Name: Qaursi, Known across the galaxy more commonly as the Swarm.
[Optional Pic/doodle, you still need to explain physiology however.] http://images1.pcgam...x abilities.jpg Imagine that as a base of what a single Swarmer might look like, except take away the wings, and reduce the size.
Biology/Physiology:
The physiology of the Qaursi is different depending on what strain of the Qaursi you are dealing with, but several facts stay true across the board. They have two hearts, and an enhanced circulatory system. This allows them to move and take as much punishment as some. Their muscles are also augmented, allowing for longer stretching and generally more stretch and use. Their stomach is larger then most, and they produce a race specific acid, that allows them to dissolve food fast. All Qaursi are born with antennae that allow them to communicate with their brood lords. Almost all Qaursi are born with an aversion to light, as they are nighttime hunters. They will go blind in light if staying in it long enough.
Evolution Specific physiology:
Tifling: Known as a Swarmer in human terminology it is the cannon fodder and general worker of the Qaursi, they are born smaller then most, with enlarged claws and a sharper defining jaw line. The Swarmer is useless alone, but deadly in packs or in swarms. With numbers they can quickly overrun a position and move on, leaving a trail of destruction in their waste. Back at the Hive their claws also serve as cutting tools, and in race occasions some can cut through stone.
Espain: Known as a Spitter in human terminology it is larger then a Tifling, with smaller claws and a larger jaw, with floppy mouth muscles. The defining feature of a spitter is that their stomach and throat works different in such a way that they can throw up their stomach acids and combining it with chemicals in their mouth to create a potent ranged attack. However due to the constant spitting and traveling of the acid through their system their skin and overall muscular structure has been weakened, leaving them as the first to be picked off in a fight. As a worker they typically wear down stone or metal structures with their acid.
Known as a digger in Human terminological it is born different then the Espain or Tifling and is a different strain of the Qaursi entirely that evolved differently in the caves of their home planet. They are slender, worm like almost. They aren't typically used in combat but have been used in sieges before. They are typically used as workers at home, digging out the ground for burrows or nests.
Known as Queens or Nest Lords they are strictly a nesting strain, some never seeing the daylight, living underground in the nests and burrows. They drive the growth and birthing of Qaursi, founding web and slime filled nests. The caves that that the Homsian use to nest and birth in are typically covered in slime, to aid birthing and movement of Qaursi in general.
Acendsi: Known as leapers in human terminology they are larger then swarmers, with wings sprouting out of their backs. Via enlarged and strengthened leg muscles they have the ability to leap and fly short distances. They are almost entirely used on the fields of combat, and are born into war. They serve nearly no purpose outside of warfare, and are killed at birth unless on a warring planet.
Nameless: Known as Bio transports in human terminology, they have no word in the Qaursi tongue. They are massive space faring ships, allowing the Swarm to travel between planets. Very rarely will multiple queens give birth to several worms, that will then evolve together, forming a symbiotic relationship in what can only be described as nature's final evolution. The massive hybrid can breathe in space due to a parasitic worm on the lungs, as well as the stomach is hollow and inflated, allowing several queens and swarm lings to nestle inside. Natural gases allow it to move through space and land on planets. As the different species evolve and grow a hardened shell is formed, taking up more space as it is fed and fed. It takes several years for one to grow to full size, and the birth and creation of one is rare. They have very few defenses, and are not fighters, simply transports. In time of defense that have been known to spit massive globs of acid, but that is mostly just to scare off the attackers.
Spasion: Known as Latchers in Human terminology, They are born and bred inside bio transports, and launched out only in time of threat. Via several holes that open and close on the outside of the bio transport they fly out, having the same parasite on their lungs that allow the bio transport to breathe through space. They also propel themselves via natural gases. They are born with claws and are of slender build, digging into the side of space fearing ships, trying to depressurize the ship itself. http://images2.wikia...g_SC2_Rend1.jpg
Language: Due to the structure and build of the Qaursi jaw they communicate via either scents antennae messages and sounds of clicking. Queens, typically release scents via their anal hole, causing some Qaursi to go into a battle frenzy or retreat, depending on the breed. All Brood Leaders are born with Antennae and can communicate messages directly to specific troops, giving specific orders if needed. Their language is mostly spoken between individual troops.
Society: Swarmers themselves are typically lowest on the social food chain, only getting the scraps left over. Spitters are next, followed by Acensdi. Worms feed themselves, while queens save their own food. The brood lord of that specific brood begins the meal. Food is hunted and then ate raw, as the Qaursi's improved digestive tract can take the raw food. Blood is also nutrition for them.
Breeding is done between a queen and a breed of another brood, as inbreeding is frowned upon and any inbreeders will be killed on act. Once in a cycle two broods will meet, and mate, the only chance that some of the men will get to breed. All queens are female, while worms and Bio transports are undetermined. Everything else is male by default.
The Qaursi are relentless and vicious having only one goal, survive. They will constantly exhaust the resources on their current planet, and simply move to the next one, having no regard for life in any form. The weak are killed, and the strong survive. The social system is broken into Broods, with each brood having a brood lord that runs the entire brood. The brood is typically covered in natural webbing and slime, aiding the breeding conditions for the queens. Beneath the surface of each brood is a series of tunnels dug by Diggers.
Each queen can give birth multiple times, and will have hundreds of babies in their life time. On rare occasion a new queen will be born, a freak in the genetic cycle of life. This is what allows the Qaursi to live on. On the Qaursi home world, now decimated and a husk of it's former self after being taken over by the swarm, is home to one of the most important Qaursi structures. The Hive. The hive is a combination of natural energy emitting from the core of the planet, and broods evolving together. It is a legendary breeding ground, where strains such as the digger and spitter were born. Many turn to the hive for the next step in their people's history.
The Qaursi lack the intelligence needed to make tools or harvest ore, but they make up it for it in pure strength and numbers. Most only follow the brood lords or the queens, yet a few have broken free of the tight grip of oppression. A few brood lords and Queens have shown enough intelligence to speak English among other space faring languages. And communicate with the other beings that way.

That's three mass invasions within the same bloody month! I mean, seriously! The UDTU is attacking now, Blue has a sleeper attack coming soon, and now an invasion by space pirates? What is this, Russia if every american-made FPS happened at once?! - MagicallyDwarven
I put that in so I can at least reason with other races, But if it doesn't make sense I'll edit it out.

Seriously people, stop trying to get around things like the language barrier. It's the source of half the silly, unrealistic stuff that happened last time. It's the reason Bluemaus made his alien race adopt English, which was incredibly unrealistic and just plain silly. Just RP through it. Make a story-arc where your people study the languages and eventually start to understand them. Or just look for other plausible ways to interact wth alien races, but stop trying to get around it in silly ways >.>
The language barrier is going to be the major reason i end up in a horrifically destructive war for first contact that nearly wipes me out.
Also does anyone want to be the invaders?

Time to update the ol' rpg test. The ones I get the most are Tactician, Cleric, and Paladin
How hard is it to make some tools or harvest ore when ya got natural cutters and worms who can get the ore?
The point is, is that most of the swarm is just ordered around, and they aren't built with the hands needed to hold spears. Becides, why create a pointed spike when you have claws that work better?

The thing about wings, is that I plan on making a strain involving wings. As having the base mutation have wings would be Crazy OP. Think about it, They would simply jump over walls. However the base strain does have good jumping ability.
EDIT: Also Cheesy, if you are making a background, would it be okay if you've encounter d my race before? As in all colonization ships and transports in my region of space have been lost contact with?
The problem with that is the Earth government would be very unwilling to let such slide. They would've had fleets bombarding that area of space like there was no tomorrow once they got there, if they found the culprits. There is an idea I had, though. Your app says that your race kills entire planets with a total disregard to life, but that the follow an "only the strong survive philosophy. What if the two nations/races/empires came into conflict, which ended in a stalemate? As in, the ((I've decided on UTNT(United Technocratic Nations of Terra))) UTNT and your aliens went to war, which came to the point where neither race was making any gains. Perhaps, at that point, the UTNT had proven themselves to be sufficiently strong, and perhaps they could've reached a mutual agreement or become allies ((The short war could be a way that your species learned English, if they managed to extract information form people or the computers of ships, they'd learn dozens of Earth languages)). Some incentives could be, from the UTNT's viewpoint: We'll help you find food and when you go to war with other races if you help us in war, and we'll help you transport your people more quickly with quantum slipstream drives if you let us study you, etc.
'United Technocratic Nations of Terra' sounds really silly, and this is what I was fearing when you said you were making them a Technocracy. A united Earth/humanity is very unlikely to base its world government and overall way of life around technology, especially not to the point they start calling themselves the united "Technocratic Nations". I can definitively see a united Earth with a government that has very high interests in the developtment of technology, and hell, even one that elects scientists and whatnot, but when you over do it it suddenly stops being believable and becomes silly.
Nonetheless, would you mind mentioning any significant events that would have happened on Earth at around the time colonizing planets was at it's peak?
Yeah, too much technocracy can lead to really bad things like eugenics, a very serious case of scientific elitism and/or allying with the terrifying world devouring bug race and what not.... Unless that was the point or something. However I just don't see why you'd want to give the race that threatened humanity's existence just a month ago technology that enables them to spread faster.
Also, for anyone interested in making aliens that will satisfy my weird alien-aliens OCD thing here's some things to look at:
-----
For those who are too lazy or just don't have the time to read/watch through the sources, here's what i'll say:
-While I can't say the aliens won't be bipedal, the overall design of the alien is bound to be different from a human since while convergent evolution yadda yadda, the path it takes to get to the that point is very long winded and the conditions of the planet will heavily influence the design of the alien.
-Alternatives to bipeds can be hexapods or something with the body design of a centaur/hexapod, on higher (or even lower gravity worlds, these centaur/hexapod designs may work better.
-They don't necessarily have to be warm blooded due to the possibility of the planet's climate not being radical enough to make it hard to be a reptile.
-Aliens [even just considering the smart/relatable ones] to be honest, can be anything from a biped like us to a god damn organic sailboat thing [go to the nataloid chapter in the great grandpa's book that inspired what inspired the works that inspired stuff like halo, star maker to know what i'm talking about] or even weirder.
My planet is barely united, we are like modern Earth but with a far more powerful UN that regulates things.
Zode: Biology/Physiology: The Uresh appear in the form of six limbed creatures that with the back four legs acting as a means of transportation and the front two having evolved seven appendages with four joints on each front appendage. The Uresh stand four feet tall with an oval like body armoured with bone like plates. The Uresh are omnivorous creatures.

I was merely using that as an example. I'm not saying whatever my nation ends up being called ((Considering what Hugs said, a form of meritocracy might be best, though I will state I'm not a fan of demcoratic space based nations(As of late), or really anything purely capitalist or communist. Republics, even, are meh to me.)) would give them slipstream drives, but rather that my nation would help transport them to warzones during times of war, if they became allies, which the only way I could see happening would a stalemate happening between the two where they have to offer each other something to calm each other down before they try to kill each other again, not necessarily an alliance. Unless Whiteblade can think of a way for his race to warm up to me and not murder me, one side will try to wipe the other out (If all those ships became lost).

It seems like it would be very shaky at best, and why let them spread and possibly even gain the power to break the stalemate into their favor?
The way I see it is, just because a peace treaty is signed doesn't mean it is now all good; throughout history those treaties are constantly broken and nothing lasts forever; especially when you are trying to have a ceasefire for a empire hellbent on consuming everything in its path! (I can't tell if they know that or not though, but I am sure that they would at least be a little cautious dealing with them).

One day, there will be someone who looks at my signature and wonders "who gives a damn?"
Alright, I'm thinking of having the Stif'ka secretly uplifted via some race who abducted and educated people, making Rah'ils (wise men) who wandered and taught what they knew. For example, a Rah'il invented electricity for them, and another Rah'il reconstructed a purposely crashed spaceship and became the first Stif'ka in space.

Again, I was just using that as an example to get the point across that each side is going to have to do radical things to reach peace, as what Whitblade suggested (My ships in that region of space being lost) would result in massive retaliation from my nation. They wouldn't say "Oh, our ships were lost, let's just back off... On the contrary, they'd be in that region with the full force of their navy, blasting the out of whatever attacked them.
