(AHAHAHA! 200 million on tiny rocks barely the size of Manhatten? God damn boy.
And to be supported in the frigid arctic? The Hell they eating? Whale blubber and rocks? And based on density alone, how it disease alone not killing them off at an amazing rate.
Son, there's hardly that many people living in Siberia alone. And all they do is hunt and herd Caribou. There's no way that many people would be capable of supporting itself let alone possessing the resources and means to purchase the good to feed the population.
It's more probably that perhaps fifty-odd whalers fled from Russia. But not 200,000,000. Those numbers tend to be missed by someone. And those numbers in such a small place and in such harsh climate tend to either emigrate real fast like, or die out within the month.)
((Captain, there's something I might need to add, too. Your islands are too far away from each other. It'll be extremely simple to claim your whole country, and you'll obviously have major issue with trade ships going from your arctic islands, since you'll obviously bump into ships from other countries. They'll most likely try to hijack your ships if possible. And if that doesn't happen, then most of the year you can't send your trade ships to those islands, anyway, since it'll probably be filled with ice.
Just a tip: It'll help if your islands are closer to each other. Otherwise your country's going to crumble after the stronger countries point their weapons at you.))
You, too, Rogue. It's amazing you have no internal issues in a series of countries that are prone to instability and violence and rape and kidnapping and child soldiers and extortion and corruption and whatnot.
((If I knewBbqpizzia's country, like mine is the UAR, and if they made a public statement, the UAR will provide metals and stuff. The UAR doesn't want people acting like they own everything.))
((It's called Republic of South East Asia (partly free republic), or RSEA for short, located south of the EAU and north of the inactive CCP.))

Stentian News The order to mass produce Aircraft was ordered today by Johk, the current Król(Polish). The small but current air force that Stentia has will be enough to maintain contact within the islands. We will also be opening up trade. That is all, signing off. ((This could have been picked up by anyone caring enough to pick this up on a news channel. Otherwise it never aired outside of the Stentian Islands.))
Later that day... [From: Johk@Stentia] [To: [email protected]] Hello. You are the Foreign Affairs minister, I see. I was wondering if we could strike a deal, a trade deal. You see, we are in need of aircraft. I am not sure what you are in need of, but I am sure I could get what you needed.
Wouldn't the Stentians be largely rural, seeing as they inhabit island chains and are only 1,000 of them? I'd say you're a 2 or 1 on the urban-rural scale, and wouldn't be partaking in world events (as your population is less than the one of the village I lived in during the early 2000s.)

(And its army would be roughly hundred folks max. But even then that might be a strain for people living in the Arctic Circle.)

((I doubt they'd have the purchasing power to have much more of an airforce than crop dusters, either, maybe old propellor aircraft or sabres and MiGs.))

Casablanca, Sector 1, Early Morning, UARComm Room
The UAR squads sent out to control the 'riot' of Muslims were quickly overrun, beaten, and killed. The soldiers weren't elite, but they still fought bravely, so the snipers set in place were telling Command. The Director was close to a minor panic. There's the chance the NRO might attack from up North, the Delta project can't be found out by anyways, otherwise the walker would be destroyed the moment people picked it up on their satellites as a super threat or something. "General Suray and Surya, ideas?" The Navy General immediately said, "Call in a VTOL-FA-1, and start firing on them. The Colonel wants to get back in the field, and a riot like that might actually find UARCommand. A MT-1 would be destroyed in minutes should they have RPG's. Plus they have some of our weaponry, what 3 dozen assault rifles? We need to show them that we want to advance Africa into a major power, but that we aren't scared of trying to subdue our own. Send in a FA-1." General Suray nodded his agreement. The Director looked around at the new comms room. Big flatscreen, 2 banks of computers, some other stuff. "Alright. Colonel, fly to that riot and start firing until they disperse. Use the one with the speakers too. Give them a warning that you will shoot should they not stop. Alright?" The Colonel nodded, and said "Sir!"
Casablanca, 10 minutes later, Sector 2
The VTOL-FA-1 flew over the rooftops to where smoke is belching from a UAR armory. A riot in the streets and in a courtyard, more people joining in, and the second they caught sight of me, they just started firing away. Immediately, pings started sounding, echoing off the hull. "DISPERSE IMMEDIATELY." The voice of god came from the underside of the FA-1, where large armored speakers sat instead of rockets and missiles. "DISPERSE IMMEDIATELY, OR YOU WILL BE FIRED UP BY UARF FORCES. REPEAT. DISPERSE IMMEDIATELY, OR YOU WILL BE FIRED UPON BY UARF FORCES. THERE IS NO VERSION OF THIS WHERE YOU WIN. DISPERSE IMMEDIATELY, YOU HAVE 10 SECONDS." The after 10 seconds, only a few people dispersed, and everyone with guns were in the middle of the streets and courtyards, firing away with bad aim. I readied myself, and then flipped a switch. Twin machine guns came out of a compartment in the side, and I changed the rounds to FMJ, and start firing away. The rounds ripped through the crowd, easily parting skin and flesh, and the crowd screams, then a RPG flies out of a window and hits me.((I take it that this page doesn't count as a week? Too much OOC, right?))
Baghdad, Iraq, Holy Islamic Caliphate May 23, 2021
"I think we can unanimously agree that that part of the world is screwed up."
Minister Khalifa sat in his office, confronted by the Head Military Commanders. On his computer monitor played a YouTube video of a Muslim civil rights protest going horribly wrong. The grainy video was muted, but he could still see tracer fire arcing overhead and tear gas seeping across the town center in Casablanca. It was only one of many that had flooded the Internet after the protest, which reportedly ended in a massacre. It had apparently gotten violent, but it seemed that only a handful of people were actually firing weapons in the crowd of protestors, and that some of the nonviolent ones were actually attempting to restrain them. The video ended as a UAR VTOL craft flew into frame, bristling with weaponry and mounting a loudspeaker that shouted for the Muslims to disperse.
After only a few seconds, the craft began firing. Some people managed to get out, but the square was packed with people, and therefore, a traffic jam-like situation ensued. The pilot of the VTOL apparently didn't understand that people needed more than ten seconds to leave, and fired its weaponry. There were over six hundred people in the town square, and almost all of them were ripped apart in a gory festival of blood and meat. Women and children, even: they all died the same. The video was from the point of view of a nearby apartment building, where a group of Muslim vigilantes hid to protect the protest from violent interference. There was some yelling, and the camera shook around as the cameraman turned and barked orders to someone. A man came out of the darkness a moment later clutching an AT-4, and he braced himself against an open window. He shouted for the others to get back, as he toggled the safety and fired with deadly efficiency.
The Head Military Commanders still stared absently at the screen as the next video in the playlist played, of a man trudging through the field the of dismembered bodies and finding his son. Police were on all sides, and as the man tried to pull his son's body out of from others, a policeman shot him dead as well. Another showed the arrests of random Muslims after the attack, viewed from a neighbor's window as a SWAT vehicle busted down the door of a shanty in a Muslim ghetto and pulled out a family of four in handcuffs. There were many videos flooding in as a result of the injustice, and reports were coming in saying firefights had developed on the streets. The videos continued playing as the Minister was shaking violently, and biting his lower lip.
"What's the civil rights situation there?" asked Admiral Mambaso in a shaky voice.
"They... They put Muslims in ghettoes, and don't give them very many rights. No voting, no nothing. It's for their 'protection,'" answered General ibn Dakari slowly.
"So this was just a protest for civil rights?" asked General Salaam.
"Seems so... But I think some Shia crashed the nonviolent rebellion. Why?"
"Maybe they thought their point couldn't be illustrated by a regular old protest," suggested Khalifa. "They did it on purpose to martyr themselves and send a message."
Ibn Dakari frowned in disappointment. Their plan obviously worked, but it had also killed six hundred Muslims. Was it really worth the price of six hundred dead brothers and sisters?
"Now the situation in Morocco is deteriorating as the Muslims are starting to get news of this and head to the streets. Protests are forming in Casablanca, Fès, Tangiers... Everywhere," Khalifa noted.
"So what are we supposed to do? I'm not letting an injustice go unpunished," Mambaso protested.
"I say we talk to the Caliph. He shall guide us."
"Well then, try to get through to him. I can take my forces in Egypt and Somalia and put them on alert," ibn Dakari said.
