a few crowns. But I'm not going to be picky for 2* armor, since I'll be upgrading to Gunslinger equipment for 3* equips. I carry a sword and a gun, but focus more on the gun.

I wouldn't focus on guns too much. Guns, for me, are useless, and instead I just use another sword or bombs.

I like guns, actually.
I've accepted that guns aren't supposed to outdamage swords or bombs, and instead, I like the flexibility of guns in most situations. I think they're like a cross between swords and bombs in a way; guns usually have an on-hit status ailments whereas most sword lines do not, and they don't need to be charged to be of use, unlike bombs.
Of course, it's a trade off when swords have more DPS than guns, and bombs have multi-target CC.

Oh well. Maybe we can do a jelly run tomorrow. I have to sleep now.
Which, unlike many MMOs with microcurrencies, you can buy said microcurrency with in-game money. Still, god forbid gaming companies actually making money from things with the sole purpose to entertain you!
Yeah, plus, it's only about 4.7k crowns. You should do some solo runs, get about 3.5k crowns, and sell the mats in AH.
What I do to sell mats is sell a very popular-bought material and put it at an extremely low price (30 crowns for 2 iron gears, for example). By night (or 4 hours), I get about 770+ crowns from it. It's a nice way to get crowns, really.
It's not that bad, but I'm wondering who the hay has the time to do the clock works tower and get to the core
The depth levels are separated by tiers. Players in Tier 1 may only access something like levels 0-6 or something, and Tier 2 can access 0-14, but may choose to start at 7. The numbers are completely off, but you get the idea.

EDIT: Holy ****, CE prices are 5.2k.
Welp. There goes like 3,000 players quitting. 2k more crowns until everybody leaves again and Spiral Knights is dead.
I've actually been rather successful by buying aggressively on the auction house and then taking advantage of the fact that people are willing to pay a premium to avoid going through the same hassle. Let me tell you, actually winning a low-priced auction on the AH is most definitely a hassle. You have to place a lot of bids on a lot of items and then defend those bids furiously. I can see why people will pay a bit more for a buy-it-now price that seems reasonable.
I've been doing this for only a few days and, supplemented with some crafting, I've been able to buy 200 crystal energy so far.
In short: AH arbitrage is a good way to make money regardless of how much mist energy you have. Crafting is a good way to turn your mist energy into crystal energy.
Spiral Knights is a boring game. Now stop calling every top-down WoW game with dungeon crawling elements a Zelda game. Zelda is a different thing entirely.
When people call it Zelda-like, they're comparing it to 4 swords.
So me and an inexperienced, ill-prepared party made our way through T2's Onyx Queen gate. Not really.
Barely surviving the forest before, we took our chances and hoped for anything but a Graveyard...
Yeah.
I think we made record time on that speedrun. While we gained 1 nanometer of heat, about 5-6 phantoms and 2 skeletons (probably 20 still wandering around) were knocking on the cage.
After that, we went into the gremlin factory.
While our blue AFKed, our red and teal died and ragequitted. I was left to kite 25 gremlins and constructs...yeah. I got bored. The picture only shows like, 10, but trust me. They were waiting on the other side D:

And I have no energy :tongue.gif: Works out for both of us.
Yeah, I got bored of Spiral Knights the first day I downloaded it.

I know, right?! I was looking for those too. I found some Buy prices at ~170 though, maybe I bought them all. :biggrin.gif:
It's better to just go farm tokens and go to Brinks.
Next goal : Get Sealed Sword, than upgrade it finally to Gran Faust :biggrin.gif:.

don't click this link...
