Annie is unable to resist a small grimace toward Gwen, evidently seen on the dragons face, yet she turns her eyes to the Pigeon in the hope the look will come off as nothing more than seeing the bird as potential food.
Annie glides to the ground, trusting in Chisille’s instinct to protect other dragons. Nevertheless, she makes it clear to Gwen that she intends no harm by keeping a wide birth, stepping in a sideways manner in the direction of Chisille, who she comes nose to nose with, cautious, careful, nonthreatening, sniffing as if curious to inspect another of her own kind. The inspection last but a moment before Annie speaks, her words soft and unassuming.
“I am… Femmell. Lost for long time.” Her eyes divert to the rabbits that Lyudmila is laying out on the sheet, but her hungered diversion soon turns to a more guarded look around the area, as if expecting danger to arrive at any moment. “You need to be careful - I’m telling you now, a hunter is after me. He is close… I’m scared.”
Chisille watches as Annie glides to the ground with her continued feeling of excitement. Unlike what would happen if a human approached her, she walks just that little bit more towards her as she closes the gap. Her eyes occasionally glance over to Gwengolyn as well, noticing that she looks far angrier then when they first met up. [i]'That better not be how she truly feels about me. Running... is no really an option, with those that would have to go find me if I did. A fight might break out. I don't want that.'[/i] she thinks to herself.
When Annie was close enough to Chisille, close enough that they were almost touching noses she almost perfectly mimicked what Annie was doing, sniffing her over in examination, taking in her appearance and crushing the last bit of doubt that this was not a replica of her. She was exactly the same, down to the slightly twisted scale at the end of her tail.
As Femmell explains who she is, she seems to act anxious, as if looking for something. Chisille grows more worried when she mentions there is now a hunter after her. There always is. Even in the wilderness there are hunters searching for whatever they can get their hands on. "Who's the hunter? Know what they look like? Don't... don't worry, hunters less likely to attack groups. I think..." she said as she looked around a bit as well. Her spine tingled a bit in nervousness.
Betty doesn't really pay too much mind to the obvious fact that both dragons look exactly alike, after all, they were the first two dragons she'd ever seen in her gosh darn life, so there really wasn't much to go comparing the situation to. But she is more or less happy about how the two little dragons are becoming acquainted, folding her arms and rolling from heel to toe as she watches them pleased and smiling. But she sure didn't gosh darn like hearing about the hunter. That presented a big fat problem, because if there was a hunter around, then this new little dragon had more than likely led him right to them, putting her cute little friend Chissy directly in harms way.
"You know what guys! Lyudmila has been kind enough to prepare a little picnic layout for us all, so I think it's time we had ourselves a bite to eat." And that was pretty much all Betty could think of to say, for a change, hoping at the very least that a quick meal would help take those little dragon minds off the prospect of a hunter lurking close by.
But you know, when all is said done, there wasn't any gosh darn hunter about to threaten the life of her dear little scaly friend and get away with it. That much was for certain!
On another note, hundreds of years in the future, on some other continent, and possibly even in some alternate reality, Betty's dad, Ezmonareus Copupius Ozllin (although everyone just called him Ezmond), realized that he hadn't seen or heard from his darling Betty girl for going on near a whole day. Now I don't have to tell ya just how strange that was to Ezmond, since Betty had one of the biggest talking mouths in whole wide world, which made it kinda hard for him not to notice if she had been around. So he went all around the farm asking everyone including the casual field hands if they'd seen his darling Betty anywhere, but nope, not a soul had heard from that darling Betty girl since yesterday! Needless to say, Ezmond thought that was really bad, making him very upset and concerned and stuff, and he right there and then launched a universal search for his little darling bigmouth daughter.
On top of all that, Betty's 18th birthday was coming up, but I guess that's not really the point.
"Very true. Lunch is ready to eat, so let's not wait for long and eat!" Lyudmila says cheerfully as she sits down in the snow.
Gwen drops to one knee, but doesn't sit. She continues to hold the pigeon to her chest with one hand as she eats, slowly, her eyes not leaving the dragons. Every time she blinks, their pupils are a different size.
Vernon sighs, shaking his head, gives an eye roll to his company.
"Look!" He yells back through door. "We aren't looking for trouble. We want whatever is haunting you to end as much as you do. You aren't alone. I've lost many loved ones in this town... and I need not tell you how or why, by the sound of your voice I think you already know. So how about you give us a break, let us have that other key so I can head up to that castle and try to put an end to this drama. Hey... with any luck you, me, all of us[/i] will soon be delivered from this madness."
Ace steps around Vernon, holding a hand up, placatingly. "Perhaps we could recover your key," they say, and their tone would be comforting if it wasn't so flat. "If, perhaps, you could tell us where to find the witch."

When it gets pointed out by first Betty and then Lyudmila, Chisille looks over to where she had been snatching the fried rabbits out of the snow and laying them down on a mat, apparently throwing away bits of them as she does so. It looked like such a waste removing parts of the rabbit and she had no idea why she was doing it. Chisille might have to ask about it later on, but not right now.
She was still on the lookout for what this hunter might be so she can warn the others... even though it'll be only herself and Femmell who will be the targets. The others would willingly defend them against someone trying to kill them surely.
Perhaps not Gwen though. As Chisille grabbed one of the unprepared rabbits and tore at it's flesh hungrily, blood dripping all over her mouth as she does so, she noticed that Gwen had not taken her eyes off of them. This made her feel quite uncomfortable which only made matters worse when she looked down at her half-eaten meal and saw the red. She thought it looked different somehow. Scarier or something. She was used to seeing it, so why was it making her nervous all of a sudden completely bewilds her. 'Maybe I care about the rabbit? Eehhh... no, that's not it.' she thought as she took another bite.

As the sword impales Bob on the church wall, it pulls out of the body, leaving it where it hit the fence. Unfortunately for Buttons and Orson, Buttons' scream drew the sword's attention, which swings at the duo to slice them in half.
With the sword's focus now on Buttons and Orson- granted, who the sword's focus was on didn't matter to Jack in the heat of battle, as long as it wasn't on him at the moment- Jack manages to reach his crossbow unhindered, picking it up and quickly turning himself to face the wielder of the sword. Or, rather, what would be the wielder of the sword, if not for said wielder being invisible, as well as a ghost. Quickly loading a bolt into Thunderbolt, Jack takes aim- something that doesn't take very long, given the size of the sword's wielder- and releases the shot, with hope that either it or the electricity imbued into it would have some effect on a spirit.
Something that he was altogether not very experienced with fighting or otherwise dealing with.
Something that Jack was coming to expect with this town.

Somehow, in the midst of his sobbing into Orson's potato sack covering, Buttons' kitten instincts must have kicked in, some sort of 6th sense that made him aware of the approaching doom. His reaction to this sensation was automatic.
"Crap!" He said, and sprung from Orson's shoulder. As he soared into the air, legs and tail flailing loosely while the word 'sorry' drained from his mouth, Boris was rising to his feet, Bob's body began to twitch, and Jack was releasing the bolt from his crossbow. In the moments to follow Buttons managed to land on his feet, clinching tightly to the top of Jack's helmet.
Maras snickers at Renard's comment, but just continues following Ariel though at a short distance. Because, if people were trying to do Ariel in, it was probably best to not get too close to him, and to stay behind him so they could keep an eye on what happens to him.
Meanwhile, with Maras and Renard following, Ariel continued down the road cheerfully skipping with every third or fourth step and humming 'Take the A Train', a jazzy tune from the future.
As the person goes through the buildings, she finds nothing of interest. Most of the stuff she finds either isn't valuable or broken. Maybe someone else looted the place already, or these people just didn't have much of value to begin with.
After realizing there is nothing of interest in the buildings, she moves onto the others in the town. Going through quickly and orderly, keeping quiet.

Apparently this is what some of my friends think of me here:
Femmell too found it prudent to keep one eye on Gwen as she began her feast. After swallowing some flesh, she regards Lyudmila and Betty with a shy yet distinctive look of gratitude. It was an expression soon cut short when a shadow flickered over them all, instantaneously causing Femmell to crouch low, head tilted up at the sky where a raven was now circling overhead.
“Hunter’s pet! He found me….” The alert dispelled in a grave and grated tone as she then, keeping low, crawled in a backwards circling direction searching for the hunter himself, but he could not yet be seen in any direction.
She throws a haunted glare at Chisille, then to Betty, Lyudmila and last of all Gwen. “We must run!”
As Annie comes closer, Ei wraps her arms around Annie to pull her close.
"Yes, we can. Together. I won't leave you, not unless you want me to."
Nestled with her cheek rested on Ei’s shoulder, and for what seemed to have no apparent connection to anything else of topic, Annie replied only with these words; “Boris is a simple man. I love his heart.”
She takes advantage of the following quiet moments to sit in Ei’s embrace, admiring the pretty scene, though in time she got restless, turning a flattened gleam to Ei, requesting:
“Let’s go kill Ariel.” She sounded bored by the prospect of him. “Then we can move onto someone else.”
"I don't want anything to do with this anymore!" The man shouts.
"They'll kill me if they find out my key was stolen by that Witch"
Ace steps around Vernon, holding a hand up, placatingly. "Perhaps we could recover your key," they say, and their tone would be comforting if it wasn't so flat. "If, perhaps, you could tell us where to find the witch."
Vernon takes a step back, allowing Ace to make an attempt at reasoning with the frightened man. He lowers his voice as not to be heard by the man inside, and proposes a possible scenario to Uyir;
“What are your thoughts on, say… coaxing information from someone? Not my first choice, but if asking kindly doesn't work, then we got to do what we got to do.” It is clear by Vernon’s tone that his proposal was one of a less… innocuous nature.
As Arin walks through the gate, he spots a person sitting next to a wall, idly flipping his knife into the air and catching it repeatedly, apparently both unhindered by the cold and snow and very bored.
Arin takes notice of the person sitting by wall and approaches him silently. He stops about 5 feet away just watching him. Soon a breeze began blowing his hood closer to his face. After the breeze had passed he decide to spring a question. "Is this town completely abandoned?"

The bolt flies true, straight at where the Ghostly Knight to be.
And passes straight through said spot, embedding itself in a wall of a building. The sword doesn't stop it's movement in it's attempt to slice Orson

She doesn't find many things even worth inspecting. The only thing she finds that is remotely useful is a small wooden shield.

Annie nods, rises to her feet, uses one hand to open a passage to the other domain, and then taking Ei's hand they step out into the company of Ariel and Renard on the road, though unseen by them both.
"No. I don't want anything to do with the keys anymore. I lost my two best friends because of them. Both held other keys, both were killed because of them, by that Witch and that Puppeteer.
It is now clear that the more gentler methods of persuasion will not suffice in this matter, and Vernon turns his attention to both Jord and Ace, proposing the same tactic he mentioned to Uyir. He simultaneously pulls a dagger from his belt sheath.
Lyudmila looks at the bird with a mix of suspicion and confusion.
"Should I blast it, A- Femmell?"
Femmell widens her eyes questionably at Lyudmila's suggestion. "Kill bird, hunter still live." As she spoke a dark figure appeared not 20 meters from the group. They were tall, dressed in a black hooded robe, face hidden, hands sheathed in their sleeves. Upon their arrival, their rattled voice can be heard, speaking the name, "Anne". In concert with the speaking of the name, four other voices are heard, each one different, alerting the group that they had been surrounded by the dark figure and three other unseen persons.
As the sword impales Bob on the church wall, it pulls out of the body, leaving it where it hit the fence. Unfortunately for Buttons and Orson, Buttons' scream drew the sword's attention, which swings at the duo to slice them in half.
Orson instantly ducks as soon as he realizes that the sword is coming at him, Orson then sprints to the entrance to the sideroom where the stairs were, hoping to somehow have the attention drawn away from him, but unless the knight has no sense of object permanence, that isn't going to happen, but fortunately Orson is prepared to avoid whatever type of swing the knight throws at him.

"Where's that kid gone off to, now?" questions Renard in response to Maras' disappearance. He glances over at the sword hanging at his side. The kid's creation.
He grits his teeth in silent frustration, looking at the print the kid had left in the snow.
"This just keeps getting better and better," he mutters, continuing to follow Ariel. Nothing he could do.

Ariel, half way through a skip, reacts to the comments and quickly pivots to face Renard.
"Say what now?" He teeters on one foot as he also then notices the dents in the snow. "Well damn. The kid didn't even say goodbye." He remarks jauntily, then pivoted back around to continue his irregular walk and recommence his jazzy tune.
Uyir turns to Vernon, seemingly thinking for a little bit, before replying, quietly enough only Vernon can hear "...I personally do not approve of the methods used by most, but I...do understand the necessity if targets can't be made to talk using gentle persuasion"

Ace shakes their head, though the motion is hard to make out under their hood. "Uncouth," they say. "And I doubt it will work."
They rock back and forth on their heels, rustling their ragged cloak. "Allow me to try, first. There is no need to dirty our hands with blood."
Femmell widens her eyes questionably at Lyudmila's suggestion. "Kill bird, hunter still live." As she spoke a dark figure appeared not 20 meters from the group. Gwen flinches, attempting to make herself very small. Her bird flutters its wings frantically, and she lets it go.
Suddenly, she's gone, save for the prints of her boots, leading away.

Chisille stops chowing down on her meal and looks up at the bird. A horrible chill running down her spine when Femmell said it meant the hunter was very close. She prepared to get away from there when she heard voices. Voices calling out a name she did not recognize. A second chill ran through her. The voices had come from everywhere. They were surrounded.
Turning left and right, there were hunters all around them, though the only one that had actually shown themselves was one dressed in black robes. She couldn't see who they were underneath the robes, but the menacing way they had approached, coupled with them standing around a human frightened her even more. She could feel her heartbeat accelerating and her breath quickening the more she looked at them. The flames within her body started to heat up instinctively. The other flames started to heat up as well, so she wasn't sure which one was going to erupt from her maw first.
Betty is outraged by the rude interruption. Or it's possible what happened was just the metaphorical straw that broke the camels back after everything that had happens over the last day.
Whatever the case, she was just starting to enjoy noshing into a rabbits haunch when the dark figure fellow appeared with those other invisible folk. Now that was just gosh darn creepy! And I don't even need to mention how upsetting it was to see her little Chissy start to panic. So without showing any real restraint or giving any real foresight into the matter at all, she just jumped to her feet and started ranting some spell in words she'd couldn't even remember using before. A second after casting her hand in the general direction of the dark figure while yelling out those words, a legion of very angry Leopard Seals appeared, barking and making some strange garbling grumble as they charged rather awkwardly towards the dark guy.
"Gosh dammit it all on a perfectly fine Sunday morning!"
Seeing that really isn't what she was hoping for, Betty tries ranting off another spell to counteract the first, waving both arms wildly at what she thought was the direction of the seals. When she did that, somehow or another, four flaming balls (maybe some variety of small meteorite), came blazing down out of the sky at lightening speed, heading not only at the dark figure, but also at the three other points that the voices of the invisible hunters had spoken from.
With hardly even a gosh darn second to react, Betty calls out for everyone to hit the deck, as she too jumped down onto Chissy to shield her from the impact of any blast that might harm her.

Renard breathed a deep sigh as he watched Ariel's back move away from him. He clenched his fist, causing a few grains of black powder to mysteriously fall out of his hand. The signs were unmistakable. Everything strange that had happened since they started travelling; it had all seemed to be centered around Ariel. Someone was out for him. Renard knew he had to protect him. Throughout his life-- even through dark days in memories he had forgotten, he always had to protect what he cared about. A plan begun to hatch.
"Hey, Ariel... catch!" says Renard, tossing his pistol at Ariel. "You can look at it if you like-- it's my magnum opus, least I think so."

"Hey, Ariel... catch!" says Renard, tossing his pistol at Ariel. "You can look at it if you like-- it's my magnum opus, least I think so."
Ariel jumps, spinning about in the air as he catches the gun carefully in both hands as he lands.
"Score!" Ariel jokes, holding the gun over his head like football after scoring a goal. "But really," He says, bringing the gun back down and giving the weapon a look over, and somehow finding it hard not to continue humming his jazzy tune between sentences; "What's the meaning of this? I doubt a guy with such prestigious values as yourself throws his gun at people willy-nilly. Let me guess... you just wanna show it off? Nah, you don't have to do that, it's fine." He tells him sincerely, attempting to hand it back; "I've seen many a gun in my day. But really, nice weapon though." He shakes his fist victoriously at Renard. "You should be proud!"
She takes this small wooden shield. Even remotely so, something is still useful more than nothing. She decides to head further into the town, looking around the place to get her bearings.
None of the buildings nearby stand out among the rest, as most buildings nearby are simple townhouses.
Annie nods, rises to her feet, uses one hand to open a passage to the other domain, and then taking Ei's hand they step out into the company of Ariel and Renard on the road, though unseen by them both.
Ei stretches her arms and looks around.
"So, what's the plan?"

Taking notice of the figure, Lyudmila launches a spear of flame at the bird, hoping to skewer and ignite it.

Unfortunately for Orson, the rubble left behind by the tower's collapse cover the entrance to the church. He can't flee inside when the blade attempts to cut Orson in half with an overhead slash.

Lyudmila notices the fireballs coming down, and quickly casts a spell to put up a temporary barrier above her and those near her, shielding whoever hides under the umbrella-shaped shield from the fireballs.
As the clock passes Noon, the weather changes, and a thunderstorm combined with heavy rain occurs.
Gwen drops to one knee, but doesn't sit. She continues to hold the pigeon to her chest with one hand as she eats, slowly, her eyes not leaving the dragons. Every time she blinks, their pupils are a different size.

Meet Ashen the shoulder dragon!
Meanwhile, with Maras and Renard following, Ariel continued down the road cheerfully skipping with every third or fourth step and humming 'Take the A Train', a jazzy tune from the future.
After realizing there is nothing of interest in the buildings, she moves onto the others in the town. Going through quickly and orderly, keeping quiet.
Apparently this is what some of my friends think of me here:

"He's cool." - Pi

Vernon takes a step back, allowing Ace to make an attempt at reasoning with the frightened man. He lowers his voice as not to be heard by the man inside, and proposes a possible scenario to Uyir;
“What are your thoughts on, say… coaxing information from someone? Not my first choice, but if asking kindly doesn't work, then we got to do what we got to do.” It is clear by Vernon’s tone that his proposal was one of a less… innocuous nature.

Arin takes notice of the person sitting by wall and approaches him silently. He stops about 5 feet away just watching him. Soon a breeze began blowing his hood closer to his face. After the breeze had passed he decide to spring a question. "Is this town completely abandoned?"
"No. I don't want anything to do with the keys anymore. I lost my two best friends because of them. Both held other keys, both were killed because of them, by that Witch and that Puppeteer.
Lyudmila looks at the bird with a mix of suspicion and confusion.
"Should I blast it, A- Femmell?"
Ei enjoys her time together with Annie, just relaxing and not worrying about other things. When Annie suggests killing Ariel, Ei just responds by smiling and a simple "Yes, let's."
Maras starts lagging behind the other two, until suddenly, while neither Ariel nor Renard is looking, he vanishes. All that's left where Maras stood are marks in the snow that look as if someone fell over into it.
The person looks up at Arin, and inspects him with his glowing green eyes, not saying anything.
She takes this small wooden shield. Even remotely so, something is still useful more than nothing. She decides to head further into the town, looking around the place to get her bearings.
Apparently this is what some of my friends think of me here:

"He's cool." - Pi
"[INSULT] [INSULT] [INSULT]." - Sparky

Annie nods, rises to her feet, uses one hand to open a passage to the other domain, and then taking Ei's hand they step out into the company of Ariel and Renard on the road, though unseen by them both.
It is now clear that the more gentler methods of persuasion will not suffice in this matter, and Vernon turns his attention to both Jord and Ace, proposing the same tactic he mentioned to Uyir. He simultaneously pulls a dagger from his belt sheath.

Meet Ashen the shoulder dragon!
Back on the farm! Ezmond can't find his darling daughter anywhere in the known universe, so he expands his search through various timelines to see if that will help at all.
None of the buildings nearby stand out among the rest, as most buildings nearby are simple townhouses.
