"Hah, go figure. I've got myself a good luck ring I made for someone who never showed. I brought it because I thought Sir Grandtree's trip was today. Bloody insomnia." He grunted, but he showed her his hand. "It isn't my best work, but it's still fairly nice. I good show you around the shop, if you'd like."

"That is what I said." he said, downing his own glass and tossing it backwards, hearing the satisfying shatter of ten gold pieces. "Bad habit." he explained "Change of plans though. We have a large trip, let's be slow. I am always so hasty, never proves useful. Have fun in the short run, but never long term. No kissing, in fact." he began chuckling to himself to lighten the mood. "You do need to lighten up though. I really am a good guy, honest, but I am too impulsive. Fire in my blood. This trip, all one big impulse. I am rich, set for life, no need for the money. Just did it, and here I stand with a gorgeous and intelligent doctor." Now he was looking at the sky. "It's fated. I am just a very lucky man I suppose. Now, stand back. You get too close and I may just steal a peck like I said I would." he said, making a dramatic effort in standing away from her, but always within arms length.
He raised an eyebrow. "Yeah," He replied. "Apparently he needs someone to check if everything is real. I don't need the money, clearly, but life is boring." He laughed, and leaned back on the chair.
"Well, I guess we have one thing in common."

"I see... and... Same here... I just keep enough for me to eat... Don't need much else." She said, although it was a lie. The first thing she did after getting payed was usually go buy some kind of trinket for herself. "Mind if I look at your invitation?" She asked, wanting to see if his had anything written on the back like hers.
Lily laughed, listening to everything he had to say. not including his looks and money, he still had a really great personality. She looked behind her, seeing a maid already running to the mess Scott had made. That looked like a lot fun... she thinks, gulping the few last bits of her wine. She still walked close to him. She just wanted to feel his lips, just once before they set sail.
They walked a while in silence, which Scott finally broke. "Smash it, you know you want to. Ten gold pieces, smash them all," he said, loving to see glass shatter. He walked beside her still, but remained resolute to keep his distance, admiring from afar. With such a beauty so soon, surely the cook and navigator would be as well. Sadly he knew the jeweler was a man, but men were necessary for a crew so he didn't mind terribly.
Lily smiled, throwing it behind her in the same fashion he did. There was a moments silence, and then the sound of glass hitting ground. It gave her a bit of a thrill. "Its been good fun, smashing glass and drinking, but I really think I should go. Have to get supply's and stuff..." she mumbled the last part, hoping that he understood.
"Of course. 20 days at sea, tropics, crew of around 25 men, no more," he said, recalling the facts for her without emotion. He lead her to the door and opened it, but before she left he sighed. "Fine," he said, giving her a quick kiss. Her lips tasted sterile, nothing to them. He liked it, he liked her. This trip held a lot of promise already. He reached in his pockets an pulled out a bill that was worth 100 gold coins. Very few existed, and were only given out by the king himself. On them was his signature and many symbols and such for authentication. He had three of them, all given to him personally by the king himself, who was a good friend of his. "Ought to cover it," he murmured, closing the door.
"Bye..." she said, licking her lips. She liked her new boss. At first she didn't know what he had gave her, but with closer inspection, turned out to be a note for 100 gold. Wha- Wow... he must trust me or something. How does he know I just won't run away with his money? Of course I'm not, but still...

(( Wait... I didn't see Neils character's name on that list when I first checked... That's my bad, sorry... > . < and, just to keep this from being spam...))
Sasha told the man she would be right back. She walked up to the bartender, and bought them both a new drink each. She plopped the new drinks down on the table with a large thud, and grinned. "I love it here. I get drinks 2 for one." She then sat back down to resume her conversation.
(( Just checked. Neil's character is Joseph. He's not on your list, Grandtree. o 3 o
"On the back of the invitation he included his home address for these characters; Lily, Ulrich, William, Sasha. They were instructed to each come see him at different times of the day, each arrival three hours between the next and starting at noon with Lily, then at 3:00 with Ulrich, then at 6:00 with William, then at 9:00 with Sasha."))
((Hah, sorry for almost offending you Grandtree. The word "decent" is, colloquially, a stronger word where I'm from. Probably an overuse of sarcasm idk.))
Ludwig was striding down the street with a spring in his step. The trip was two days away and already he felt like he could spar with the entire world. He knew exactly where he was going; to get blind drunk. He walked into the tavern he often visited after a shift and walked up to the barman whom he had befriended a few years ago. "Johnson, a tankard of ale, if you please!" Ludwig shouted, slamming a piece of silver onto the bar "Tonight is a night to celebrate!". Ludwig took his large mug of ale and sat at a table nearby, taking out the invitation and reading through it again.
((If anyone in the tavern would like to RP I'll participate, otherwise I'll wait for the timelapse to the next day and wake up in a gutter or something :smile.gif:.))

((Yeah, I wasn't on the list. :tongue.gif: That was... Ironic, Grandtree. 'You have all had a moment of failure.' Pshaw. Just teasing you. No big deal.))
"Ah, yeah. This place is pretty nice that way. Always pretty generous." He laughed. "Ah, yeah. My note is right here." He replied, pulling it out of his pocket and putting it on the table. He continued;
"I usually just get the expensive spiked coffee. I'm not one to like beer."
Suddenly, a man sat at the table they were at. He was clearly here to get drunk and party, but one thing shook Joseph.
"What is that paper in your hand?" He asked calmly, but somewhat confused. To be quite honest, he wouldn't expect someone like this to be invited.

[I thought he was William... In my defense it was late and I was making it from, quite possibly, the slowest iTouch in the world. Wow, we have a lot of characters here...]

Scott had sobered up considerably after a nice nap and plenty of coffee. "So Freddy, who is next eh?" he asked.
"Madam Kasheyev sir..." Fredrick sighed.
"Oh really. Sounds exotic," he said, leaning back in his chair. "You seen her yet?"
"No, but I am sure the men you hired picked only the cream of the crop," Fredrick replied. He did not hate his job, and Scott was a fair master and always kept things interesting. He just never saw his life leading here, being a man's servant.
"Yea, that's what they got payed for. What good is an adventure without beautiful women eh Fred?" Scott said, closing his eyes and imagining an olive skinned beauty. Black hair, brown eyes, sculpted thighs. Fredrick did not reply, he just sighed a bit and moved out of the room. Always such a kill joy... Scott thought to himself. Now he was on an island with the woman. Laying on the sand, pressing her close as the waves sprinkled water over their bodies. Misting them, cooling them from the hot hot sun.

"Seems cheap. I unt real meals, tha works. Dessert and such. Steak and wine. I mean real real **** man. Now, I got the money, don't try to think I will cheap out on ya. I wants a uh... a real number ya know. What is this whole thang gonna cost me?" he slurred.

Laughing at the drunk man's forwardness, Ulrich leaned forward, placing elbows on knees, and chin on one hand.
"Well, seeing as you're intent on giving me a fair bounty, I will be honest with you. To hire men will be around 2000 gold. Supplies themselves will cost around 2000 or 2500 gold, depending on the length of the trip. To be safe, I will estimate," Ulrich thought for a while, knowing that the man, in his intoxicated state, will more than likely agree to anything within reason, "The total cost will be around 7000 gold pieces."
"7000 and you better make damned good food." he said, extending his hand. He knew exactly how important high morale was at sea, and good hot meals were the best way he had found to keep his crew happy.
"You will not be disappointed, Scott Grandtree." Ulrich said, standing up and shaking Grandtree's hand, "By the way, what winery is the wine from? What year, as well."

Sasha smiled at the man, and took his envelope. She flipped it over, and saw no address or time on it. 'Interesting...' SHe thought to herself, and handed it back. "Ah, sorry. I'll be sure to get you that next time, then." Sasha looked up at the clock. It was 8:47. Just as the new man sat down, she pulled out her envelope, checked the time, and stood up. "Ah, sorry. I have somewhere to be... See you in a couple of days!" She giggled a bit, and left the tavern. "Ah, hope I don't end up late..." She muttered, walking quickly through the streets. Finally, she got to the large mansion, and looked up, in awe. "Oh, wow! Didn't think a guy searching for treasure would be this rich!" She said, laughing a bit to herself. She looked up at a clock tower in the distance. "Eight fifty-eight... Perfect." As Sasha approached the door, the admired the building, and the gardens around it. ((Most mansions have gardens out front... right? xD)) After a minute of spacing out, she took hold of the large, golden door knocker, and hit it against the door three times. She then waited, looking around, continuing to admire the landscaping.
