Jack was just now coming to his senses after being hit in the head by some tall, burly man who was wearing a blue jacket and black jeans. His white t-shirt had a stain on it that looked mysteriously like beer. Or something.
"Hey! Ow! What was that for?" He complained, holding his hand to his head. ((Do I have to post powers of NPCs? I think I do...))

"Whatever. You... you should try to not get angry, dude. Now, get out of here."
They were located in a dark, wall lined alleyway. Small windows stared out across the divide, wooden planks above them intensifying the effect.
"What? I should... I don't even know you! I was just... I just appeared on a boat, I don't eve- hey! Come back!" The man had turned around and stalked out of the alley. He was suddenly engulfed by the throng of everyday people moving about on the streets on both sides of the alley.
"I... what's even going on?" Jack sat down on the cold, hard ground and cradled his head in his arms.
He'd spent some time running around the city for no apparent reason - at least, nothing apart from impulsiveness, and, as such, was now completely worn out.
He did something stupid.
"One to one hundred and... five?" He said. Suddenly, he noticed a silver dollar on the ground by his foot.
"At least that's normal. Oh wait, but that's not " He paused, a hitch in his voice. "... normal..."

His name's Nex. He's male, has messy black hair, eyes comparable to black holes, and tends to rip out his own hair, go through stress attacks, or other mental discomforts.
His mental problems are unrivaled. One of his favorite past-times is sitting in the corner of his apartment ripping out his hair and scraping at his skin as if mosquitoes ravaged every part of his body. He particularly does this to the back of his neck.
His ability is mental and it revolves around his hair. If you were a demon, his hair would be holy water.
The stuff burns. It stabs into your skin and then leaves it feeling like you got a million mosquito bites there for days. It's like lemon juice in a wound that digs into your skin and gets stuck there. It's like a bee sting, but with a lot more burning.
His mind charges his hair follicles, turning them into 'flaming needles', then allowing him telekinetic control over the hairs. He does not control the process of them being made, though all his hair is made that way as they come out. The hair does this to himself, but he's gained a tolerance to it. Doesn't stop him from losing his mind as he rips at the back of his neck causing perpetual streams of blood. As such, the tips of his hair on the back of his head usually dye red.
In addition, the hair cannot be cut, only pulled or fall out. It is surprisingly a lot like light-weight needles coated in powerful, painful neurotoxin.
Guess where he gets those mental problems.
Despite all that, he is a certified genius. His problems train-wreck over each other, so he doesn't have time to worry about his homicidal urges. Therapy is doing wonders. He hasn't nearly killed himself or anyone else in an entire week.
He is under watch by the Brinkhaven police.
The van bumped along the dirt path, lurching around every time it hit a pothole. Which, needless to say, was a lot. After a seemingly long ride, it stopped, sending out a blinding dust cloud . They came out as it settled. Vilks hopped out, noticing the fence, and the figures beyond it. He muttered something about couldn't wait for me and beckoned towards the others. Charlie past him, up to the fence. After testing it, he retrieved a pair of wire-cutters and cut a sizable hole in the wiring, before going through. Ivy followed him, nervous and excited. Vilks morphed, and ran up a tree , his large claws digging into the bark, and twisting onto the top of the fence, his tough pads protecting him from the barbs. He'd just made it back down to the ground when he noticed the hole. Oh . They ran forwards, meeting up with the others (Max, Liam and Jenny).

"Eh, it's fine. Names are of no matter. Mine is Aaron. Nice to meet you Yulvtar," Aaron said, bowing with a sarcastic demeanor. "And about this task, I still have no idea. I was just told to meet them at the faction house, but they weren't there. So I decided to go on my own. And now I'm here." Looking around, Aaron started to become restless. "Well, standing around isn't going to do anything, and I want to make it, so let's go!" Aaron told the man, continuing into the forest, blowing away the foliage. Aaron broke out of forest clearing to see a fence. "I think I found it!" Aaron shouted excitedly.

Yulvs Followed Aaron through the Jungle, in large steps. "A fence? hmm. I think from now on it's property of someone, i think. We can investigate it, maybe. I think we should be carefull, though. no one knows what's out there." Putted the lighter in the left pocket, and continued to follow the air manipulator, even though he didn't know Aaron was one.
Get up, you idiot. Jack thought to himself. Honestly, sobbing into your arm is not the way to solve whatever problems you may have.
Jack slowly pushed himself up, off of the cold cobblestone ground, and stood up. He closed his eyes and hummed to himself for a few seconds, trying to calm himself down.
"Okay... new city, new things... I should try to find someone to help me out." He said, after eventually calming down enough so that he wasn't on the verge of tears anymore.
Thus saying, he walked out into the still thick throng of people and walked along for an indeterminate amount of time, finally happening upon the gate where he and the other group of people had been let in. Using his feeble memory, he tried to remember where the others had gone.
They'd gone to that giant squatting stone building to Jack's left, he was sure of it. So he went there, trying to not shove his way through the assortment of people lining the road. Eventually, he made it to the building. There were cracked marble steps leading up to the large red double doors situated in the middle of the brown expanse of bricks that was the front wall of the building. There were no windows to speak of, and an overhang of cracked marble hung over the door, making it sheltered from the sun's burning rays. Jack entered the building.

Name: Silvira Segura
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Power(s): she can shapeshift, into anything she has seen in real life or her mind, she can also blend characteristics of varying creatures to create a form with a lot of power.
Weaknesses and Limits: it takes time for her to shift to a form, varying from a few moments for forms she uses often to an hour for a completely new form. She can also become disoriented from the change in senses, and in body shape. She also has to have felt the type of skin she uses in the form(such as having to feel a snake’s scales before being able to use them in her form), otherwise it will be some kind of bodily covering she had felt before. She also is limited by size in what she can change into, she cannot become smaller than a rat or larger than a rhinoceros. She requires energy in the form of food to shapeshift, and must be able to concentrate without interruption to shift, otherwise the form will backfire on her, causing her to get a migraine and possibly even to change her form to something far from what she intended.
Appearance:
Personality: Silvira tends to be a little mistrusting, having lost most of her family to the ETG, then being captured by them herself, she is always afraid of them. However, others with powers she clings to, because they’re like her, and forced to run as well.
History: Silvira was raised far from society, in an attempt by her father to keep her safe from the dreaded ETG. For her mother and brothers had suffered a terrible fate at the hands of the ETG...
When Silvira was a kid, their family- her father, Steven, her mother, Valeria, and her older twin brothers, Miguel and Garen- lived in a small town. On the night of her tenth birthday, they were having a small celebration for her as a family. As they sang happy birthday to her, the door burst open to reveal unwanted guests: ETG soldiers. Synths. Her father grabbed Silvira up in his arms, running from the house as her mother and brothers stood to cover their escape. The last view she had of her brothers and mother was the three of them, her mother standing with her brothers on either side, her mother glowing with electricity and her brothers, one on fire and the other encased in a shimmering armor of ice. Her father carried her far and fast, never resting for more than a few moments. The minutes since they left stretched to hours, and to days. Then to weeks. She knew they would never go back.
~~~eight years later~~~
Silvira and her father lived together, in a shack far away from any town or city. Silvira had been taught all her father knew about weapons, and she could shoot a gun with fairly good precision. Her father had also taught her how to best use her power, and they ate quite well from Silvira’s hunting. She learned the weaknesses of her power, and the strong points, creating herself templates for quick shifting. Her human form was always the easiest to change to, but she had two others she used often enough to change to with ease: a large cat with otter’s fur and gills, and a falcon. So they lived, quite happily. Until the day the ETG showed back up. It was near the same situation as it had been, eight years before: the ETG breaking down the door with synth soldiers, floodlights filling the house with harsh light, shouting. But this time, there were tranquilizers. She had no time to change, no time to even think about escape. They were caught and tranquilized within seconds. Silvira woke up to find herself in a new hell, of labs and tests and the smell of antiseptic. She hoped, every day after they were finished with testing for the day, that there would be some change, some way to escape. A few tortured months later, they dragged her out of the cage where they were keeping her. Expecting more tests, she struggled enough that they were forced to tranquilize her. When she awoke, it was not to lab equipment but to a change of scenery. They had moved her to a different facility. One that appeared only partially built. She was glad, hopeful that there might be some chance of escape, especially since they didn’t seem inclined to do any tests on her here. So she waited, looking for any chance to escape.
"Actually, I think this is where we're supposed to be!" Aaron claimed, boosting himself with a gust of air. he just barely grazed the barbed wire, his face going pale as he got to the other side. "I see other people!" Aaron yelled over to Yulvtar, running towards the group of people. Suddenly, one guy from the group turned around and had water flowing from his arms, coming out of his body. Weirded out, Aaron backed up and put his hands up. The guy then asked a question. "My name is Aaron, I'm a Gifted. Not a Synth or anything." The guy lowered his guard a bit, but not completely. "I'm here for the 9:00 o'clock mission. I suppose you guys are the group?"
[Clyde]
Clyde was twiddling his thumbs when he heard a person yelling, and running towards them. He quickly had water come out of his body and aimed it at the direction the voice was coming from, his hands splayed outwards when he saw a guy running over to them, yet he seemed as if he was normal. His hands still outstretched, Clyde yelled, "Who are you!" When he replied back, Clyde lowered his hands, but still kept them ready in case he was trying to fool him. "What are you doing here?" Clyde was about to answer "Yea-," when suddenly Netal cut him off.
[Netal]
Netal sat on the ground and was looking around when a person yelled from his left. He turned to the left and saw a guy running, but saw Clyde handling the situation, so he decided to stop. Seeing the person say he was a Gifted, Netal got interested, and when he asked if this was the site of the mission, Netal said, "I guess. I mean, I just allowed myself to be taken away in some mans van, but I suppose this is it."
Yulvs waves up his hand "My name is Yulvtar, as Aaron isn't a Synth, i'm not too." he walked to the second group, trying to make contact. "So.. hmm, what we're supposed to do?" he said, excited for some thrill and action. "I mean no harm to you all, i just want to help.. and get the reward too, of course." "Maybe after this we can take a pizza together in my apartment." he said, trying to look cool.
Silvira sighed, sitting on the floor of her small cage in the shape of a cat. the cage was made of mesh, too small for her to get through. they know my power too well, she thinks, frustrated. so many tests. she shivered slightly, curling up on the cold metallic floor of her cage. she lays her fluffy tail over her nose, and settles down to try and sleep.
Photosynthesis is the process of drawing energy from the sun and turning it into glucose where it can be used in the process of respiration to form energy usable to the body.
If you can manipulate photosynthesis, you can basically accelerate growth (and more accordingly, healing) to varying degrees.
It's a very complex process.
Also this: http://bulbapedia.bu...ynthesis_(move)
What abilities did they have? I seem to recall one being manipulation of wind. That one is elemental.
Yes, this RP does, if you start a black hole, you are likely to be killed by it if not done under certain circumstances. though as a work of fiction, exaggeration isn't really disputed much.
Amadeus' aesthetics are something like Tate,
The one on the left.
and a little bit of this:
So like, tate, but not so nubby looking, but still slightly androgynous looking))
When Amadeus finally reached the place, all hell was breaking loose. Crow was flying after someone who was leaving a continuous trail of violent sparky flamey stuff while riding on a broom, some little girl in a gundam suit was firing missiles, a guy without a head, but with several floating heads around the place was firing lasers, a guy who was literally emanating grenades, and a few people that seemed stuck in between.
Amadeus quickly gripped each and every one of them along with everyone else (not that there really is anyone else in this firestorm) into his control. He takes a deep breath, closing his eyes. When he opens them, he realizes something is moving. He didn't notice it before, the dust is still settling, but it's definitely moving. It's standing up. Someone's moving. Someone's moving. No one should be moving. No one should be moving. No one should be moving. He tells himself 3 times, but it does nothing but stir up more unease.
Sure enough, up rises a man with cracked glasses. He's smeared with blood and missing an arm. Judging by the tourniquet on it, it was recent too. He wears primarily green and has 2 holstered pistols on either side of his pants. 1 arm... 2 pistols...
He was making quiet, absent noises, like his mind was vacant. His eyes were glazed over by a sheet of white, but it looks like his eyes were green. Amadeus can't stop looking at them, because they were staring right at him.
He starts shuffling over towards him.
((Image use x2 combo))
<[Amadeus]>
'You are' Amadeus and you have never been so scared in your life. Oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god it's coming towards me f█ck.
It just had to be a zombie. It just HAD to be a zombie. It could have been satan/hades/whatever horrifying unholy creature itself and you wouldn't be this scared. Zombies are the one thing you can't deal with. Zombies and non-sentient beings like carnivorous plants are the only things you can't control. Plants don't chase you.
You hit the side of the partially demolished building behind you with your back. When had you started backing up? OH HELL WHEN DID HE GET THAT CLOSE?
He was right in your face. You could smell him. He smelt of death, decay, and grass. Judging by how he was still making incoherent sounds, he doesn't sound like he's sapient.
As he draws near, you instinctively raise your arm in front of you to defend yourself. You brace yourself, as if the zombie in front of him was a demon bent of your destruction, closing your eyes in fear. Everyone's staring at you and the zombie, you can feel their gazes searing into your skin. It may be an irrational fear, but you know as well as you do that you're not thinking rationally right now.
The zombie steps forward and bites your arm.
Reaction face.
[Jake] *Nom*
Amadeus flips the f█ck out. He just full on drops to the ground off his already shaking jelly legs and has a full on spastic seizure, yelling and screaming worse than a rape victim.
Jake offers nothing in return more than a blank look. Not even a confused one.
When you're upholding mind control, totally losing it is bound to have effects on your "victims".
Valen could feel the rush of pure unbridled insanity rush through his mind with no coherent start, finish, or goal. He could feel his body move in random jerks in random directions. This must look really stupid. He didn't need to wonder though, he could see everyone else behaving just the same way. It definitely looked stupid.
[Parsee] "Jake!"
Jake doesn't even turn. He's still staring down at the epilepsy-filled man writhing before him.
Iradia, her maidens of death and S arrive. S couldn't help but smile at the people around him. Their minds were like treasure troves. Unlike S, Iradia freezes almost immediately.
She starts twitching.
She barks a command. "Destroy."
With much hesitation, Yuuka starts firing solar lasers, Shou starts ripping apart and throwing reality, the blazing shards ripping through nearby buildings, and Poison starts punching the buildings with as little grace as possible. The concrete crushes under her fists. They were joined by the others as Mimmy, Aaron, Xzyckxse, etc. directed their weapons toward collateral damage.
[Hina] AHAHAHAHAHA!
[S] "What."
[Hina] "Eh!? When did you get here!?"
[S] "I was here the entire time. I was even there before Parsee killed that guy. Jake was it?"
Hina was fighting hard not to look unnerved, but could tell by S' face he knew she was.
[Hina] "Fine, fine. I cursed everyone and now they're apparently not having a seizure. Now they're all psychopaths."
[S] "I'm guessing abilities are at work here."
[Hina] "Multiple. Speaking of which, why aren't you on a rampage?"
[S] "You only noticed me now."
[Hina] "Eh..."
Suddenly, a woman appeared out of nowhere. Out of thin air. Her backed was turned to S and Hina, looking at Jake and Amadeus. She was floating.
[???] "What's going on here!?"
Suddenly, Mystia.
It was quite far away, so S could barely make it out. It was coming from behind him, and just the little sound made him sleepy.
On the other hand, the woman in front of him flat out fell to the ground in sleep. Shame. He didn't get to find out her ability.
[Hina] "Oh my god."
[S] "What?"
[Hina] "That was the queen."
[S] "Brinkhaven has a queen?"
He didn't get an answer, because the violence began again with a vengeance, and almost immediately as it did, a nearby building-the one near Jake and Amadeus, started tumbling down from a recent blow of a laser or missile or something. It would crush all of them.
((I'm so sorry, but I can't delete effectively on my phone. So this quote has to be this long.))
((Ryik, I understand photosynthesis, but all it does is create energy in the form of glucose. Jake's body does not have the chloroplasts for photosynthesis. Unless her photosynthesis creates glucose directly in Jake, rebuilding his arm. Ehhh i don't know about that but whatever.))
The people inside the bounds of the ETG fence line. ))
<Liam>
I watch in amazement as six people arrive at the ETG base almost simultaneously, then wince as I see someone cut the fence with wirecutters. Most secure facilities run an electrical charge thru their perimeter fence that sets off an alarm if the charge is interrupted. An ETG base like this would almost certainly have such an alarm. Now that the fence has been cut, I just hope the security systems of the base weren't up and running yet. They were.
<Jake>
To Liam, Max, and Jenny, I say "Cutting the fence tripped the alarm. A guard should be arriving in moments to check for intruders or a false alarm (such as an animal). We need to go."
<Liam>
"How do you know that?"
<Jake>
"It's standard protocol."
<Liam>
"Then we're screwed. So much for a surprise attack."
As I say that, a guard steps forward to the edge of the roof of the base, his figure outlined against the night sky. Before anyone can react, jake teleports behind the guard and pushes him off of the roof.
"Jeezus Jake!"
The guards body lands with a muffled thump. Jake steps off of the roof moments later, landing soundlessly.
(The building is 2-3 stories tall)
<Jake>
"Attack. They know we're here."
"Eh, it's fine. Names are of no matter. Mine is Aaron. Nice to meet you Yulvtar," Aaron said, bowing with a sarcastic demeanor. "And about this task, I still have no idea. I was just told to meet them at the faction house, but they weren't there. So I decided to go on my own. And now I'm here." Looking around, Aaron started to become restless. "Well, standing around isn't going to do anything, and I want to make it, so let's go!" Aaron told the man, continuing into the forest, blowing away the foliage. Aaron broke out of forest clearing to see a fence. "I think I found it!" Aaron shouted excitedly.
((We're going to the mission, right Lucky?))
[Clyde & Netal]
Netal and Clyde climbed out of the van and followed the guard as he cut a hole in the fence. They climbed through it to see Liam, Max and Jenny.
Yulvs Followed Aaron through the Jungle, in large steps. "A fence? hmm. I think from now on it's property of someone, i think. We can investigate it, maybe. I think we should be carefull, though. no one knows what's out there." Putted the lighter in the left pocket, and continued to follow the air manipulator, even though he didn't know Aaron was one.
Honestly, sobbing into your arm is not the way to solve whatever problems you may have.
Jack slowly pushed himself up, off of the cold cobblestone ground, and stood up. He closed his eyes and hummed to himself for a few seconds, trying to calm himself down.
"Okay... new city, new things... I should try to find someone to help me out." He said, after eventually calming down enough so that he wasn't on the verge of tears anymore.
Thus saying, he walked out into the still thick throng of people and walked along for an indeterminate amount of time, finally happening upon the gate where he and the other group of people had been let in. Using his feeble memory, he tried to remember where the others had gone.
They'd gone to that giant squatting stone building to Jack's left, he was sure of it. So he went there, trying to not shove his way through the assortment of people lining the road. Eventually, he made it to the building. There were cracked marble steps leading up to the large red double doors situated in the middle of the brown expanse of bricks that was the front wall of the building. There were no windows to speak of, and an overhang of cracked marble hung over the door, making it sheltered from the sun's burning rays. Jack entered the building.
((I'm not sure if it was described/what, so I'm waiting for interior description.))
Name: Silvira Segura
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Power(s): she can shapeshift, into anything she has seen in real life or her mind, she can also blend characteristics of varying creatures to create a form with a lot of power.
Weaknesses and Limits: it takes time for her to shift to a form, varying from a few moments for forms she uses often to an hour for a completely new form. She can also become disoriented from the change in senses, and in body shape. She also has to have felt the type of skin she uses in the form(such as having to feel a snake’s scales before being able to use them in her form), otherwise it will be some kind of bodily covering she had felt before. She also is limited by size in what she can change into, she cannot become smaller than a rat or larger than a rhinoceros. She requires energy in the form of food to shapeshift, and must be able to concentrate without interruption to shift, otherwise the form will backfire on her, causing her to get a migraine and possibly even to change her form to something far from what she intended.
Appearance:
Personality: Silvira tends to be a little mistrusting, having lost most of her family to the ETG, then being captured by them herself, she is always afraid of them. However, others with powers she clings to, because they’re like her, and forced to run as well.
History: Silvira was raised far from society, in an attempt by her father to keep her safe from the dreaded ETG. For her mother and brothers had suffered a terrible fate at the hands of the ETG...
When Silvira was a kid, their family- her father, Steven, her mother, Valeria, and her older twin brothers, Miguel and Garen- lived in a small town. On the night of her tenth birthday, they were having a small celebration for her as a family. As they sang happy birthday to her, the door burst open to reveal unwanted guests: ETG soldiers. Synths. Her father grabbed Silvira up in his arms, running from the house as her mother and brothers stood to cover their escape. The last view she had of her brothers and mother was the three of them, her mother standing with her brothers on either side, her mother glowing with electricity and her brothers, one on fire and the other encased in a shimmering armor of ice. Her father carried her far and fast, never resting for more than a few moments. The minutes since they left stretched to hours, and to days. Then to weeks. She knew they would never go back.
Silvira and her father lived together, in a shack far away from any town or city. Silvira had been taught all her father knew about weapons, and she could shoot a gun with fairly good precision. Her father had also taught her how to best use her power, and they ate quite well from Silvira’s hunting. She learned the weaknesses of her power, and the strong points, creating herself templates for quick shifting. Her human form was always the easiest to change to, but she had two others she used often enough to change to with ease: a large cat with otter’s fur and gills, and a falcon. So they lived, quite happily. Until the day the ETG showed back up. It was near the same situation as it had been, eight years before: the ETG breaking down the door with synth soldiers, floodlights filling the house with harsh light, shouting. But this time, there were tranquilizers. She had no time to change, no time to even think about escape. They were caught and tranquilized within seconds. Silvira woke up to find herself in a new hell, of labs and tests and the smell of antiseptic. She hoped, every day after they were finished with testing for the day, that there would be some change, some way to escape. A few tortured months later, they dragged her out of the cage where they were keeping her. Expecting more tests, she struggled enough that they were forced to tranquilize her. When she awoke, it was not to lab equipment but to a change of scenery. They had moved her to a different facility. One that appeared only partially built. She was glad, hopeful that there might be some chance of escape, especially since they didn’t seem inclined to do any tests on her here. So she waited, looking for any chance to escape.
"Actually, I think this is where we're supposed to be!" Aaron claimed, boosting himself with a gust of air. he just barely grazed the barbed wire, his face going pale as he got to the other side. "I see other people!" Aaron yelled over to Yulvtar, running towards the group of people. Suddenly, one guy from the group turned around and had water flowing from his arms, coming out of his body. Weirded out, Aaron backed up and put his hands up. The guy then asked a question. "My name is Aaron, I'm a Gifted. Not a Synth or anything." The guy lowered his guard a bit, but not completely. "I'm here for the 9:00 o'clock mission. I suppose you guys are the group?"
[Clyde]
Clyde was twiddling his thumbs when he heard a person yelling, and running towards them. He quickly had water come out of his body and aimed it at the direction the voice was coming from, his hands splayed outwards when he saw a guy running over to them, yet he seemed as if he was normal. His hands still outstretched, Clyde yelled, "Who are you!" When he replied back, Clyde lowered his hands, but still kept them ready in case he was trying to fool him. "What are you doing here?" Clyde was about to answer "Yea-," when suddenly Netal cut him off.
[Netal]
Netal sat on the ground and was looking around when a person yelled from his left. He turned to the left and saw a guy running, but saw Clyde handling the situation, so he decided to stop. Seeing the person say he was a Gifted, Netal got interested, and when he asked if this was the site of the mission, Netal said, "I guess. I mean, I just allowed myself to be taken away in some mans van, but I suppose this is it."
((Excellent app! Accepted. Ill have to add a rule about no more than 2 people with the same/similar power at once))
Silvira sighed, sitting on the floor of her small cage in the shape of a cat. the cage was made of mesh, too small for her to get through. they know my power too well, she thinks, frustrated. so many tests. she shivered slightly, curling up on the cold metallic floor of her cage. she lays her fluffy tail over her nose, and settles down to try and sleep.
((I'm so sorry, but I can't delete effectively on my phone. So this quote has to be this long.))
((Ryik, I understand photosynthesis, but all it does is create energy in the form of glucose. Jake's body does not have the chloroplasts for photosynthesis. Unless her photosynthesis creates glucose directly in Jake, rebuilding his arm. Ehhh i don't know about that but whatever.))
The people inside the bounds of the ETG fence line. ))
<Liam>
I watch in amazement as six people arrive at the ETG base almost simultaneously, then wince as I see someone cut the fence with wirecutters. Most secure facilities run an electrical charge thru their perimeter fence that sets off an alarm if the charge is interrupted. An ETG base like this would almost certainly have such an alarm. Now that the fence has been cut, I just hope the security systems of the base weren't up and running yet. They were.
<Jake>
To Liam, Max, and Jenny, I say "Cutting the fence tripped the alarm. A guard should be arriving in moments to check for intruders or a false alarm (such as an animal). We need to go."
<Liam>
"How do you know that?"
<Jake>
"It's standard protocol."
<Liam>
"Then we're screwed. So much for a surprise attack."
As I say that, a guard steps forward to the edge of the roof of the base, his figure outlined against the night sky. Before anyone can react, jake teleports behind the guard and pushes him off of the roof.
"Jeezus Jake!"
The guards body lands with a muffled thump. Jake steps off of the roof moments later, landing soundlessly.
(The building is 2-3 stories tall)
"Attack. They know we're here."
