Drew arrived at the gym, looking over at everyone.
"Guys, Garai said to meet him at the library, and we will start to learn some magic. Let's all walk over there, so we can start!" Drew exclaimed, clearly excited about learning magic as he assumed the others would be as well.

Lucian turned to face Drew and nodded, trying his hardest to keep his expression calm. A smile played lightly across his lips and he steps over to Drew and clears his throat. "A year of various classes and now we're here." Lucian laughs faintly and hurries to the library, leaving Drew to take them there. Once arriving he took a seat at a familiar chair and studied the library. "This may be disastrous." Lucian notices Clint at the door and waves him I've.
Clint followed the mysterious man without saying a word. This was strange behavior for Clint. He was normally very social but he didn't know anybody and would probably get more social as he warmed up to people. Clint looked over and saw some other kid wave to him. Clint let out one of those obviously fake smiles with a hint of confusion, as well as a mediocre wave. Clint looked around the library, a bit disappointed because he never really was a bookworm, more of a hands on learner. He hoped this would get exciting fast. As others entered the room, Clint stood in the back, not wanting to take any seats from anybody with seniority.

"Now the task at hand is to make it smaller again," Sam mutters thoughtfully as she follows Drew at a slow pace. It turned out to be significantly harder to make it smaller than it was to make it larger. Finally ending with success, Sam smiles as she books it back onto her belt over her linen clothing. "So, in the library, what is it that we'll be taught?" Sam asks Drew as she moves to go to his side. "Besides the simple answer magic," she adds on knowing how she would respond to the question.
Drew walked along next to her, hands in his pockets. He quickly swept his bangs out of his eyes, and responded.
"I don't really know enough to do more than guess, but to me it would make sense if he showed us some tricks, like this one time he pulled his staff and wand out of mid air. He called it reaching into the duat."
Astrid had to run to catch up with everyone else. As she caught up she saw the girl Sam shrinking a bow into a small keychain. Half consously she reached down into her own pocket and pulled out one of her own. Tapping on the girl on the should she said,"Can you show me how you did that?"

"I'm a terrible teacher, I just kind of held it out and concentrated on wanting it to change," Sam replies encouragingly before turning back to Drew. "That sounds pretty awesome. It'll be cool to be able to do that and more now wont it," she says to nobody in particular as she studies the corridor.
Lucas followed the group again to the library, attempting to whistle a tune as he did but only making odd noise. He never did learn how to whistle. He stopped after a few tries and went back to silently admiring the way the Brooklyn House looked. This place sure is big, He thought, Like some kind of castle.
Lucas chuckled at the thought of this, and imagined Garai dressed like a Knight or a King. His imagination tends to be useful for passing time, like now.
Neima followed the group, walking beside Lucas, as he was the only other one she really knew, and Sam was in a conversation.with someone else. So she gave a smile to Lucas, "Now you might be able to use your dirt magic" she chuckled.

"Elysia had somehow managed to engage the creatures in a mass tournament of Tic Tac Toe. "
A feeling of unwelcome was settling in on Clint, and he wanted no part of that. He figured most of these kids would be very familiar with each other, almost clique-like. Clint was very knowledgeable with cliques, being in one for most of his life. He knew all about the bonds a group of friends would have and how impossible it would be to join. Clint tried not to think a whole lot about it, no sense worrying over something pretty insignificant. For all he knew, Clint would just wait and impress everyone with his awesome skills doing... Whatever it is his parents sent him here for. He got bored standing, so he decided he didn't care anymore and went to sit next to the kid who waved at him. "Sup."

Lucian sat silently for many minutes, pondering what they would most likely be able to learn when suddenly he heard Clint approach and say something to him. He looked up and tilted his head, slightly confused at the sudden conversation thrust upon him, but he shrugged it off quickly and smiled weakly at Clint. "Uh, hello?" Lucian was clearly awkward and stiff when it came to meeting new people, but once again he ignored it to the best of his ability. "Sorry, I don't really have friends, so conversation is a challenge for me, I'm Lucian." He offered his hand to Clint with a bigger, warmer smile and motioned to the seat beside him with the other hand.
Drew and co. arrived at the library where there were sofas and chairs set out for the initiates. The teen decided to go towards a sofa towards the back, because while he was excited to learn, he didn't want to be chosen for a demonstration or the like. Taking a seat on a large sofa, he relaxed and waited for Garai.
Once Lucian and Drew had both arrived, he gestured for them to follow him. He knew that Drew knew what was going on, but Garai guessed that Drew forgot to tell Lucian. Once he stepped outside, he reached into the duat and pulled out a Black staff with a silver trim, along with a silver curved ivory wand. He kept this in one hand and with his other he pulled a wooden staff with red wrappings from the duat.
"Ah, no worries bro." Clint was glad that Lucian talked to him. He was honestly a bit afraid he wouldn't but Clint didn't show it. "So Lucian, huh? Sweet name. So what is this place anyways." It seemed like a dumb question, but Clint said it with his usual careless attitude, which he thought might help him get popular. Maybe popularity wasn't a big thing here, but that never even crossed Clint's mind. Clint looked up as others entered, taking a general note of people who looked interesting.

Lucian looked around as Clint did so and he crossed his arms. "This is the Brooklyn House, known as the Twenty-First nome in the house of life. As of now, we're in the library of the relatively large building. Shortly we'll be holding an introductory class to magic if you're interested." As Garai stepped in, Lucian looked up and studied him, examining the man as he stood. Lucian excused himself and followed Garai into the hallway.
"Magic? Like wizards and stuff?" Clint let out a decent laugh. He was pretty clueless on what was going on but he laughed as though to make Lucian think he knew what he was talking about. Clint secretly hoped Lucian would take it as a joke, but explain anyways, so that he wouldn't seem like a complete idiot. Clint just met the kid and he already felt pressured to impress. It was an odd feeling, probably because Clint was always in the popular group, so he never had to worry about fitting in. But now, all these smart looking people, possibly...magicians. Clint really stood out.
Cameron followed the others to the library. Once he got there, he sort of stood awkwardly off to the side, not quite sure what he should be doing. His hands were stuffed in his pockets, and he was looking around the room. It seemed interesting, but it would probably get more interesting soon. At least, he hoped so.
Drew followed Garai into the hallway as well, trailing Lucian. Once Drew arrived, he saw the black two and a half foot long thin perfect cylinder made of hard wood. It was colored black with a silver trim. Drew loved it at once. Also in his hand for Drew, Garai held a silver wand with black trim. It was curved, made of ivory like all wands. As Garai offered them to Drew, he took them, his staff in one hand and the wand in the other. I must look freaking badass With that happy thought, he turned back to Garai, words finally coming to him.
"Thank you. I don't know what to say."
Garai nodded, showing that he accepted the thanks, and offered the flawless wood staff with the deep red wrappings to Lucian. He hoped Lucian's gift was as well accepted as Drew's. He could never be sure about Lucian's emotions as Drew's.

Lucian studied the staff silently, examining the deep red color that represented his path, as well as the hard maple wood beneath blood red wrappings. "It's...." At first, Lucian was unable to find the words that described his feeling for the staff. "... Beautiful!" He finished before taking the maple wood staff and wand from Garai. "I've never received a gift before, but this is spectacular." Silently Lucian ran off and made it it to his room. On a chair beside his massive bed sat a black bag with red hieroglyphs painted along the sides. He opened it and dropped his Shabti within before taking out a handmade dream catcher that he worked on since arriving to the twenty first nome. Lucian tied the dream catcher to the staff and gripped it firmly in his right hand. He hefted the bag and draped it across his shoulders before jogging back to the library. He sat beside Clint once more with a smile on his face.
As Lucian jogged off, Drew turned back towards Garai, wanting to ask some questions.
"Where did you get these? I don't think you made them." he asked, knowing that Garai's specialty wasn't making magical tools. He waited patiently for an answer, knowing a mannerism of Garai's was that he liked to think and get his thoughts clear before he spoke.
"I know a man that is on our side, following the path of Osiris. He specializes in creating magical tools, and imbued some magic of Osiris into your staff and wand. Normally, you wouldn't be able to use it because of that, but because I know you follow the path of Anubis, Osiris right hand man and son, you can take advantage of it. It won't really do anything, but should help channel your powers a bit. I've seen some of the other's weapons, and they have similar properties." Garai finished. Drew noticed that he didn't elaborate on Lucian's gift, but he didn't want to push.
Drew and Garai walked back in, Drew with his badass new staff and wand on his belt, staff on the right and wand on the left. He went and sat back where he was in the back, wondering why some kids were standing. Garai went straight to the front, and pulled a magic bag out of mid air. Out of the duat, Drew reminded himself. Out of this bag he pulled a lump of wax, some old paper that Drew remembered as papyrus, a stylus and ink for writing, and a ball of twine. "Alright, first off, we will say which god's path we will be following. If you don't know, tell me tommorow or whenever you decide. We will do this alphabetically with first names, since I don't know some of your last names. First up, Clint.

Sam moves to take a seat at a table fingering her key chain abrentmindely. She would be one of the last, if not the last, kid to say ther chosen gods path. Not a big deal considering who she knew her choice. She smiled as she looked at Drew and Lucian's new trinkets, happy for them.
"Guys, Garai said to meet him at the library, and we will start to learn some magic. Let's all walk over there, so we can start!" Drew exclaimed, clearly excited about learning magic as he assumed the others would be as well.
