A sort of feeling of contentment had appeared from the past couple weeks, I no longer feel the need to be back in my cave, I have, I suppose, adapted to the environment and world. I don't think I even want to go back at all now. Sure, we're usually in constant threat of being killed, especially in those cave expeditions we go on, but it's still a much better life than what I had before. I mean, before I got here, I escaped from a captive who forced me to battle and beat me when I lost, would something like that happen here? Even if it could, see this freaking iron sword I've got? That's right, try it, I dare you. But still, aside from my newfound complacency, Meschever doesn't exactly seem to be sharing my attitude to this world. In fact, I'm pretty sure he hates it here.

I despise this place. From the world's warped sense of reality and physics, from the monsters that explode or shoot you in the face with arrows, and from the fact that there is no escape. Maybe I've turned bitter and pessimistic, maybe we'll leave this place the same way we entered it, but there doesn't seem to be any 'exit' sign anywhere. The way out may as well be buried beneath 20 feet of concrete, because I sure as hell can't find it.
((Bah, I have more to write, but I can't right now.))
As Jormungand buzzed around scavenging, No.29 was down in the mineshaft, leaving the morning sun to go to waste. He didn't care. He loved being underground, tunneling; Odd, for a flying-type, sure, but then, he was a rock-type too, at least after his ressurection. He Knew the underground. It was part of him, somehow, and he liked it that way.
He swung his pickaxe once again, and it struck- Nothing. Thin air. That broke his chain of thought. Cavern! Caverncaverncaverncavern, I've found a cavern... He peeked through the hole he had made. Light shone through. Odd. Lava cavern? He swung the tool again, making the hole bigger. More light shone through, but it flickered and came from more than one place. "Torchlight," said the Archeops to himself, puzzled. He didn't talk much to anyone else, but he didn't mind. "Thats weird..." He hopped-fluttered into the cavern.
Something moved. No.29 looked around, but it had vanished around a corner. "Weirder," he said aloud.
He made a mistake, then. The mistake that started it all.
"Look, I know you're not happy with being here, but there isn't exactly anything I can do about it. It's not like any of us chose to be randomly teleported here" I walked down into our mineshaft with Meschever at my side, his discontentment obvious and shining through his expressionless gaze.
"Do not anguish over thine disgruntlement, I am thankful I am still breathing, yet not where I'm breathing at"
"This may very well be our home for the rest of our lives..."
"I am not willing to capitulate with that, not yet" I sighed at his response.

Down here, you could somewhat say that both of us were in our element. We grew up in caves, and lived in them. They were normal to us, and Sableye and Mawile are both graced with being able to see better in the dark than most. Sableye more than Mawile though, our gem eyes help with that. Although the mineshaft was littered with torches, for the ones not as adept in seeing in the dark. Oh, right, and the monsters like to randomly appear in dark places, don't they? How utterly convenient, and completely world bending. This world was impossible. Yet they still happened. I miss the world where physics actually worked correctly. Ah physics, who would have thought I'd miss you so much. I hauled the pickaxe and placed it over my shoulder, more work on the mineshaft we've got today. Find more minerals to make tools. Although, I was really just looking for more of those blue stones that we had found a couple of. We couldn't find any real use for them, so I kind of... ate it. A Sableye's diet usually consisted of jewels and stones, they're nutritional and good for us. Any other food, like pork, while we can eat them, isn't the healthiest thing for our digestive system. But these stones tasted good, as in, really good. But they're not exactly abundant, and they could prove to make some kind of extremely useful item, but damnit I was hungry.
We had both made our way to the end of the mineshaft, where a fairly large hole had been made into a cavern, which had light inside it.
Jormungand looked out at the sky. The sun had cleared the horizon; any remains would have vanished by now. It didn't matter much, though. The base was still well stocked. With a small shrug, he buzzed through the trees to the river, still aware for creepers, or for any other movement. He need not have worried. The plain and light woods by the river were totally empty of both animals and monsters. A bit odd... But probably not important. Sometimes animals appeared, and sometimes not.
The earth dragon looked over the river. They hadn't explored much there, on the redwood forest side, yet. Their own bank was fruitful enough. But still, it was a place of curiousity for him. With a lack of anyplace better to go exploring, he buzzed over, promising himself he wouldn't stay long. Still alert for motion, he flew into the trees.

No.29 started to lose track of time as he followed the torches. The cavern was long, and there was no ore around for landmarks. Another thing out of place. It was like the caves the Pokeminers themselves had explored and looted. Maybe there's another colony of Pokemon here..? He thought, but absentmindedly, his mind on the trek. Slowly, slowly, the cave system was leading upwards, but still deep enough for occasional lava springs. He had the feeling that once he reached the end, he would find something signifigant. Maybe very signifigant.

I raised a proverbial eyebrow at the hole with the light through it. Eh, somebody probably just found a cavern and placed torches everywhere. Might as well go in and see if they missed any minerals. I motioned Clairvoyance to follow him. This would be an easy day, monsters weren't a problem here, torches were everywhere, and I probably won't have to do much digging. Sounds like a good day to me. Maybe things are looking up for me. No comment was really necessary, we both walked through the already lit cavern, scanning the wholes for anything missed.

Sunlight was visible from somewhere ahead, and No.29 knew he was nearing the end of the tunnel. He would have liked to stay below ground; but at that moment, his curiousity overpowered the earge to go back down. Not after I´ve come this far, he thought. ¨Not going back yet.¨
The trail of torches stopped as No.29 emerged out of the cavern entrance, and his eyes widened slightly. Snow. White snow covered every inch of ground for miles around, and was still falling. A grey-white wolf scurried over the cold plain. He could see very few trees, and the were tall and bristly, like the ones on the other side of the river. A small structure was visible about half a league away, but apart from that and the sparse trees, nothing rose more than a few metres above ground level.
A sound of feet came from the tunnel. Somepokemon was coming. ¨Hello..?" He asked weakly down the tunnel. He felt oddly empty now that he was above ground again.

[Well, looks like this will be life or death for me...]
Kaze breathed in the cool cavern air. He set down another torch, illuminating the small room around him. A small groan echoed through against the stone halls, but Kaze ignored it. Examining the cave, he spotted a patch of Iron in the wall, and trotted toward it. As the pick cracked against the ore, he heard the groan again, closer this time. Frowning, he turned toward where he entered the room and saw the outline of a zombie. It didn't seem to have noticed him yet, though, so Kaze continued mining, careful to try to quite his pick. He collected his reward and turned to find the zombie looking him in the eye. Kaze unleashed a Shadow Ball, knocking it back, and charged at it, slamming it with Bite. The zombie stumbled back, tripping over some stones. Kaze took this chance to leap over it and sprint back down the tunnel. After a few minutes, he slowed and caught his breath, taking stock of his inventory. He had a good bit of Iron and Coal, along with his pickaxe and some pork and steak. He nodded absently, satisfied with his loot. As he continued back following the torches, he spotted a soft red glow out of the corner of his eye. Approaching it, he found a small cluster of Redstone. He hefted his pick and shattered the surrounding rock with a hollow crack. Extracting the Redstone, he continued back, finding a small landmark he had made note of: a caved in mineshaft. He made a mental note to check it at a later time. He frowned. There seemed to be a large shortage of creatures in the tunnels. While this might be nice, it could also mean that they're clustering in another section of the caves. Kaze shrugged it off for now and continued on. After a couple of minutes he caught sight of daylight spilling in from the entrance. Squinting in the light, he felt the grass crunch under his feet as he exited the mine. When his eyes had adjusted, he walked a short way off toward his small house. As he walked toward it, Kaze admired the scenery, the mountains in the distance and the river just next to him. Walking into his house, he stored his goods into his chest, double checking his finds. Once he was sure everything was accounted for, he set to cooking up a little meal, with some steak and a piece of bread. As he waited, he glanced outside and saw something walk behind a hill. He shrugged, figuring it was a sheep or something. As he ate his meal, though he felt eyes gazing at him, but when he turned to the window, there was nothing there. He shook his head. It was broad daylight. Who could be watching him?
((Angelic, not accepted.))
((Draconinja... Umm. Yes. Well, I don´t quite want to delay further... So you could introduce yoself now, or skip all that and RP like you´ve already been introduced.))
((Lyoko... Um. Iḿ a bit confused. So, Kaze is where right now? I meant the structure in my previous post to be something else.))
Jormungand kept flying through the forest, knowing that he would have to leave soon. Very soon. With a sigh, he turned round. No bounty from this expedition, then. Pity.
A little abruptly, the sky began to darken. Not nightfall yet... But it was definitely starting to become darker. Rain. A storm. That was it. Quickly as possible, he flew back to where he had come from. That was where had had come from, wasn´t it? The tree on the outcrop... He flew straight up for a better look.
BOOM.
Electricity never affected Ground-types, and he wasn´t expecting it to. Not usually. But this worlds lightning had to be different, because for the first time he felt the true pain elecrification could bring.
With a small shriek he fell back to earth, and impacted with a crunch, miniturising more than a small amount of dirt. He got up to a crawl, and looked around, searching for nothing in particular, senses dazed. ¨Iḿ no weakling,¨ he hissed at nothing. ¨You´ll need to be harder than that to finish me off...¨
Sunlight appeared up at the end of the cavern, with somepokemon's silhouette amongst it. We both heard it call out 'hello' weakly, which sounded like the nervous voice of No.29. Beside me, Meschever called out "Feathered Serpent! Be that you?" We both emerged from the cavern, to see the snowy white landscape. It was pretty, and it was more world to explore. "Hey 29, nice place you found." One thing I had always wondered was 29's name, I didn't really know much about the shy Archeops, and I wondered how someone would get the name 'No.29'. I'd ask later.
"Yeah... Nice place. Serpent. Right." Muttered No.29, clearly trying to sink into the white, frosty ground and not be noticed. "Just found a tunnel... Kinda... Followed it. And then I came out here. Wonder who put those torches there..." He looked around at the snow again. The sight of it falling from the sky was completely new to him. The only times he had seen snow before were when there were fights between ice-types back in the Area. "I... Should we, keep on exploring here? Or go back..? Sandstorm usually does the exploring for me..." Come to think of it, he hadn´t seen Sandstorm in a while now.
Silver hasn't been at the camp long, he hasn't talked to the others much. He was in a cave currently. It was odd. He found a spot where water was coming down from the ceiling. The water was touching some black rock. He placed a piece of stone between where the lava met the shadow-colored rock. He stared in awe as the water touched the lava making more of the rock. He began hitting it with his pick, using psychic to hold the pick of course. It was taking a while. When the block finally broke no shrunk block came. He remembered when he tried to mine the iron with a wood pick, it didn't work, but a stone one did. "A pick better than Iron? Does that exist?" He asked himself.
No.29 gave a small start at the appearance of Wraith. Maybe not so small. How many had followed him here, through the caverns? "Erm... Hi, Wraith. I see you found... I mean, the cave with torches... Weird. Isn´t it..?" He said nervously, still wondering exactly what would happen now. He was sure there was something just to the west-He had seen it, hadn´t he? Was he imagining things? So many new things...
* * *
Sandstorm nearly screamed at the flashing sky, blasting the zombie in front of him with Sonicboom, tail flicking through the air in violent motions. Its corpse turned quickly into white smoke. He knew his sanity had started to slip again, as it had sometimes before, but subconciously. All he could think was: I will survive, world! I will! Iĺl survive if its the last bloody thing I ever do!, and Kill you all, vermin! Kill you all!.
Something padded towards him in the darkness, four feet almost silent of the wet ground. Sandstorms´ memory was blank for a few seconds. The next thing he saw was a small pile of gunpowder at his feet. But he let the black substance go to waste. Survival. Survival, by any means necessary... He buzzed a howl at nothing.
((Sandstorm will be missing for a while, for plot purposes.))
