I'm actually going to go the exact opposite way this time around. I'm thinking of a race of winged, six-limbed (two arms, four legs), extremely advanced, extremely religious aliens who actually AREN'T overzealous, kill-everyone-else s, for once. They'd be the Big Alien Pacifist empire, converting worlds with impressive displays of technology and religion; and only actually going to war when seriously provoked (meaning that they can't sort out their differences nonviolently).

We did not invent the Algorithm. The Algorithm consistently finds Jesus. The Algorithm killed Jeeves. The Algorithm is banned in China. The Algorithm is from Jersey. The Algorithm constantly finds Jesus. This is not the Algorithm. This is Close.
120-122 may be stable as they are on a predicted island of stability, 17 118 are all highly unstable, with 118 being the most stable discovered by a few microseconds.

It has been since time immemorial that man has looked to the stars in wonder, so I ask you, how can going to them be anything but an extension of a will older than any of us? It is our very nature to discover, and to lust for knowledge, you accept this but doubt the nobility of working to the stars?
@Dwarven: An empire like that would likely be made up of multiple races, which makes for cool history about your guys going down to planets and converting other, more primative aliens and basically accelerating their technological know in exchange for their faith and allegiance.

Actually, Ununseptium 337 is predicted to have a half life of ten quadrillion years. It's an isotope of Ununseptium, aka element 117.
That's three mass invasions within the same bloody month! I mean, seriously! The UDTU is attacking now, Blue has a sleeper attack coming soon, and now an invasion by space pirates? What is this, Russia if every american-made FPS happened at once?! - MagicallyDwarven
Except the prophets have lasers and plasma weaponry down to a far more exact science than you do. And more ships than you do (and probably better ships at that). However, you'd have to kill a lot of them for them to actually go after you. They're more of a 'look mate, stop bothering us and there will be no hard feelings' sort of empire than a 'you accidentally killed one of us?! SLAY THE INFIDELS!' sort of empire.
I'm actually leaning more towards technological worship than anything else, but instead going almost the opposite direction of the Mechanicus ('the direction of the Mechanicus' meaning having creepy rituals, robot-priests and unwilling servants (I am a WH40K nerd and there is nothing you can do about it)).

The religious disease must be contained, even of it means going against impossible odds!
For you see the Urzine empire, just one of the several Uzati empires has dedicated its duties to ensuring that the memetic plagued of religion are contained, for it is our duty as a Uzati to cure the poor, diseased and deluded.
We at first will be merciful, demanding that one renounces their religion, but shall that fail containment procedures will begin and the curing of the sick will be done.
(Amusingly enough, in my own internal universe there is actually a religious empire bigger and more advanced than the urzine).

So far there is 12-13 potential players, and there is a chance for more. Personally I do hope for some more people new to this RP to make some more separatist factions to keep the pace going and because I like my multi-leveled system for RPs since they make things more dynamic and make more magic happen. For instance I wouldn't mind if drone414 back there decided to take the role of a fleet or brigade in someone's empire, a la admiral sternum.

Like this?
Notable Individuals: Current pirate captain Clant'sibruk(pirate captain)
The 'Sicar(pirate council)
And I also added an alloy was wondering it it worked
Foot blades: pretty standard lethal boot-wear with blades of "Irrilium'sat"(Irrilia'vo alloy) that extend out, and are known to gouge weaker metal
'Sicar would be something like Si'car (council of pirates.)
Also, Irrilium'sat would be glowy and pink footwear. But you got the right idea about changing suffixes (for example, killing an animal and eating it would change its name from something'ka to something'ma.)
Bump, and minor update that changes ship size rule, adds a few resources to keep the RP fresh and a new way to attract people; by claiming the RP is intermediate-advanced since that's what sagittarius technically is.

That is true. It's only a theory, but it leaves the possibility that the so called "magical" metals could exist.
I just want to know their properties and limitations so that no ass pulls can be done with them to be honest; and there is always synthesized metals.
Seriously, you'd think they'd invent some new metals in a several hundred years considering how many new materials we invent now. Aerogel doen't grow in rocks for instance.
By the way, Hugs, important technologies invented in the colonisation era would be subatomic disruption weapons, along with Quantum Slipstream drives. They also encountered the Kuv'nos around that time, which resulted in the creation of a no man's land between their two nations. They've been in that tense state ever since they made first contact.

Blasphemy! The frauds of the universe marching down on our door step?!
Someone get the guns, it's prophet season.
Precisely.

Actually, screw tech-worship. Proper religion it is.
Remember, the bigger the empire the generally less stable it is. Pretty sure your empire has its heretics to contend with, right?
The CBPF (Brazilian Centre for Physics Research)'s 2004 study on Ununseptium, ISSN 0029-3865. CITED!
However, it DOES still need to be tested. They used models, not experiments.
oZode: Yes, but they're not too much of a problem. Yet.
Yeah.

Also keen, ouch. Did you use an offline doc or did you make it in the text box the forum gives?
Mainly since document programs nowadays usually have some form of auto-back up, it could be hidden somewhere.
