The apes started their walk with the mantisects. Other than the mantisects, the idea that the apes will get to see the ocean again - which they have seen in years (or for young ones, never) - is exciting. As they follow the mantisects, all the apes' mouths change.
((#47. The mouth of the apes are now human and shape and don't jut out like a snout, but flat-ish as a human's is.
I will update your population status.))
Character Application Name- Skrit Age- 2 Race- Skaven Gender- male
Personality- Inquisitive and can be often a little skittish.
Appearance- Skrit is a brown and green dappled raptor about one foot long. A series of jagged scars run across his back from when he was bitten by a large predator.
Bio- Skrit was hatched in a small nest hidden in low shrubs. From there he ranged the edge of a pond with the rest of his pack.
Other- Nothing much more to add.
Race Application Name of Race- Skaven
Appearance-(Remember your race is starting off basic, but things like size, color, etc is important.) Skaven are about 1-1.5 feet long. They usually have brownish or green scales. Skaven are Bipedal with their forearms having small claws to help them grasp prey. Their tails makes up more then half their body length and is a great aid in balance.
Starting Population-(Between 2 to 5,000)(How many males and females?) 147 males and 125 females. The population is divided into roughly 10 "packs" of around 20 members each.
Other- Each skaven has a "killing claw" on both feet. They use this to pin small prey like rats. Small size makes it not much use against anything else. They are also very agile to be able to hunt insects. Skaven cannot see directly ahead of them and must bob their heads to gain 360 degree vision.
Diet- Insects and anything roughly the size of a rat. Occasionally a pack will work together to attack animals up to the size of a small dog.
((sweet I was worried I started a little to complex ))
Skrit slinks cautiously through the brush. He saw some great winged lizard thing flying about and couldn't help but investigate. He had to be careful though as his pack would be very angry if they discovered he was exploring alone. He also had to watch for larger predators. All these thoughts were distracted by the sudden appearance of a moth. Skrit instantly froze. He mustn't scare the moth away. The moth flew just close enough and Skrit sprung straight up and snagged the crunchy morsel in his jaws. He shuddered with delight as easily a dozen more moths took to the air after being disturbed by Skrit's hunting. He jumped after them wildly all the while thinking "Today is a good day."

Tynebris isn't quite successful at finding a new cave in the nearby area, so he flies around covering a bigger area. Which means he is also risking of not finding back to the previous cave. Suddenly he spots something hovers in the air observing the creature. (Skrit)
Seeing the apes were following, the mantisects headed towards the ocean. Zaxon hoped so many creatures wouldn't attract any unwanted attention. All the mantisects were edgy, expecting something to attack them at any moment. When one of them stopped, and waved their antenna in the air, the others spun in circles trying to see what she had detected. The mantisect told the others that it had smelled a large concentration of salt nearby. The mantisects doubled their pace, knowing that the ocean was so close.
Engel squirms into the opening to find a nice sized cave, feeling content with his discovery he stretched and debated on whether or not to explore further into the cave but in the end his exhaustion got the better of him and he started dozing off.

I wake up. I must have been tired and fell asleep. But I take another fish and eat it. It fills my belly up and I look around. The little lizard seems to be gone and the clan is moving again so I take some fish and put it on my back. I follow the others away from the clearing, and look around for anything interesting.

In the beginning the universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

Skrit continues happily hunting the moths until all have either flown off or been consumed. He then notices a presence for the first time and glances around quickly. Finding nothing on the ground seems to drive Skrit mad and he frantically looks up. Skirt nearly jumps out of his skin as he dives into a nearby bush. Looking for the giant lizard is fine when it is far above. When it is right on top of him is another matter. Using his claws to aside leaves, Skrit digs in deeply and hopes he isn't noticed.
((There is a brand-new map for everyone to use on the OP and the stages and changes has more things to it (and things are still be added), Scorpi. Anyways, welcome back!))
The ape colony has moved for a long time in this way....which is en masse. Usually only the biggest of creatures attempt to attack, since everything else is too scared to attack such large numbers. Ironically, the apes are not use to fighting whatsoever in either offensive or defensive situations: they are use to running from, hiding from, or screeching at threats. Meanwhile, Anna is amazed at how her colony has forged a new friendship with strange, but friendly creatures that are quite intelligent (the mantisects.) (#48)
(( I thought you were talking to all of us at first when you said new map and OP stuff XD I looked all over the OP then reread ))
A little while later, Engel awoke from his slumber and stretched he decided now would be a good time to explore the rest of his cave so he started heading deeper once he had reached the back wall he determined it was about 21 Engels long (I didn't think he'd be able to use feet as measurement but I thought he should be able to at least count his lengths) although the further back parts were slightly dark he loved his new home and wanted to actually keep this one instead of loosing it like his old cave.
The tranquility of the pond is broken by small chittering calls as Skrit's pack begins to get worried. They search the area high and low coming up with nothing. Eventually they all gather near their nesting site and prepare to send wider ranged search parties.
Meanwhile Skrit still sits cowering in the bushes hoping that the giant flying lizard come no closer. Hearing his pack's calls makes him both nervous and relieved. With his pack nearby he has a chance but at the same time if the giant lizard spots them...

Tynebris watches Skrit dive into a nearby bush. The dragon looks fast around and spots a cave. He remembers the point of the cave and his cave, hoping that he will find the approximate position of the cave again. Afterwards he lands near the bush and looks at it. "This is my hunting ground!" he growls, hoping the creature will understand him.
((Alright, I am going to institute a special timeskip: We will timeskip a couple days, but the characters of Skrit et al (meaning the rest of his race too) and Tynebris will not be affected, it will practically be what is happening between them on this day is actually occurring on the day the timeskip is on.
In a few words: The time between Skrit and Tynebris is "frozen."))
The salty air gets stronger and stronger until...what's that through the trees?...A lake?...No...an ocean! The Apes cheer, with many parenting apes setting aside young adult apes and younger to explain to them that salt water is not drinkable. Anna, being an inquisitive apes, already knew that salt water is undrinkable from asking her parents about the ocean. Now, for the first time in her life, she has seen it. However, it is funny that if she was born a week sooner she might have seen it; since a week before she was born the ape colony directed themselves away from the ocean.
The sight of the ocean takes many apes breath away, regardless of whether or not they've seen it. (#49)
After following the roaming apes for what seemed like an eternity, they caught Roks attention when they suddenly started screaming and running forward. Rok was curious as to what they might've seen, so he rushed forward as well. Soon he found himself with the soothing sight he had been waiting for: A lake where he could return to his usual diet, and perhaps find his family again.
He dived straight into the water, but he quickly realized this water was unlike any he had ever swam in. He went to the surface and looked around: There was no visible shore other than the one he had just jumped off. He then remembered the tales told to gim by some of the oldest otter in the family, about a huge salty lake, sorrunding our world. They said you could get there by following any river downstream for long enough. But he had never been there himself, so he couldn't help but to wonder about the creatures living there. As he swam downwards, he saw many colorful fish, and was about to grab one, when he spotted a large, dark blue creature swimming towards him. He then remembered something else he had heard about the sea: Huge predators.
Panicking, he swam as fast as he could back to land, and as he climbed back onto the sand, he saw a huge group of apes around him. Some had already noticed his precense.
"Perhaps I should've stayed in the water" He thought.
Anna curiously looked at the long, furry creature (Rok) dive into the water and shortly coming back to the surface. Neither her or other apes are aggressive to it; on the contrary, it is very interesting and kind of cute.
((Was the predator a shark or what was it? Oh goody, post #50!))
