After being denied by the young man for his catch offer, Blake decided to hold the ladder. If he could do anything to help, he needed to do it. Blake grabbed the ladder as the child came down. He waited until the person was all the way down the ladder before he decided to do anything else. Suddenly, he noticed a person who became trapped behind the window in the house. Feeling heroic, Blake decided that he needed to do something about it. He climbed up the ladder and ran inside, turning his skin to steel as he did so. He ripped his way through the rubble and chased after the young man. He chased him through the house until the young man found his way out the door. Blake followed just as the young man collapsed outside the door. He ran up to him, skin still made from steel and clothes slightly blackened and torn. He kneeled down next to the child and said, "Yo Danny, I need yo!" He shouted.
Danny watched, entranced, as the house slowly collapsed. Suddenly, he saw a child run out of the house and started searching for a person to give this child to. He looked to his right and saw a child. He walked over to them and said, "Hey, I need to help that guy, can you hold this?" Shocked, the young man nodded and Danny gave him the baby. He quickly ran to the body just as Blake called out for his help. Danny soon got over there and looked down at the unconscious child. "Are you ok?" Asked Danny.
((So we've revived this threat again, nice! I'll go ahead try to bring my guy back in as well. I'm not really sure what else I could have had my guy do but as long as this is still going it's okay.))
Still holding the baby Edward quickly handed him off to a another person in the crowd. "Take care of him, we're not done yet." Edward said to the stranger, taking another look at the building Edward could see everything that could be done was, the fire hose was spewing water appropriately, the people from the nurses office were aiding another kid who had braved the fires, and a fire ladder was on scene. Taking note of the person on the ground, obviously exhausted from breathing smoke, Edward decided to bring bottled drinking water to the scene. Pushing himself out of the crowd he rushed further back into the plaza leaving behind an unnoticeable wave of wind, snatching up an unopened bottle of mineral water Edward came back to the crowd and pushed himself back in, his whole journey took less than a minute. Bringing himself up to the young man, still on his knees coughing, Edward offered the water to him. "The fire's still going, do you guys think one hose is enough?" Edward asked to the trio present as he glanced around around. Looking at Blake however gave Edward pause. "Does anybody else see that?" Edward asked, hoping he hadn't gone crazy.
((Felix definitely doesn't look like a child, Ice. He's one of the biggest guys around (Actually bigger than Blake), and he seems like one of the oldest too. Oh, and he's not unconscious, he's still standing, just hunched over and coughing pretty badly.))
Within seconds of emerging into the fresh air Felix was surrounded by a few people, one kneeling beside him calling for help, another approaching a second later and asking if he was alright, then finally a third appeared with a bottle of water. His eyes stung, his clothes and skin were coated in soot and his lungs felt like they were on fire, but the youth was alive and still conscious. Still, it had been a pretty narrow escape. Had it been anybody else up there in his position they likely wouldn't have made it out.
His throat too sore to speak Felix took the offered water gratefully, managing to nod his head at the boy who offered it as he quickly opened it and drank deep. He swirled the first mouthful around before swallowing, immediately feeling a lot better, though he continued to drink until the bottle was half empty. Even then he couldn't help but cough, albeit a lot less frequently and much less violently, so he managed to rise up back to his full height and run a sweaty hand over his face, clearing the stinging tears. Although as his vision properly cleared the first thing he saw was not any of the boys trying to help him, but the somewhat peeved face of a blonde girl he knew all too well.
"We talked about this a whole lot before, Felix!" Jessie exclaimed, having emerged from the crowd just a little bit behind the boys, now stood just behind Edward's right shoulder. "We do this kind of stuff as a team!"
The large boy managed a brief chuckle between a couple of coughs.
"Yeah Jess, I remember," He replied to her, letting out a slight grunt when her fist shot out and smacked into his shoulder. Not particularly hard, though definitely not soft either, just enough to make him rub where she hit him.
"Obviously not since you just did hero stuff without me!" The young man's sister didn't seem particularly upset with Felix's actual state, nor the fact he'd rushed into a burning building. Rather, she just seemed annoyed he'd done so without her. "Come on, you promised!"
"Yeah, sorry about that Jess... Didn't exactly have the time to go looking for you."
"This is your one freebie, you got it? Do it again and I'm gonna beat you down!"
The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
After reaching the foot of the ladder, Arion scanned the crowd of the hundreds of kids. Some stared at him and the building, while most stared at the small group at the open door to the burnt building. It seemed that the teenager who was with him managed to escape through the front door, which surprised Arion, since he was sure the door had been impassable. He raised his eyebrows without thinking and started to wonder wether he had powers or not. He thought he was the only one, but there could be a chance that there were others with powers.
He skimmed the people in the small group. The teenager was talking to a blonde female, and beside them were a couple more teenagers. His eyes were diverted to a guy who seemed reflective to the sun's light; he seemed to be completely made out of steel. Arion wouldn't have believed his own eyes if the previous events in his life did not happen. He rubbed his eyes to double check and make sure his eyes weren't playing with his mind. The guy still looked like he was made out of steel, so he walked towards the group, trying to see for certain. As he walked towards them, he noticed other kids were staring at the metal figure, some with their mouths open in awe. He decided his eyes weren't playing with them when he got up to the group. The guy was fully encased in metal, and the sun's glare was reflecting off him. Arion tried to say something, but his mouth failed him and he stood there with his mouth attempting to form words but not saying anything. He gave up, then just stuck his index finger out and pointed at the teenager.
((Sorry, I could have sworn I edited all of that but the forum isn't letting me I guess.))
Blake and Danny stood next to the young man, making sure that he was feeling alright. Eventually, another kid gave him some water and the young man stood up to his full height. Blake was surprised at how tall the man seemed. Blake looked up to the boy just as a girl approached. She called him Felix and he called her Jess. Blake and Danny decided to remember the name and move on. This was just as another young man mentioned Blake's current appearance. "See what?" Asked Danny.Their question was soon answered by another young man pointing at Blake. Blake looked down at his hands and he realised that he was in his steel form. He quickly turned back to his original form and said, "Yo, sorry 'bout that. Fells like my normal skin ya know?" Said Blake to the pointing man. "Are ya goin' ta be good Felix?" Asked Blake.
Edward nodded back to the other person, who was soon after revealed to be named Felix, as Felix stood up he was surprised he lasted in the smoke as long as he did but maybe bigger did matter in certain times. Edward side stepped slightly to allow the person behind him better access to her target, listening in he became slightly curious at their mention of 'hero stuff', raising an eyebrow as they continued. "So you guy's run into burning buildings on a daily basis?" Edward joked, demonstrated by a slight smirk. So I have super speed, and this guy has steel skin. At least the bright side is i'm not the only one, and he doesn't seem to be a jerk so that's also a plus. "Yeah Felix, you already sound better." Edward said after Blake had already made his comment.

Arion raised his eyebrow at the guy who had just talked to him. He talked about the steel skin like it was all natural. What??? He was confused, but only slightly. If he had some kind of ability to change his skin, then maybe this power kind of thing was universal. Arion lifted his palms and stared at them. He hadn't used the power since that day... And he had no clue how to use it as well. It was such a long time ago that it seemed like a dream, but he knew it wasn't. Besides, how did that other really tall kid escape without the ladder? Arion had almost no doubt that others had powers as well. He decided to mention this, but casually and without mentioning his own.
"So you have the ability to just change skin types? Like rock or dirt or something? Or is it limited to steel?" Arion asked. He gestured to the steel teenager's body, with a raised eyebrow. "As far as I know, that isn't even physically possible. Is it fake? Like some really well wrapped aluminium foil or something?"
((Oh, Americans say Aluminum or something, but here in Australia, following UK, we say Aluminium.))
Blake was taken aback by the flood of questions that the young man was asking. He paused for a moment and looked down at his hands. "K bro, slow it up, k?" He said. "I am gonna try to answer dis best I can, ya see. I can't jus change ta rock or dirt or somethin'. It is limitied ta metal. It is physicly possible. I jus' did it, ya know? Watch dis." With that, Blake turned to the burning building behind him and turned his arm and forearm to steel. He punched the wall, dealing enough damage to leave a crack but not enough to dislodge any shrapnel. He showed his hand to the guy who had asked him all the questions. "See, not a scratch on me, ya hear?" He said. Danny looked at the group, "Hey, we should probably step away from the burning building before it collapses guys."

Backstory : "Damn. School day." Was what Calvin said as he stood, looking into his bathroom mirror. He adjusted the last bit of hair he'd liked, and slipped into his jeans, T-shirt, and button-up. Though, he liked leaving it undone. He grabbed his bag, kissed his mom goodbye, and ran towards the bus stop. As soon as he got on, he sat beside his senior friend, Kelly. She hugged him, and began small-talk until they arrived at the school. They went their separate ways, and Calvin began his 1st period english class. He moved to math next. Then, to science. He sat in science class, scribbling down notes onto his paper. He kept getting this strange headache, and had to put the pencil down every few minutes. He then raised his hand. "Mr. Godferson, I think I need to-.. I need-... I.." Was all he got out, before he collapsed against the wall beside him. When he awoke, he noticed something. The teacher was missing, along with a few other students. The other students in the room were all standing, and looking around frantically. Then one of them appeared to wave the group on, and they followed. He tried yelling. "Wait-! Wait for me!" But he couldn't stand quick enough, and the door slammed shut. He glanced to the window. Something shot by.. was he hallucinating? No, that was indeed fire! A ball of fire flew at the window, and broke it, spewing flames inside. He got up as quickly as he could, grabbed his cellphone, and sprinted out of the classroom. He ended up slamming into a student, who immediately turned on him. He grabbed him by his shirt, and blasted him backwards with some sort of kinetic force. Calvin stood up, and shot forwards. His head pounded a bit as he attempted tackling the boy, and eventually he felt a coolness shoot through him, and the other boy convulsed. Cal felt, different. He punched a locker, and it bent inwards. "What the-..?" He thought for a moment. Hm. This could be interesting. He then ran for the doors of the school, to meet whatever awaited him outside.

Whatever I just said, I didn't mean any offense. Unless we're fighting, in which case I probably did.
If I said something was a joke when it didn't seem like one, I'm making an excuse to avoid an argument I know is coming. Instead of telling me how not funny I am and how it didn't seem like a joke at all, just go along with it. Because flame wars suck and nobody wants to be a part of one.
