I have managed to save the world. I am now going to begin my work on this game again.

There's a surprise in store.

Also, I will be needing your assistance. All of you. I'll tell you when, but make sure you're ready to be by my side, just once, in battle.

I did manage to save the world, for now. My time can now go back into the game.
I'm working on a new title and graphical style. I want it to feel and play just like Minecraft, but still be a new, fresh experience. I have some ideas on paper that I'm working with.
Online play is going to be at the very core of the engine of this game. It's going to revolve mostly around online, seeing as that's the most fun.

Finally, I need a fan in the area. I need one of you, ANY one of you, to meet up with me and discuss/test the games on a regular basis. The moment you find me that local fan, I will begin to devote 18 hours a week to the game, and I will release the official, final name and website. Want to help? My local area is Victoria BC, Canada. Find a fan that can be somewhere nearby, for meetings.

I vow to work for 18 hours a week, every week, if you can do this for me. That fan will, in fact, be my witness. :smile.gif:

I'm working over-time on Research and Development, from scratch. I just need to decide a few things. Answer a few polls and I'll guide my efforts to whatever direction you decide.

Spread the word, also. I really am working overtime on programming stuff. In the past 5 days, I wrote a 20 page tutorial on XML, designed a 3D Minecraft Engine with Smoothed Terrain, and designed a 2D light engine, synced an Ajax Chat on my website with an app on my desktop, among many other things.

I think, after all of this, I'm confident in my ability to make WHATEVER you guys want me to make, so get polling!

If you make online play first, I think that would be more of a draw then like infinite landscape, even though both are really cool. :biggrin.gif:

I think I see where it's going, but I need a little more input before I commit to it.

Need RTS, brain dying due to overdose of point and clicks, and I never have enough time for a good set of games for SC2

Is it just me, or are the demo links broken?

It's not just you. The old domain went down. These fans are dedicated, haha.

It seems that most people would prefer a story mode/campaign to online play.
I can see what your going at, but multiplayer imo makes everything better.
Like,even collecting wood would be fun with multiplayer.

Happy new year, fans! Looks like my New Years Resolution is to make and FINISH a 3D RTS with Minecraft-like graphics and a killer campaign mode, topping it off with a Website and Account System post-production!

I've been making a MineCraft Tower Defense, it's awesome, it has unlimited waves and you place different kinds of Human in the field to stop the Creeps (from Zombies up to Ghasts, even Enderman) from reaching your fort.

This, of course, is to get my Strategy Game Design skills up to par, and also because it will take considerably less time than the RTS, which can come after.
