Trixie does a sigh at that. "Not now...maybe later. I've got...things to do right now. Not involving you...but later." she smirks. This slug certainly likes her, for whatever reason.
The words 'maybe later' was all the confirmation Sluggy needed, and was about as close to getting lucky he'd ever been with a lady. He looks off into the distance, fantasizing about all things he would do to Trixie later.
Ezmond isn't a darn bit happy about being captive in all that unhealthy sounding rusty light. But that ain't no real big issue, because just as the dark figure dude starts his weird-butt noises again, the rusty ol light surrounding Ezmond goes away. But it doesn't just go away either! The aura breaks away like it's been turned into actual rusty metal and shatters into tiny pieces all over the gosh darn place. When all these shards of rusty metal hit the ground, Ezmond gives a good swing of his arm at the dark guy, and this causes all them thousands of really sharp shards to lift up off the ground and fly like bullets at the dark figure, hitting him all over his body! And you better believe that that's not all of it, because each and every one of these thousands of little shards are hot enough to cause a Sperm Whale to combust!
While all this is happening, A whole bunch of animal noise can now be heard coming from somewhere in the mansion! Elephants and cows and chickens and rhinoceros', and even ducks can be heard hollering out!
((@Darthrafae: Thanks for throwing out that hint there, but apparently it wasn't gosh darn SUBTLE ENOUGH! HAHAHA!))
Aaaaanyway! Just to make sure the job is actually done right this time round, three more needles shoot Fin in the butt! So let's just make a note of the super obvious fact that all that toxin in his body isn't really going anywhere at this very moment in time. So while Fin is lying all splayed out on the roof and whatnot, maybe he can find time in his busy schedule to pass out already! UNLESS HE HAS SOMETHING BETTER TO DO AT THE MOMENT!
Oh yeah! While Fin is getting another a dose of these needles, Arin gets a few more needles shot at him from behind as well, just to make everyone gosh darn clear and brightly certain about what's meant to actually happen next!
Please feel free to pass out in the best way that you see fit! XD Good times!
Fin felt more pain from the back end of his body, crying out slightly as he felt more toxin fill his body. Groaning in pain, he remembered a long time ago when he felt as much pain as this. A LONG long time ago...
*Flashback* Fin was walking down a path in his village, hurrying back home before night fell. In his hands was a basket of apples he had picked from orchard not far away, hopeful that his mother wouldn't punish him for being out so late- *CHOMP* "Gah!" Fin fell to his knees and saw attached to his leg a snake! The venom was quickly spreading, pain filling his body. The apples he had were scattered everywhere, his efforts all ruined. He feebly tried to reach for the snake to pull it off, but before he could, he fell to his side, the last noise he heard being that of running footsteps coming towards him... *End Flashback*
With that memory in mind, Fin fell off into a deep sleep...

Maras seems rather... annoyed by the lack of effect throwing Boris at the figure has, when something catches his attention. Maras looks up as the clouds fade away, revealing a night sky full of bright but foreign stars, stars never seen before in the night sky. Then, he spots the creature from earlier. It swoops down to ground level, and flies right over the group, targeting one of the cloaked figures, seemingly with the goal of catching the figure in it's mouth, which is big enough to swallow a man whole.
"Well, that creature seems to be on our side. You guys go inside, I've got business to take care of out here." Maras says, pointing at the front door leading to the foyer, while drawing a sword and approaching the nearest figure.
The capillary formations within the transparent compound on Annie’s body continue to branch out and multiply, becoming an intricate vein-like network over her skin. Soon the clarity of the words on her stomach become lost in their webbing. In addition, the area of compound covering her eyes is starting to change texture to that of a brown crust-like substance, while brown strains of the capillary lines begin to grow from her nostrils and ears.
A Colossal creature swoops down from the heavens with intent to snatch one dark figure, while Maras approaches another with sword drawn, and Ezmond launches his own attack upon yet a third. This combined attack, however, happens to coincide with the climax of the rapid succession of sharp sound given off by the dark figures –
All at once, the ten dark figures release a charge of energy, depicting that of many currents of electricity that connects all ten figures, while simultaneously discharging across the ground and into the air like an explosion of purple lightning. This immense explosion of energy strikes everything within ten meters of each figure, be that merely an instant before the colossal beast makes contact, but also the instant directly after Ezmond made contact with his own attack.
As a result, the creature from the heavens, Maras and Ezmond, are all blanketed in the power of this powerful charge of energy. All three of them, for an instant in time, are rendered inert. In the following instant the burst of energy has ended. The colossal creature is repulsed and sent spiraling up towards the heavens. Maras is propelled backward at an alarming rate and impacts the wall of a stone building some twenty meters away. Ezmond is also sent back, crashing through the door he had once been blocking and into the mansion, where he proceeds to tumble onward for quite some distance.
There is then a second void of any activity, but that one second of calm is shattered when every floor within the mansion bursts into flames and hundreds of black raven materialize, flocking down the corridors and into each room in search of Annie. These ravens’ eyes are ablaze with red fire, as too are their beaks and talons, ready to attack any individual that manages to stand in their way.
Nevertheless, while the floors of the mansion are burning wildly and the Ravens go about their hunt, the one Dark Figure that Ezmond managed to strike before receiving his own fate, also succumbs to flames. Their person is engulfed in fire for several second while they release a tortured scream like that of dog being wounded. The flames, however, do not last, soon they are doused by an intense wind that encircles the figure like a tornado, but the garments of the figure have already been turned to ash, leaving exposed the figures true form. Unwilling or possibly unable to be seen for what it truly is, the figure flees from the mansion, departing with haste to conceal themselves in the darker shadows of night.
Revel just lets Ei drag his human form around, thinking that it's all very entertaining.
"Well duh, Ei, I'm aware of what's going on." He says with his face pressed against the glass. "It kind of goes hand in hand with being omnipresent. Why did you think I was offering to help?"
Back in his seat, he turns himself back around and smiles for Lyudmila. "Told you she loves me."
Revel then grabs the hand of the arm Ei sent out as it is retreating, and gives it a gentlemanly kiss. "The pleasure's mine, my lady. And do let me know if you actually want some help. Not that I'd want to spoil all your fun." He takes another bite of his turkey leg, then mumbles under his breath to Lyudmila;
"How was it not obvious I was offering to help so she could take a bit of time to have dinner with us? She must be a real headache to live with." He shrugs. "Oh well, I guess if she doesn't want me to help then I won't. I can take a hint."
As he holds up the bottle and offers Lyudmila another drop of the wine, the animal sounds not-so-coincidentally start up from somewhere else in the mansion. "Maybe one more sip of this and we will find ourselves in the mood to join the fun those two are having. I've always liked the circus."
Lyudmila sighs, and takes another sip of the wine.
"I don't think we'll have a lot of time to finish our dinner in peace."

Upstairs, in the Attic, Ei is staring out into the distance when the figures release the charge of energy, and she grins.
"They're here. I hope you're all ready and hungry, for it is time to feast."
Maras quickly recovers from his impact, but takes the time to smash a hole in the wall next to him before he charges towards another of the figures and throws a trident at it. The creature too turns around, and dives straight down, it's shape constantly changing, making it near impossible to fire an accurate attack at it. And as the figure flees towards the shadows, something emerges from the shadows and lands on him, pinning him to the ground. A large creature, taller than a human, vaguely resembling a hybrid between a fish, a frog and a man, it has a long tail and webbed, flipper-like feet and sharp claws. More of these creatures emerge from the shadows surrounding the mansion, and proceed to charge towards the figures, some running only on their hind legs, while others move about on all fours, agile enough to dodge incoming attacks while they close the distance between them and the figures to get within range to rip them apart with their claws and sharp teeth.
Inside the mansion halls, the ravens have trouble navigating, as the twisted hallways ensure the stairs are hard to find. To make matters worse, they're not alone. Out of the walls and ceiling emerge shadowy claws that reach out to grab the ravens and smash them against walls, ceilings and floors, while water pours out of the holes in the walls, soon dousing the flames and filling the corridors with enough water to reach up to one's knees. Strangely enough, the upper floors have this too, creating waterfalls down the staircases. Out of the water emerge more of the strange creatures, who chase after the ravens to try and devour them, jumping from walls to increase their momentum as they chase down any ravens they find.
Back in the attic, Ei curiously watches the change the substance covering Annie is undergoing as several other Eis, each with green skin, finish barricading every possible entrance with far more furniture than was originally found in the attic, having somehow taken furniture from other places in the mansion. Once the entrances have been barricaded, they give Ei a thumbs up, and melt into puddles of water.
Jack kneels down, sliding his arm under Silas's before standing, lifting him to his feet. "How'd you get here? Did Maras lead you here as well, or did you wander here on your own or something? And..." Jack looks around the room again, unnerved by the staring eyes. "What's with this place? Did my sanity decide to call it a day, or can you see it too?"
"I don't know how I got here... One moment I was falling asleep while Miss Ghost Girl was stealing my will, the next I wake up in the lap of Claus with no explanation whatsoever..." he announces, dejected. "And now I have a headache... What about this place?" He then asks, clearly confused.

Combat and shenanigans initiated. Horrible, terrible, wonderful things are happening!!
Just when Chisille was about to fall asleep, she suddenly felt a lot warmer... Then the warmth rose to uncomfortable levels around her. She quickly opened her eyes and saw that the floor that she was lying down on had suddenly burst into flames! She knew she couldn't have done this since she doesn't breathe fire in her sleep. It wasn't nearly as flesh-searingly painful to her as it would be to any other mortal being thanks to being who she was, but it was still quite painful to her as the intense heat worked it's way through her scales and into her flesh below.
The worst part about the whole lying on a burning floor thing... her bucket of cookies was burning away! As soon as she had stood up, she snatched the bucket with her jaws and suddenly leapt up onto the dining table. This move had caused a large amount of cutlery and food to go scattering about the table and onto the floor, knocking over drinking glasses, smashing plates on the ground and all that sorts of chaos.
She neatly set her bucket down in the middle of it all.
With a large amount of loud hissing the flames surrounding the room had been extinguished by water pouring into the room from the same cracks where she had seen the eyes appear. Another good reason that she had abandoned her position on the floor was that the water didn't stop until it was at her shoulder height. There was no way she would've been happy with wading around in it all like that.
"Sorry bout mess." she mutters to Lyudmila and Revel as the mess slowly grinds to a halt. "Don't think I'll get sleep tonight... Not first time..." she sighed sadly to herself, resting her her on top of the bucket. Lyudmila has an opportunity to get at the cookies again... though there is a sharp set of dragon teeth awfully close to the prize.

A scattered dream that's like a far-off memory... a far-off memory that's like a scattered dream. Hey, Renard... can we line the pieces up? Yours and mine? Please... why have you given up?
Wha... whose voice was that? How do you know my name?
Renard's eyes flickered harshly at the intense outset of sunlight he was faced with upon his awakening. He soon realised that this wasn't the mansion-- but some sort of desolate landscape. The large open field he had awakened in was surrounded by unending, rocky badlands. Only brown could be seen for miles, though Renard would not know this due to the copious amount of fog around him. He breathes a sigh of exasperation as he looks at himself. Still him, black cape and all.
Renard slowly stood up and looked around warily. The first thing he noticed was the few swords around him planted firmly into the ground. In fact, after further inspection, he realised that the entire field was covered with swords. This immediately instilled a sense of familiarity in Renard. Without thinking, he knew that this was a graveyard. It was the aftermath of a war waged in this place, permanently scarring it and leaving it in the state that Renard had stumbled upon. He wondered to himself why this place was important to his heart.
Something odd catches Renard's eye as he glances around curiously. A lone sword stood detached from the rest, in front of the entire field of swords as if it were being defiant, and with it, a figure. The sword in particular was quite familiar to Renard somehow-- it was unique in that it looked to be mostly mechanical, and it had looked familiar due to the fact that parts of it in some way had oddly matched some of the designs from his own memory.
The figure stood behind the sword, both their hands laid on the top of its hilt as if awaiting a challenger. They were hooded in some sort of golden coat, with a silver zipper that fastened at the top and zipped down to seal the coat. Renard stared at the person, unsure if they were staring back. Strangely, they looked to be flickering in and out of existence, as he could see the landscape behind him appearing and disappearing. Renard, having had enough, keeps his gaze focused on the figure and begins to walk towards them. The whispers of the dead resounds in his ears more loudly with every step he takes, and yet he continues on, his only motivator being curiosity at this point.
In what looks to be a reaction to the chaos occurring within the mansion, Renard's physical form, still sleeping soundly in a chair, begins to emanate a brilliant light which almost blinds everyone in the Foyer. This continues for a half minute, before dimming into nothingness.
Renard appears to be completely covered in a golden-coloured coat, strangely, with his face obscured by the hood of the coat. His position seems to be unchanged, though his halberd and sword are missing, and he looks to be quite shorter than before.

Bob was staggering from wall to wall through constantly changing hallways when the fires started. By time the flames had been doused by the water, the pants of the long john style evening wear had already been burnt clear. The pants were now shorts. I suspect the ravens just left him alone since he is probably least of all threats in the house. Also, when the water came rushing through the hallway, he was swept off his feet and floated rather calmly on his back, gently moving his feet as if he was still walking, around the bend in the hallway and into the basement cellar. There he bobbed peacefully among the wine racks and crates, still kicking his legs as if walking while gazing empty eyed at the stone ceiling.
Buttons was up on the dining table purring and gnawing his grilled fish when the commotion broke out, so he pretty much just ignored it at first. But then as the water doused flames he started to feel a burning sensation at the end of his tail. Unfortunately, he had his tail hanging over the edge of the table the whole time, and now the tip of the tail had been singed of all fur exposing the skin of the pointed end. He takes a break from eating to lift his tail and give it a look over. He isn't impressed, but he isn't really upset either.
"Figures..." he says, and continues eating his fish.
Revel sighs when the fire breaks out, the windows explode and the ravens appear. The fire doesn't hurt him, of course, he just waves his hand around to ensure the flames are kept at bay around Mila, while the other hand brandished a comically sized fly swatter to wack the ravens away like annoying flies at a picnic.
"Seems summer came all at once, but they did say we were in for a real scorcher this year." When the waters surge in through the dining room he just nods his approval to Ei's ever watchful eyes. "Thanks for the refreshment. Let me know if you want me to join in the fun and games. But you know..." he shrugs; "I'm quite content to watch all the same."
Sluggy, still on Trixie's shoulder, becomes petrified by both the flames and the appearance of Raven's. He was bigger than your average slug and would have possibly been seen as a tasty meal, that is if the flames didn't get him first. empowered by fear induced adrenaline, he moved at un-slug like speed and using his body like a sprint, lunging himself at Trixie's ear hole. Since he was a bigger than average slug, there was no way he was going to make it through, but that didn't stop him trying, writhing on her earlobe and hammering his head to try and force himself inside, while scream at the top of his lungs:
"Please, Trixie, let me inside! Please, just let me inside, for the love of God - I need to get inside you!"
Boris, wanting nothing more than to protect his good friend Jack when the flames appear and the door burst in on the lobby, quickly swoops Jack off his feet, forsaking his own safety, and cradles Jack in his arms like an infant.
"Don't you worry, Mr. Jack, Boris save you."
When the water floods in, he looks around with a pleased yet deeply concerned frown, and released Jack again, but he didn't really have any words to express the confusion he was feeling for the situation.
Boris wasn't facing Renard when the bright light flashed through the foyer, so he wasn't sure where it came from, and therefor didn't notice the golden attire Renard was now wearing either. Feeling angered and frustrated by his own lack of understanding for the whole situation, he punches a raven very hard as it flies by and starts swinging at any more within striking range.
"I don't know how I got here... One moment I was falling asleep while Miss Ghost Girl was stealing my will, the next I wake up in the lap of Claus with no explanation whatsoever..." he announces, dejected. "And now I have a headache... What about this place?" He then asks, clearly confused.
Jack briefly glances at Silas before looking back around the room again. "Er... well, the walls and such... how they're pulsating, the cracks, the staring eyes... I'm not the only one seeing all of that, am I?"
Boris thanks Jack with heavy nod of his head, and takes his eyes to admire his bone again.
"Enchanted Draaaaagon bone...." He says in a voice of wonderment. "Revel Yell.... that's its name." He glares back up at Jack, a curious tweak in one eye. "My weapon has a name too, Jack. And Boris thinks you might be right about what you say. That name Revel sure does ring a bell for Boris." He turns up his eyes to think dreamily about what Jack had told him. "Boris has an admirer...."
After dreamily considering just what all this might mean, he takes his attention back to Jack again, and gives a quick look to Trixie as well. "Maybe Boris and you guys too should go find us some of that food."
"Sure seems you do, Boris. And finding some food... I could go for that. Haven't eaten since you found us that stash this morning, after all." Jack puts his helmet back on, looking at Silas. "You hungry by any chance, old man?" He paused for a moment, glancing back at Trixie. "How about you, Trixie? I know you weren't interested in resting, but perhaps eating can be your first way of testing your, eh, 'new form'."
Trixie had let Buttons go, but she told him to be careful while going around this place.
Trixie ignored the other people for now, paying attention to Jack and Boris. "Revel....revel....He was the one to made Trixie human for insulting him." she remarks. "Who are these other people?" she asks Jack and Boris.
Jack indicates to Silas, answering, "This old man is Silas. He was one of the people who came to investigate the church explosion yesterday. Or, at least, he was part of that group at the time." Jack looks over at Renard, still sleeping in his chair. "Not sure who the sleeper is. Looks kinda familiar, though."
Unwilling or possibly unable to be seen for what it truly is, the figure flees from the mansion, departing with haste to conceal themselves in the darker shadows of night.

"Don't you worry, Mr. Jack, Boris save you."
As the ravens soar through the rooms of the mansion and the flames burst forth from the floor, Jack moves to grab his sword and shield, but before he can reach them he is suddenly picked up by Boris, who was insistent on saving him. As a result of both moving to defend himself and being picked up, he is no longer supporting Silas, who will have to maintain standing on his own now. "Er... thank you Boris, but I can-"
In what looks to be a reaction to the chaos occurring within the mansion, Renard's physical form, still sleeping soundly in a chair, begins to emanate a brilliant light which almost blinds everyone in the Foyer. This continues for a half minute, before dimming into nothingness.
Renard appears to be completely covered in a golden-coloured coat, strangely, with his face obscured by the hood of the coat. His position seems to be unchanged, though his halberd and sword are missing, and he looks to be quite shorter than before.
Jack cuts himself off as the light fills the foyer, looking around as he tries to discern its source, his eyes shaded from the intensity by the nature of his helmet's ocularium; the light fades away as Jack's eyes land on Renard, taking in his change in appearance. Or at least, as much of his new appearance that he can see from his current position.
While looking at Renard, Jack's helmet slips off and lands on the floor with a loud clang due to the angle his head is at.
Jack was glad to have been released by Boris- and thus able to act of his own volition again- but he was less happy about landing in the water after being let go. He sits up, shaking his head to clear the loose water out of his now-wet hair, and quickly grabs his helmet before it floats off among the currents into another room and he ends up losing it. He decides against putting it back on, however, opting to carry it as he stands up again, water dripping from his clothes and armor. Wading through the knee-deep water and closer to Renard, he takes a better look at his new appearance before turning back to Boris, Trixie, and Silas.
"Well, we're not getting anything done by standing here. Let's go find that food. There'll probably be others there, and if not, well, there's still going to be food waiting for us." He draws his shield, blocking any stray ravens that haven't been caught by the shadow-claws as he makes his way through the mansion in an attempt to reach the kitchen, dining hall, or whatever other room might've had something to eat in it.

((we're gonna have to continue without Jay's Arin, because it looks like he is preoccupied with stuff. I will go ahead and include him in this once he posts again.
And here's a description of the little men so you know what they look like during this post: They are very fuzzy and their fur is typically green in color with brown stripes. They have two legs, two arms and hands with apposable thumbs and pointy little nails on each of their four fingers. They are skinny, but their fur makes em look tubby, and they stand about two foot in height. They have little stubby round ears, a black button nose, little yellow beady eyes and a wide mouth filled with thousands of tiny sharp teeth like needles. They also have a very long thin blue tongue for lapping stuff up.))
Fin wakes up in a room hang'n upside down by his feet from the ceiling with his hands tied behind his back, and his fingers are all bound as well to prevent him from reaching into any posckets to grab stuff. He's feeling a little bit groggy and it takes a little bit for his eyes to focus on whats going on. Apparently he's been dragged into some cobblestone basement. The room is all lit up by a bunch of little fires scattered around on the floor, and all around the outside area of the basement there are crates and boxes and stuff all broken open with the their contents all sprawled out on the floor as well. Any food, even the rotten stuff that was found in the crates had been devoured already, which can obviously be seen by all the left overs and crumbs on the floor as well. The place is stinky and smells a lot like rotting meat and vegetable mixed with a really gosh darn pungent odor of what is probably pee. Fin can also see one of his billiard balls laying on the floor as well.
Anyway! Beside one of the fires in front of him, Fin can see one of the little fuzzy men just staring at him as if he is waiting for something. It is really obviously as day that he knows Fin is now awake, but he still looks like he is expecting something from Fin, and the way his beady little eyes are gaping at him, the matter on his mind must have been very important! But when he doesn't get an immediate response from his unspoken inquiry, he shakes his angry fist at Fin and starts yell'n at him, saying something like 'Eskecoombelaka!' and jumps up and down on the spot a few times, like some spoiled little brat who didn't get his own way or something.
The next thing is, since Fin's head is dangling about eye level with the little fella, it makes it very easy for the little man to walk on up and give Fin's cheek a few good pokes with his stubby little finger. And that's exactly what he does! But he keeps on poking Fins cheeks quite hard while at the same time repeating a word over and over again. The word the little fella is now saying, even tough Fin doesn't understand the language, sounds a whole like it might be a question, and you can be sure it's a question he is gosh darn intent on getting an answer to!
Gosh damn it all to heck - that had to hurt!!
When Ezmond stops tumbling all across the floor and all that fire starts lap'n all around, followed up by all that water, he get on up to his feet and realizes one thing: These dark hoodie guys are stronger than he first thought. But that didn't matter a hoodeling gosh darn heck at all to Ezmond, because up until now he'd kinda been holding back anyway! In any case, as the water flow starts rushing on out of the open door and into the streets of Waise, Ezmond hold up both hands like some gosh darn traffic cop making a double stop signal. When he does that, all the doors and all the windows in the whole gosh darn mansion are sealed by pig pink force field to keep them nasty hoodies out! But it also stops all that water from flowing out on the street, which is purely a circumstantial thing and doesn't matter a great deal to anything!
On top of all that and to help them arms with the job of grabbing all them nasty ravens out a the air, Ezmond casts another spell that causes hundreds of Amazon Goliath Birdeater spiders to appear. These EXTRA big Goliath Birdeater's are hairy and about three foot in length. They also have wings like bats and start flying all through the mansion and attacking all the ravens they can find!
Just then Ezmond also takes note of all the animal noises coming from somewhere in the mansion. He's not happy about the way that sounds at all - No sire, not one little bit! So he goes on ahead and starts wading through the water in search of where his darling little Betty is!

Renard neared closer and closer to the hooded figure, though nowhere near them yet. His eyes were still fixated on the sword the figure was resting their hands on. The more he looked at it, the more he got confused by its design. It was silver-coloured, mostly mechanical, but Renard could make out a few moving parts inside the sword itself. He also realises oddly that the sword was not as unusually tall as he thought it was, and instead that it looked that way since the mysterious figure was almost child-like in appearance because of their height, though he would have to get closer to make any conclusions. Eventually, Renard stops thinking about this and gets distracted by the voices presumably coming from the exorbitant amount of swords lying planted in the ground around him, due to the fact that they were starting to get louder and therefore clearer.
His engineering skills will be of great use to our organisation.
Brags to be 'the greatest engineer in all the lands', but his skills as a runewright...!
This little runt? He's the chosen one? You gonna just pick some runaway?
Your sister was a sacrifice for the greater good.
This was all predestined.
I'll protect them, even if it kills me! If you can't even understand that, I'll do the job myself!
He's running off to face an army by himself. You shouldn't have angered him.
Let the boy go. Everything is falling into place. Faux will fulfil his role.
Those words were not directed at Renard, though it almost sounded like it was, nor were they spoken from the same person. Renard ascertains that each line had been said at a different point of time in the past, by a different person. He briefly racks his brain-- the name Faux was extremely familiar to him, though his almost-8-year memory gap made it impossible to remember.
His mind begins to wander off to another topic, and he begins to wonder what was happening currently in the mansion. He hopes to himself that he hadn't somehow been stabbed in his sleep and that this wasn't some sort of afterlife. Renard thinks about that for a second-- maybe it was best if that had happened. No one would miss him, or so he thought. His mind wanders off again and his gaze once again focuses on the figure in the distance with the golden coat, still seemingly flickering in and out of existence with no explanation. Their attire and sword were all too familiar; if only he could remember.
Renard's body's in danger... but the restoration process can't be interrupted. I have to take over, for his sake.
"What a nap," says 'Renard', yawning serenely as he awakens almost waist-deep in water, no thanks to being considerably shorter. His voice sounds much higher than normal, like that of a child. "Huh...? What's with all this water..."
His sentence trails off as he slowly glances up at a large spider flying past him, and he recoils backwards into the wall behind him.
"F-f-f-f--"
It doesn't take long for a high-pitched scream to resound throughout the room.
Trixie did a loud sigh. "No, thats...just not going to happen." she said in a rather displeased tone. She grabbed the slug and put him back on her shoulder. Then she turned to jack.
Jack briefly glances at Silas before looking back around the room again. "Er... well, the walls and such... how they're pulsating, the cracks, the staring eyes... I'm not the only one seeing all of that, am I?"
Trixie looks at the walls, noticing this. "No your not the only one...this is..odd." she stated. Trixie shrugged. "No...not really. Not right now, but thanks for the info." she raised an eyebrow at his wetness, wondering where the water came from.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Apparently this is what some of my friends think of me here:
…As depicted in the aforementioned assault by Jack with the use of the large man, Boris, brute force has little to no impact upon these dark figures. Therefore, the Hybrids assault also proves in vain; the dark figures remain undisturbed. Neither do they seem inclined to act with haste in any variety of retaliation, they… do not care, having but one thing on their agenda. Annie.
With that said, the sole dark figure that had in fact been, at least in part, damaged by Ezmond’s spell, is alike the other nine unaffected by the hybrids assault. Remaining upright in the darkness, it rather appears to be more inclined to hide its true form than it is to harm the hybrid. However, with one swift movement it has lifted the hybrid and cast it aside as though no more than a mere annoyance, granting the figure ample time to now steal into the night and becomes one with the shadows. It can no longer be found.
Instead of an actual defensive attack against the Hybrids, the oncoming colossal creature from the heavens, and Maras, the nine remaining figures begin to shift as they stand, phasing in and out of existence. Each time their presence phases out, it reappears in another random location nearby and effectively drawing them ever closer to the mansion.
As their erratic approach to the house continues, the pink force fields that suddenly barricades the doors and windows seem to spark a reaction from the figures. The brief glimpses of their cloaks are now seen to be shedding a white glow, like that of the mist that is shed from dry ice. So too are their actual cloaks fading in color, becoming lighter in shade with each random appearance they make. Soon the figures stop randomly jumping from location to location, as they are seen to have altogether transformed from solid matter to that of a thin mist that is attracted to the force fields like dust being sucked into a vacuum. By such as this method they now enter the house….
The nine figures enter in nine different locations throughout the mansion, where at each location their mist-like textures quickly revert to their previous dark forms. The Foyer and Dining Room are two of these locations, the seven other locations are not at the moment occupied by any of the other visitors that have recently entered the mansion.
Boris’ deliberate strike at the bird provokes a hostile reaction. Several of the nearby Ravens converge upon the large man in a wild flurry, stabbing and lashing at his flesh with a heavy barrage of red hot beaks and talons.
While these events are unfolding, the intricate brown and black capillary webbing that was growing within the compound that envelops Annie, has now progressed to an amassed formation, completely hiding her body from view.
Furthermore, although the shadowy claws and flying arachnids manages to eliminate many of the hundreds of Ravens that appeared, yet not without a vicious contest from the raven’s, and although the twisted hallways have made the journey a difficult task, it would seem that Ei can now hear the flutter of wings outside the barricaded entrance to the attic. The one raven that had managed to make it this far, can smell the child within. The order are now aware of Annie’s specific location.
Fin looked groggily at the little furry person, because anything that was asking a question had to at least be slightly sentient. Ignoring the pain, he tried to think on what it was asking. He didn't know the- *OW* -Language, but he was- *OW* -Pretty sure that it may have- *OW* -been some form of- *OW* -Elvish.
Clearing his throat, he tried to give an answer to the little furry person. "Excuse me, but do you happen to speak the King's English? I don't know your language."
The nine figures enter in nine different locations throughout the mansion, where at each location their mist-like textures quickly revert to their previous dark forms. The Foyer and Dining Room are two of these locations, the seven other locations are not at the moment occupied by any of the other visitors that have recently entered the mansion.
When the dark figure phased in through the walls and window of the mansion and rematerialized in it's usual form, this drew Chisille's tired attention towards them. She snapped awake upon realizing who they were. "Revel, Lidmia, we've company." she warns. Chisille shifted her hefty form about until she was staring straight at them, her tail curling off the edge of the table due to the lack of proper room.
'Have they come back for me? They're going to ask me to do something I'm sure. Well I don't want to, not after the way they forced me to go along with them and all that. If they try to make me do things again... I'll... I'll resist. That's what I'm going to do.' she thought to herself while waiting for the figure's reaction to their presence, along with the other's reaction to him. Her tail tightened around the edge of the table and her claws fidgeted in anticipation.

"Alright, alright..." says 'Renard', backed up into a corner. A splotch of vomit can be seen slowly mixing into the water in front of him. "You snakes may have gotten to me for a second... but no longer! You won't have your way!"
He takes a deep breath, and extends his right arm into the air in front of him. A few fleeting moments pass as he closes his eyes. Suddenly, without warning, he closes his fist and an ear-deafening thunderous sound fills the room.
His eyes open again to see the familiar sight of a large, silver, mostly mechanical sword planted into the ground in front of him. The few moving parts inside the sword seem to be unaffected by the water.
"Wait... that's the spot I vomited in...!"
'Renard' grits his teeth and quickly grips the sword firmly, pulling it out of the ground.
"You snakes are gonna pay for maintenance... you and your owner! Now you will be exterminated off the face of the earth by the one true Truth!"
He quickly shifts his glance back up at the air, only to realise that the snakes had now disappeared into some other part of the mansion.
"Oh, geez, they're gone... now what am I supposed to do? Maybe I'm overextending a little... I'm only supposed to protect Ren until the restoration process is over... Oh, man, oh man..."
As he thinks about what to do, he suddenly notices a person out of the corner of his eye being harassed by ravens. He grips his sword tightly, holding on to some sort of gear shift attached to the hilt.
"Alright," he says, having come to some sort of decision. "Duty calls!"
'Renard' hops on to his chair, which now was floating in the water, leaping off it onto the wall. Grabbing the wall for a split second, he 'revs' up his sword, causing a flammable propellant to spray across the sword, making the blade appear searing red. Using the wall as a launching point, he jets off, his sword leaving a fiery trail through the air as he spins through it towards Boris. He stops spinning as soon as he reaches the person, though he makes several impossible movements as he passes Boris, slicing, spinning and slashing through the entire group of ravens without losing any momentum, fast enough to leave afterimages.
Despite all this, he lands face-first in the ground.

Her tail tightened around the edge of the table and her claws fidgeted in anticipation.
"Thanks for the heads up." Revel replies to Chisille, but his attention was already focused on the tall dark stranger in their midst and, for the very first time since Revel and Lyudmila had known each other, she actually sees Revel with the serious expression of a dark and irritated glare. He clenches his hands to fists, but leaves them rested on the table on either side of his plate, as the dining room floor starts to vibrate like a massive locomotive was passing by just outside. Then his voice comes out in the oddly calm parting of his lips, every letter of his words as loud and grating as a grinder cutting through metal:
"You weren't invited to this party."
As he finishes his sentence, the dark figure starts to change. His cloak begins steam as the material its made from starts to bubble and churn like the surface of boiling tar. Then as the figure begins to melt to the floor, the remaining ravens and flying spiders in the dining room lose control of their will, suddenly changing trajectory and fly into the melting mass, vanishing as if they were retreating into the mouth of a cave.
Once the remains of the dark figure had settled in a black puddle of goo on the floor, Revel turns his face back to Lyudmila, relaxed and casually smiling.
"Alright, alright..." says 'Renard', backed up into a corner. A splotch of vomit can be seen slowly mixing into the water in front of him. "You snakes may have gotten to me for a second... but no longer! You won't have your way!"

He stops spinning as soon as he reaches the person, though he makes several impossible movements as he passes Boris, slicing, spinning and slashing through the entire group of ravens without losing any momentum, fast enough to leave afterimages.
Despite all this, he lands face-first in the ground.
Boris is overwhelmed by the flurry of Ravens that suddenly attack him from what feels like everywhere, pecking a clawing at him with hot beaks and claws. During the commotion he throws his fists around to try and fight them off, knocking a few away, but then decides to grab Revel Yell form his back to help him. As he taking the weapon into both hands about to start swinging, the vaguely familiar sleeping man from the corner is suddenly moving in with a blur of motion, striking down the remainder of the birds before crashing face first in the water on the floor.
A little baffled by the speed of everything that took place, Boris looks down at the man and just kinda shrugs as he returns the bone to his back. He looks at Jack, with a questionable expression.
"He sure is a silly man."
In so saying, Boris steps up to the silly man, grabbing him by the rear of his attire with one strong hand and lifts him back up to his feet. He gives the man a heavy pat on the shoulder.
"Boris thanks you for your help, Mr."
Boris is unfortunately injured. Cuts and burn marks have been left on areas of his face and arms, though he doesn't really show that he's bothered by any pain.
It was only then that Boris saw the dark figure standing in the foyer a little further away. He recognized the figure as the one he saw outside the church earlier, and he was suddenly overcome with anger as he takes his bone from his back again. "Mr. Jack," he says seriously; "That very, very bad man has come back!"
Jack briefly glances at Silas before looking back around the room again. "Er... well, the walls and such... how they're pulsating, the cracks, the staring eyes... I'm not the only one seeing all of that, am I?"
Jack indicates to Silas, answering, "This old man is Silas. He was one of the people who came to investigate the church explosion yesterday. Or, at least, he was part of that group at the time." Jack looks over at Renard, still sleeping in his chair. "Not sure who the sleeper is. Looks kinda familiar, though."
"Er... thank you Boris, but I can-"
Silas looks around the room they were in. "...oh," he remarks. "I was too preoccupied with myself to notice that." After Silas puts a hand to his stomach, he shakes his head. "I do not require to eat, and even if I did, I don't have the heart..." Clearly, something has changed in Silas, as if a spark inside him was snuffed out.
And then all went to chaos.
As Jack let go of Silas, he is momentarily disoriented as the flames arrive. The ravens cause him to stumble back. And them the light. Oh, that blinding light! If it weren't for Silas's prior experience and his goggles he would have been blinded. Even then, the wind and water cause him to crash back onto the ground, soaking him.
Trixie did a loud sigh. "No, thats...just not going to happen." she said in a rather displeased tone. She grabbed the slug and put him back on her shoulder. Then she turned to jack.
Trixie looks at the walls, noticing this. "No your not the only one...this is..odd." she stated. Trixie shrugged. "No...not really. Not right now, but thanks for the info." she raised an eyebrow at his wetness, wondering where the water came from.
Silas, still sprawled out on the water, points to the unusually large slug on Trixie's shoulder. "What's with the slug?" he asks calmly as if nothing happened just now.
"Thanks to you too, mister," he replies. He pulls back his golden hood to reveal a face that Boris may have vaguely seen through a passing glance at the Inn once, though he looks much more youthful than before and has more feminine features. Coupled with his higher-pitched voice and ponytail, it's almost enough to mistake him for the opposite gender only upon first glance.
"I'm Faux. The greatest engineer in all the lands; I'm sure you've heard of me," he says, grinning.
He brings his sword to his back, and it seems to float behind him as he lets go of it.
"'Course, you can call me Renard, too-- actually, never mind, don't, I hate that alias."
He seems to contemplate something after speaking-- leaving Boris to talk to the person named Jack.
"That's strange... last time I used the Truth, it went full laser mode right off the bat... what's this scummy fire blade thing? Who designed this sword? Oh, right, me."
Faux looked up at the person Boris was speaking to. His appearance looked strangely familiar, and Faux felt as if he should be disliking him for some odd reason.
"Oh, geez," he mutters to himself, his glance drifting towards the mysterious figure that had appeared, "what's going on now? Someone, please fill me in..."
Jack leaves the foyer through the door.
And ends up in the Foyer again, entering through another door into the foyer just in time to see himself leave the foyer.
Outside, Maras notices how little effect their attacks are having, and he raises his hand. The creatures all stop their attacks, and retreat into the shadows, and Maras does the same.
Up in the attic, Ei hears the raven, but is seemingly proccupied. Ei is holding something in her hand, it looks like a part of the night sky, levitating in the palm of her hand. She looks at it intently, and chuckles.
"Yes, that will do nicely." Ei says, as she clenches her hand into a fist, crushing whatever it was she was holding. Simultaneously, everyone in and near the mansion feels a shiver go down their spine, as the mansion begins to shake as if suffering from an earthquake. Furniture is overturned, items fall to the floor and shatter, and the water quickly turns to steam, filling the mansion with a thick cloud of steam that makes it difficult to see. Then, the shaking stops. Inside the mansion, all is still. The damage caused by the shaking is easy to see, as several walls look as though they're on the brink of collapse, and lots of furniture is broken. Outside however, things are different. The buildings that were once within sight of the mansion are gone, and all that can be seen is the pavement right outside the mansion, and a starry void all around it.
Guess running away isn't an option, is it?
However, other things change too, as those within the mansion find themselves incapable of changing their shape, as even the figures find themselves incapable of switching to a different form, forcing them to navigate the mansion like normal while the mansion keeps shifting, making whatever path to the attic previously found by the raven useless as all doors lead to different locations than usual, locations that change when the door is closed.
And the Raven that found Annie's location? Well, it soon finds itself impaled on a spear with a blue-glowing tip, which douses the spark of life within the Raven. As two figures appear at the top of the twisted staircase leading to the attic door.
"Now, where we, my friend?"
Lyudmila raises an eyebrow at Revel's actions, but before she can respond, the mansion starts shaking, throwing all the foot and cutlery off the table.
"Well, we were having dinner, but it seems that that our dinner has suffered from a minor case of earthquake." Lyudmila says, looking at all the food that has fallen on the floor with a hint of sadness in her voice. She then turns to Revel and puts up her best smile.
"You can fix that, right? I'm still feeling a bit hungry even though I should be helping."
The words 'maybe later' was all the confirmation Sluggy needed, and was about as close to getting lucky he'd ever been with a lady. He looks off into the distance, fantasizing about all things he would do to Trixie later.
Fin felt more pain from the back end of his body, crying out slightly as he felt more toxin fill his body. Groaning in pain, he remembered a long time ago when he felt as much pain as this. A LONG long time ago...
*Flashback*
Fin was walking down a path in his village, hurrying back home before night fell.

Unwilling or possibly unable to be seen for what it truly is, the figure flees from the mansion, departing with haste to conceal themselves in the darker shadows of night.
.............................................................................
"I don't know how I got here... One moment I was falling asleep while Miss Ghost Girl was stealing my will, the next I wake up in the lap of Claus with no explanation whatsoever..." he announces, dejected. "And now I have a headache... What about this place?" He then asks, clearly confused.

Meet Ashen the shoulder dragon!
Jack briefly glances at Silas before looking back around the room again. "Er... well, the walls and such... how they're pulsating, the cracks, the staring eyes... I'm not the only one seeing all of that, am I?"
"Er... thank you Boris, but I can-"
Jack cuts himself off as the light fills the foyer, looking around as he tries to discern its source, his eyes shaded from the intensity by the nature of his helmet's ocularium; the light fades away as Jack's eyes land on Renard, taking in his change in appearance. Or at least, as much of his new appearance that he can see from his current position.
While looking at Renard, Jack's helmet slips off and lands on the floor with a loud clang due to the angle his head is at.
"Abadaka? Abadaka? Abadaka? Abadakaaa? Abadakaaaaaa?!! ABADAKAAA???!!!"

"Now, where were we, my friend?"
Silas, still sprawled out on the water, points to the unusually large slug on Trixie's shoulder. "What's with the slug?" he asks calmly as if nothing happened just now.
As the dark figures enter the house, Silas gets an unusual chill up his spine, making him shudder and go stiff at the same time.
Then he gets up. Of his own volition.

"Owie, owie, owie..." yelps the hooded person in pain, though it doesn't seem as if any major damage has been caused.
Jack leaves the foyer through the door.
And ends up in the Foyer again, entering through another door into the foyer just in time to see himself leave the foyer.
