"I don't care how much A'thery suggests otherwise, my daughter isn't leaving Aer until you figure it out." My mother, Kalila the Goddess of Love, exclaimed.
Recently, an old friend had been stirring up trouble in Eternia, so the Gods were debating on how to take action. One of the two main ideas is to send the strongest, non-Major God down to fight him, but that would strip them of their prowess and reduce them to a Fallen Angel. Tobias, according to Fiora several years ago, had managed to spike his power to be above A'thery's himself, so sending anybody weak would not only be fruitless, but also insulting. The other strategy is to wait until they find out how Tobes had left Aer without getting weaker, then exploiting this to send that priorly mentioned person down. I, as the only one in Aer around his age that had beaten him in a fight, was suggested by Dimitri, my father, to go and kill my old friend. Of course, nobody asked my opinion on the matter.
"Honey, she'll be fine. Tobias and her were equally powered back then, but we've been training her with some of the best tutors in existence." Dimitri argued. "Even if she gets a bit weaker, she'll be plenty strong to deal with him."
If Fiora wasn't lying about how powerful Tobias was, then I doubt I could stand a chance, even if I slipped through the Aerial Barrier without losing my Godship. Tobes, I thought, looking out the window of our mansion, where did we go wrong?
[Fiora]
"I'll make you a deal. You must know how lucky you are, since I have only made a deal of this caliber with one other person." Xeltia said, watching the stars as if they were doing something other than float around. "I will give you the power to witness the universe within your dreams, in exchange for the energy you will regenerate in three hours of sleep. You may not interact with anything, but you will have omniscience while sleeping."
The deal seemed pretty sweet. Getting to see whatever I wanted was music to my ears. I'd be able to keep track of anything and everything without paying too hefty of a price. "Deal." I said, putting my hand out for him to shake. He accepted my invitation and clasped hands with me, then shook. "I must ask, was the deal this easy for the other person? I'm surprised that not everyone is utilizing this."
Xeltia had been looking at me when we made the deal, but moved his gaze off somewhere far away when I asked. "The other guy didn't make the same exchange as we have. He chose to forfeit any dreams he would ever have while sleeping in order to grant his dream — the goal kind."
((Sorry, I didn't mean to sound angry. Well I did, but not in a bad sense. Also, easy solution. Kill some Wicked, enjoy some fight scenes, and follow the trail to Alice. I don't mean to make my character centric, just a thought. Or, simply mindless slaughter. Make an example of how strong your characters are! Also, I MIGHT make an RP based on Fate/Stay Night, and the entire Nasuverse as well. Anybody interested?))

"I've never been in your position, so I wouldn't know," I said. "That aside, these boys of yours are on a bit of a rampage elsewhere. It would probably be appreciated if we stopped them - one way or another. At the very least, that's what I'm going to do. It would be a great help if you were to work with me, since you can, apparently, just tell them to stop and they'll obey. Are you in?"
[Garrett]
I stood, still angry, in the pile of ashes. In my rage, I had scorched the earth pretty significantly - much more than I needed to. The result was a rather large patch of what used to be grass and dirt now reduced to soot and cinders. The bodies of the super-Tainted I killed had been transmuted in much the same manner. It wasn't even possible to tell which ones I had sliced up - or, for that matter, whether I had used my blade at all. Overkill? Probably. But it was by far one of the best stress relievers out there. Spotting more super-Tainted in the distance, I made my way over to them. All I wanted was sleep, and as far as I was concerned, the quickest way to a bed was through these monsters.
Well, that would make sense. "Alright! Let's go kill some monsters!" Bouncing with excitement, I dashed over to the closest, what were they called? Wicked? Yeah, I ran towards a nearby Wicked. 'Woah! I almost just fell on my face! Since when can I move that fast? Cool!'. My leg was already swinging upward, considering my unexpected velocity, but I went ahead and channeled it into an attack. The Wicked didn't stand a chance, surprisingly. The moment my leg made contact, the Wicked started dissolving into the familiar black goo. However, the liquid was still accelerated significantly. Smashing against the rubble, a tiny patch of black-ish purple was all that was left of my personal creation.
Looking at at my hands in confusion, a giddy smile spread over my face. 'Hey, there are more Wicked over there! Well, I haven't tested my strength yet. Let's become a Demon Slayer!' I was a blur. I was surprised to note my eyes weren't afflicted with Tunnel Vision. Odd. Anyway, I neared the small group in a few seconds. Crouching my knees, I leapt over them, a good twenty feet separating us before I dived downward. Now what I DIDN'T expect was for a Wicked to just straight-up punch me... In the face. While it did hurt, it definitely would've hurt more if it's entire arm didn't immediately evaporate. Considering he was going to dissolve anyway, I dodged another attack all fancy-acrobat style, before grabbing a steel pipe off the ground. If you can't tell what I'm about to do, I'm putting a dog out of its misery.
'Now. What's that phrase some human's say? One? No, that's stupid. Two? No, why would they say two? Three? Doesn't roll off the tongue very well. What could it be? Oh yeah!'"FOUR!!!"
I shouted, slamming the pipe into the beast's torso. It immediately disappeared from view, having collapsed in a pile of debris a few hundred feet away. It had actually been bifurcated during its tumble! Turning to my next opponent, I noticed both of the beasts were already attacking me. Swinging the pole to the side, I completely negated a jab from its non-developed hands, breaking its disfigured bones and smashing its entire hand before casting it aside from sheer force alone. Immediately, I grabbed the other end of the pole and used it to block the next strike, before slamming it down on the next. Flipping over its arm, I grabbed its head firmly and tore it straight off. Turning to my first opponent, I found it had finished dissolving. Apparently, so had all the other Wicked I had just dealt a good slice of, well, a painful death and what ultimated to the cessation of their existence. Kind of depressing, actually. Fortunately, the magic that gave them any form of sentience HADN'T been annihilated, so they sort of lived on through it. I think that's how it works, at least. Looking back at Ivan, who was a good hundred meters away, I waved. 'I should probably head back over now.'
[Muffins]
Woah. Her Majesty was truly fearsome on the battlefield. In the span of thirty seconds, she had managed to take out four Wicked. Not to mention half that time was just running. Tilting my head downward, I noticed the corpses of the Wicked has started levitating into the air. As she ran back over here, they slithered through the air like a mass of tentacles. Once she reached Ivan, I was somewhat mortified to see them be absorbed into her being. Since when can Her Majesty assimilate us Wicked? Granted, she can control, dissipate, create, and overpower them with ease. I guess this is just the next step of control she has over us. It's actually kind of ridiculous! Regardless, I needed to watch her, see what this might cause. Locking my fingers together behind my back, I summoned Cuddles.
[Cuddles]
After poofing back into existence, I was designated my mission and I started to enact it. After all, I'm just a puppet, right? Well, that's dissatisfying, to say the least. Floating down to my target's location, I watched Alice from behind Ivan. I can only make Alice incapable of seeing me. Hopefully Ivan wouldn't notice. Peering at Alice, I noticed something had changed. Her eyes were no longer the brilliant turquoise they used to be. Now, they shined a solid gold. Brilliant and luminescent, yet also chaotic and powerful. The feeling they conveyed reminded me a bit too strongly of the eye of a storm, with lightning bolting in and out of existence. They were mesmerizing. Shaking my head, I struck myself out of the daze, before returning to my master
'Interesting.'
[Alice]
Upon reaching Ivan, a brief flash of gold purveyed throughout my vision. Huh. Odd. "That was fun! We should kill monsters more often, Ivan." Curling my toes beneath my feet, I leapt onto his back. Essentially, we were contestants in a "chicken fight", without any other contender. Pumping my fist in the air, I started chanting. "We're going on a trip, to watch some Wicked butt get kicked. Slashing through the mob! My brand new name is Bob!" After a few rounds, I stopped. "Hey Ivan? Are we friends?" I blushed slightly, embarrassed at the notion. Yes, it was sudden. Yes, it might make things awkward. But in the end, I was lonely. I needed a companion to enlighten me on human culture. Ivan seemed suitable for the cause. Plus, he has a cute face.
((I'm the Grand Master of Pageclaim. Also, if you don't understand the song, you aren't truly American.))
I watched as Alice sliced through her own creations like a hot knife through butter. It would seem that, despite having minions, she's not a bad fighter herself. I noticed that her eyes had changed color, and I was about to ask her about it when she hopped on my back and started signing. I honestly wasn't sure how to react, but for some reason I didn't really mind the childish way with which she was acting. I was even more surprised when she asked if we were friends.
I froze for and cocked my head for a moment while I thought about the question. Though I had plenty of reason not to trust her, I wanted to give her a chance. She gave the impression of being totally innocent. That, or she was a world-class actress who should consider a different line of employment. However, that didn't give me the right to expose others to potential danger. If she really did have harmful intentions towards humanity, then she would be my responsibility. It would only be fair if I was going to be the first line of defense, and the best way to do that would be to stay close to her.
"Yeah," I said, having totally forgotten about the change in her eye color, "I guess we are."
It was at this point that I noticed a ghost-like creature hovering near Alice and me. It seemed to be some version of a Wicked, but it didn't appear to have any hostile intent. Alice didn't react to it, either, so I figured its presence must be benign. I decided to ignore the creature for the time being.
"Now that I think about it, my companions are probably wailing on the stragglers," I said to Alice. "We should probably try to find them and help them out."
"YAY!! Oh, and yeah. Shall we be off?" Twirling my hair around my finger, I turned to Muffins impassively. "Muffins, would you be so kind as to deliver us to our location?" Looking down at Ivan, I added "Wherever that is..." Well actually, there really isn't any point in riding the Muffins Express.
I could probably just run there, and considering Ivan defeated Muffins, it's a safe bet to assume he can as well. "Wait, nevermind. I haven't really stretched my legs since, well, my creation. Mind if we go on a jog? It'd draw in a lot less attention than piggy-backing Muffins." Yeah, that sounds like a plan.
(( Alright, let's use a different example. Look back at the latest few pages, please. Count how many posts each person has made. It's been a game of Ping-Pong between two players and there's no doubt that a lot of us are confused on what to do. For plot, I'm not super sure what to do. I hate having to make us stick to any one path, but that may be in order to get control of this Roleplay. Tobias' Tournament is in 4 IG Days, so the time will be spent in any way shape or form. Characters will be aware of the upcoming event via an action in a future post. If your character wishes to train, so be it. If they wish to buy a goldfish and name it Billy, nobody's stopping you. ))

The final slabs of sheet rock were raised and manipulated, leaving a stone version of the arena to come. I could already foresee the battles that would take place with the tournament I had planned. To be frank, I was excited to see the real potential of the group I had taken a special interest in, as I could detect a larger power with them each. I had, prior to building the actual arena, constructed a lodging building for people to spend the nights in. Quincy and I were already making a mess of the penthouse floor, having rented out every single book in a library from a nearby town. My apprentice was hard at work, studying in order to conquer the other opponents. He would be participating, while I was just going to be the judge.
Placing my hand on a pedestal, which was really an ancient artifact that allowed you to tap into the power of the Earth, I commanded the stone to switch places with other materials for a sort of equivalent exchange. Panels of rock were turned into waving flags, limestone was converted into wood and metal, etc. Something I had discovered was the Terra Pedestal could only be summoned once in its user's lifetime, so I wouldn't be able to move it again. This made constructing the arena much more difficult, since I had to build with it's position in mind.
"Mana Shield," I read, snatching a book that I had kept hovering around me, "a defensive spell that would create a defensive barrier of energy around you. It has a very small upkeep cost, but drains your magic energy instead of inflicting damage. Strong attacks can shatter it without depleting your energy. Can cause Magic Withdraw and Magic Whiplash." An interesting concept, yet it seemed that it could cause quite an issue for people with smaller mana pools. I let go of the tome, allowing it to continue to float slowly around me, along with a plethora of other novels that I had paused.
These creatures were everywhere. They were many in number, and horrid in strength. No mere human could hope to stand against them. Luckily, I am no mere human.
Dispelling my shadowy wings, I used the dissipating shadows to slowly glide towards the earth. Landing on a dirt path in the woods, I saw many shades within the trees. Their eyes slowly turned my way, gleaming with a torturous kind of hatred. I slowly pulled Darkdrift out of its scabbard and patiently awaited for the first comer to make a move.
And they did.
The very first combatant was a large, ogre-like Wicked that charged me from behind. In a single instant, I stepped to the side and swung my sword, slicing the beast clean in half. Its torso flew forward and hit a tree, snapping it like a twig and knocking it down onto another Wicked and crushing its head.
Three more Wicked came running out of the brush, but I had other plans. Three streams of darkness shot out from the ground around me, enveloping the beasts and tearing them apart like gift wrapping at Christmas. These streams then spun around me, shredding everything they touched - Wicked, trees, foliage, and the various fauna that dwelt within the forest.
After five seconds, I was the only thing standing among a half-mile circle of desolation. With a smug grin on my face, I flew off towards the motel. The slaughter was over for me, and I was still in need of sleep.

"We must call for aid! Executor, bring out the Reavers! ... What? What do you mean we don't have reavers anymore? Then... send the Dragoons! ... Ugh, then what do you suggest? ... What's a Void Ray?!" -Tassadar, Savior of the Templar
((Sorry. My priorities were somewhat skewed. Call it an obsession, but I just wanted Alice to be integrated into the main group of characters. If you might remember, it'd be the first time.))
((I think we should all just say the Wicked have been dealt with and head back to the motel. That would probably be the best way to get this runaway train back on track.))
((This is the only thing i can think of to satisfy a three hour timeskip with no activity. Its kinda short but im pressed for time right now. Sorry.))
Zicka began fighting off the super-powered Wicked as his allies joined the battlefield. Zicka began with summoning his mock-tainted, just to see how powerful these new creatures really were. The mock-tainted were destroyed in seconds. Zicka took to the skies, avoiding the extremely large one and began firing chain death spells into the ranks.
Then, something happened. Something that he didnt expect, and something that never happened before. A spell rebounded on him. He had no idea what would happen, but he knew there was no avoiding it. As it hit Zicka, he fell from the skies, limp, but not lifeless. He fell, and just lay there. The Wicked passed over him, presumably because he carried the same essence as they did.
He couldnt do anything. He just layed there, unable to move. Breathe, He told himself. Just wait it out. It cant last forever. But it seemed to have. At most, a few hours passed, but it felt like much longer, as his mind was spinning, he couldnt keep track of the time. The only relevance was the sun rising. Eventually, however, he began to get some clarity. He could think properly. "H-Help?" He called. His voice wasnt as loud as he had hoped, but maybe some survivor of the town might have heard.

Puella Magi Madoka Magicka is an awesome, feel-good, cutesy anime. You should watch it!
((Well here it is, my first post in this thread.))
[Lucy]
The sun shined brightly as Ordis and I walked along the dirt path. We had decided to take a shortcut through a patch of woods to try and arrive at Verona sooner. We were warned that this area was notorious for bandits and robbers, but it shouldn't be anything we couldn't handle. "Hey Ordis how long until we reach the end of this forest?" I ask while blowing a strand of hair out of my face. "I don't know, let me check the map." He said as he took a folded map out of his jeans pocket. "Looks like we should be out of here in an hour if we don't take a break." He said as he put the map back into his pocket. "Man I can't wait to be able to eat real food instead of whatever it was that you made last night." I said as Ordis lightly punched me in the arm. "Alright, alright let's keep going, we should be able to ge-" I was suddenly cut off as a loud scream caught my attention. "Lucy that sounded close, we should go check it out." Ordis said. I simply nodded before we ran towards the scream.
When we got there we saw a group of men wearing all black surrounding a woman. The woman seemed scared and judging from the knives that some of the men were carrying It was obvious they weren't here to help. "Ordis circle around and try to find a better position, I'll take them head on." I said as Ordis nodded before circling around to get a better position. As I approached one of the men from behind I used some of my magic to make myself invisible. When I got behind the man I released the spell and tapped him on his shoulder. "What?" He asked as I smashed my fist into his jaw, a sickening crunch coming from his jaw. "Alright guys you have two options" I said as the man hit the ground, his buddies turning to face me. "One, you take your buddy here and leave and you all leave with intact bones" The man on the ground groaned "Well except for this guy. Or 2, you can come at me and find out what eating through a straw is like." The men all looked at each other before one of the men yelled "Get her!" A small pop and the man went down with a blown out kneecap. The men stared at me before one yelled "Run!" and they all took off, two of them grabbing their injured friend and hauling him off.
"Well that was easy." I said as Ordis emerged out of his position. "I agree I thought they would have at least had a few of them come at you." He said as he put away his sniper rifle. Walking over to the woman I ask her "Hey are you okay? Did they hurt you?" The woman shook her head and explained to us that she was from Verona and that she was returning from a trip from central. Central had recently been attacked by a hoard of tainted. Fortunately she was able to leave before most of the damage was done. After thanking us she was on her way as Ordis pulled out the map again. "Huh if we follow this path we should be there in less than an hour." Ordis said. "Cool, lets get going then." I said as we continued on our way.
When we arrived instead of a nice and peaceful town it was a battlefield. Scorched lands, destroyed buildings and bodies everywhere. As we were making our way through the battlefield we heard something odd. A weak voice that was barely louder than a whisper calling for help. "Hello? Where are you?" I yelled out before I noticed the person in question. At least it looked like a person, well kind of. "Hey buddy do you need some help?" I asked as I knelled down by him while Ordis kept his distance. "What happened here?" I asked him, not sure if he could answer me or not.

Ugh, my stomach hurts. Wait, everything hurts! Agh! Please, it hurts so bad! KILL ME!! I fell off Ivan's shoulders and started spasming. Purple foam frothed from my mouth like a jettison of pollution, covering my chin in Titaint's warped essence. Sirens started going off in my head, and I briefly lost control as my mouth opened.
"CODE GREY!! WICKED AGENTS CAN NO LONGER BE SUSTAINED! TEMPORARY STORAGE OF ALL UNITS INSIDE REAGENT COMMANDER MUFFINS. TERMINAL RELEASE: ZERO! ENGAGE TROJAN HORSE!! PROJECT EMBASSY IS A-GO!"
Through my blood-filled vision, I vaguely bore witness to what events unraveled.
Muffins seemed to have changed. Instead of curiosity reflecting through the pinpoints that could be called his eyes, only urgency remained. In movements quicker than I had thought possible for Muffins, he had leaped into the air. His palms smashed into an invisible barrier in the atmosphere, before glowing with purple energy.
A massive symbol covered the entire town of Verona, as well as expanding in a massive circle surrounding other villages the Wicked plagued. Everywhere under said circle, hundreds, if not thousands of Wicked reverted into liquid, before ascending to meet the circle in the sky. A vast well of purple energy congealed in the air, almost the size of the village itself. Muffins, now much smaller than said orb, proceeded to leap over Ivan and I, before landing a few thousand feet away. His palms melted into the ground, and soon a massive door had formed. Muffins then did something spectacular; he sprouted wings. Granted, he got a bit shorter, but it was still pretty cool.
Flapping his wings once, Muffins was propelled upwards. With every flap of his wings, a deafening burst of wind forced everyone below to their knees. Eventually, he passed the orb, floating literally tens of thousands of feet in the air. Then, in an almost kamikaze-esque maneuver, he dived into the massive sphere of energy. Then, all was silent. The giant rune seemed to be alive as it slid off the invisible ceiling it was carved upon and crashed onto the ball of Taint.
Muffin's arms burst out of the bottom of the ball, before he sacrificed himself, dissolving. His remains were pulled into the door, dragging the massive structure in as well. It was like watching bathwater drain out. After it finished absorbing the entire species, the Door closed. The moment the portal disappeared, I jolted HARD, gasping for air as if I had just been resuscitated.
Sitting up, I wheezed softly. After a few minutes of hyperventilating, I shakily got to my feet. Apparently, that wasn't allowed by whatever higher power was watching at the moment. Falling again, I screamed in agony as my hand was slowly carved into by some invisible entity. After another few minutes of brutal pain, I finally got up.
"Oh, oh my god. What happened? God, I feel like crap. Was that all a dream? Or was that entire fiasco real?" Looking down at my arm, I noticed an intricate symbol had appeared on the back of my left hand. 'God, could this day get any weirder?' Well, it was the first day of my existence. Wait, are all days like this?
Looking to Ivan, I said "So, ignoring all that weird crap, should we go? Also, I changed my mind about running there. Can I get a ride?" Not waiting for an answer, I lazily crawled up his back like I was climbing a mountain, eventually sitting on his shoulders. Dissipating the liquid on my face, I quickly passed out from exhaustion. My concerns about transportation faded away as I drifted into blissful unconsciousness.
(( I really should post from Fiora's POV, but she's currently sleeping. ))

"I'm going to Eternia." I decided, interrupting my parents' bickering, "Tobes needs to be stopped and there's no way we'd be able to get me down there as a Goddess in time. I'll go down and figure out what he's planning, then I'll find a way back." While I did it solely to comfort my parents, I was never find of lying in any way. The Aerial Barrier was much like a one-way gate, although the cost of passing through was immense enough. If I were to go down to the surface, there would be an almost zero percent chance of me ever returning. Fallen Angels, as the name suggests, are Gods and Goddess who can no longer be around the others of their kind. Was I really ready to give away my comfortable life just for everyone else up here to be able to live out theirs?
Unfortunately, there was no time for goodbyes. My father looked disheartened as an act for my mother, but I knew he was proud of me for taking his side. My mother, on the other hand, looked absolutely heartbroken to be losing her daughter. I concentrated on the Aerial Barrier and slowly passed through the ground, the floor beneath me becoming clouds. In a matter of moments, I went from standing peacefully to plummeting to an inevitable death unless I did something. Summoning fire in mid air didn't help much for slowing me down, but I could steer a bit. I began searching using Toby's sonar method and aimed myself toward the highest amount of magical energy I could sense on the continent. It had to be Tobias, but that theory shattered when that signal split into several chunks each in their own direction.
How stupid could I be? Of course he'd hide his presence!
As many Fallen Angels may know, the worst part about becoming one is the landing. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get jets of flame potent enough to delay my becoming a pancake, all until I tried my last resort and released a single, huge explosion beneath me, which negated my momentum. Even having not died, I still was a bit off.
Hello! Someone familiar's voice said directly in my mind.
[Tobias]
The arena was complete and I was running out of books to read. I remained in the center of the bracket one dueling area, pushing myself up and down with only one arm while doing a handstand. Training my mind was obviously important, but I'd need a physique to support such a capacity. Three times spun around me, each one filled to the brim with magical information and notes from previous mages who used the book. I was, quite frankly, getting bored of waiting. Putting two fingers of my inactive hand in my forehead, I activated an advanced form of telepathy that would connect to anybody who could be considered, in one way or another, powerful.
"Hello!" I said, broadcasting my message across the continent. "In four days, a tournament will be held in order to see who is worthy of being in a small group of professionals. We will directly tackle the Tainted. In seven days, the tournament will end and I will decide who to take with me. In nine days, the Tainted will be destroyed.
"In order to find me and the location of this tournament," I continued, "I will release my magic energy once each day until the day of the tournament. You will have four days to find me. Good luck." At once, I canceled my cloaking spell and waves on my aura poured out from around me. How long have I been going with this weight bearing me down? I left my presence up for sixty seconds, then resumed my cloak.
((No, she didn't. She removed SOME, but that was just to rebuild Muffins. And no, Ivan is busy cutting off the source. I figure it's a better idea to destroy the factory instead of all its product, right?))

((I apologize for the degraded quality and increased quantity of my posts. Conversations can force roleplayers into making shorter, more rapid posts simply because there isn't enough to write about.))
[Ivan]
There's no kill like overkill.
[Alice]
Oh yeah!' "FOUR!!!"
((The Little Einsteins theme? Really?))
[Ivan]
There's no kill like overkill.
((Absolutely. 😝😝😝))
[Alice]

[Rogan]
There's no kill like overkill.
((Sniper rifle? Isnt this mideaval?))
((Well since Ninja approved of both of my apps let's just say it was one of the creations of the lab where Ordis was made))
((Scarfking, that's your signal!))
((Calm down Can he doesn't have to post right away if I make a post involving him.))
((I didn't mean for that to sound aggressive. I just wanted to make sure he caught that blip of interaction. Apologies.))
((Sorry for tennis-posting, but this needs to be done.))
[Alice]
(( I really should post from Fiora's POV, but she's currently sleeping. ))
[Demetria]
