Exhausted from her use of magic, Callandra knew that the fight had to end before she collapsed. She sighed, apparently Elspeth didn't think so as he seemed to appear around her swinging his scimitars in an almost feral way. Paler than usual, she winced as more cuts graced her arms. Steeling her pride, she raised her dagger shakily, "I concede. Well done."
Arthur thought about what Niv had said about a fight tonight, it seemed that they would be attacked by the chaos armies. Just because of that reason it would be best to rest rather than waste mana training. He thought that training would make him tired again which would not be good when the attack comes. Niv also mentioned that Zack had a plan, this led Arthur to believe that Zack was the man in charge. He wondered what this special plan was, perhaps the plan would be able to stop the chaos army in their tracks. He smiled slightly at this thought, however he didn't know the plan nor if it would work. His smile faded before he turned to Niv, "I think it would be best to rest, save our strength for the attack" he said in a serious tone. Niv had said that the numbers have been increasing in the attacks. He wondered how long it would be until they sent their entire army. Niv had said they were testing their limits, surely with the new recruits they would be able to stop more of the army than before. As to just how much more they could stop, Arthur didn't know. He didn't know what the other recruit could do, or if any more had showed up after himself or just how many nephalem were at this castle. He just hoped that they could stop the attack tonight.
Elspeth showed no signs of quite understanding what was said, he seemed in a complete beast mode of sorts. He appeared, both blades coming in for a fatal strike. Suddenly a flash of lightning hit the ground, and when the dust cleared Zack stood, his blades clashing with Elspeths. Zack ducked, spinning and tripping Elspeth onto his back. "What did I tell you about that! You have to stay under CONTROL!" Zack yelled at Elspeth, who immediately got up and tried attacking Zack. Their blades clashed, when Zacks suddenly lit up with electricity, giving Elspeth a bad shock as he stumbled backwards before falling. He laid there, alive, but kind of unconscious. He turned to Callandra. "Are you ok?" He said.
Niv smiled. "When Zack has a plan.. It's usually bad for the enemy. I've only seen him truly fight once. It was scary, and the enemy was running away after a few minutes. The issue is none of them managed to actually get away." He said, noticing Zack flashing over to the pit where Callandra was fighting. "Another Elspeth rage mode? That guy needs to chill. He accidentally killed a few soldiers yesterday."
Arthur heard some shouting coming from the pit where the other recruit was sparring with Elspeth. From the sound of it, Elspeth had lost control, probably over his power, and it required someone to intervene. He took a few steps closer to the pit. Suddenly he was very glad that he had chosen to spar with Niv, he seemed to have more control than Elspeth. It seemed that Elspeth had trouble keeping himself under control under battle conditions, to the point where another nephalem had to appear in the pit to stop the sparring match. Whoever they were they appeared to be very powerful, able to stop Elspeth in rage mode. According to Niv, Elspeth had accientally killed a few soldiers. Niv had also given a short description of Zack fighting, he sounded like someone that should not be crossed. The powerful person that stopped the sparring match also seemed to be someone not to be crossed, leading Arthur to believe that the person might be Zack. "Would that be Zack?" Arthur asked, pointing to the person who stopped the sparring match, he vaguely recognised him to be the person that took his application. He was glad that they were on the same side as him, he would not want to have to face such a person in battle.

Callandra scrambled back when the lightning hit, watching what was happening with wide eyes. She noticed with relief that Elspeth was still breathing when he hit the ground and didn't get back up. "I'm fine," She replied quickly, "Nothing that can't be fixed." Wincing, she got to her feet and slowly sheathed her dagger. She met Zack's eyes, "Thank you." She murmured. Callandra was surprised that Zack had reacted so strongly, but then again Elspeth had almost killed her. Suddenly, she was definitely glad that Zack was on their side, he seemed powerful and she knew by watching him that he probably wasn't new to this. She wondered how the other recruits were doing, hoping that they didn't have as much trouble as she did in the sparring ring. Running her palms down her cloak, she glanced at Elspeth. "Is he[/i] ok?"
"Crud," I thought pessimistically as my magic did absolutely nothing to him. "What to do, what to do... my machete didn't work, my magic didn't work. All I can really do now is try my best to hit him any way I can." I ran towards him again, my machete in my right hand and my other hand open. As I approached him, I swung my blade downward as fast as I could in an attempt to slash Tezzeret. Admittedly, I had my doubts that it would work, but I had to try something.

"We must call for aid! Executor, bring out the Reavers! ... What? What do you mean we don't have reavers anymore? Then... send the Dragoons! ... Ugh, then what do you suggest? ... What's a Void Ray?!" -Tassadar, Savior of the Templar
Niv sighed. "Should be night fall soon.. Can't wait to hear Zacks plan." He said.
Zack smiled at Callandra. "He's fine. I didn't use near enough voltage to kill him. He's just uh.. Paralyzed for the moment. My strongest voltage would've cooked him alive." He said in a fairly upbeat voice. "So you did fantastic, considering Elspeth is known to uh.. Not be so nice with people."
Tezzeret had anticipated another attack, based on observations of the opponents disdain for not being able to cast magic. Admittedly, he should be easier, but he didn't quite feel like it. He had to always win. Tezzeret the Seeker doesn't lose. He blocked the incoming swing like last time with his left hand, bringing his knee up aiming to hit Neo in the chest. If this attack succeeded he would bring down his right elbow to hit Neo in the back of the head (After he bent over from the blow to the stomach, of course) causing him to most likely fall flat on the ground.
"You didn't answer my question, is that Zack?" Arthur asked. Niv had said that night was coming and that Zack would reveal his plan. He wondered what Zack had planned. Arthur glanced up at the sky, taking note that night was approaching and with it an attack by the chaos army according to what he had been told. He would probably be called upon to help with defending the castle, as would the other recruit if they were accepted and whoever else was here. He was unsure of just how much help he could be, he wasn't as trained as the others but he still knew how to use his power. He wondered how the attack would go, it probably would be hard. Arthur had his own strategy for the attack, keep the enemy at a distance. His powers can be used to push opponents away, and if they are at a distance they couldn't hit him with swords and the like. However he would trust Zack's plan, seeing how he would have more experience than Arthur. He doubted that defending from the attack would be very easy. However the others were powerful, this sort of balanced out the difficulty of defending. Arthur hoped that the defending would go well and that they would eb able to stop the attack.
((Ronin, mostly waiting on you. I try to gap posts around 2 people, but can't wait any longer. Please reply soon so we can actually continue.))
"Huh? Oh, I'm sorry. Yes, that's our General. Zack Unisaki, youngest member of the circle of magi, the lightning mage." He said, smiling. "They say when this beautiful castle first came under siege, that he single handed drove the enemy back. That's why I believe we can win this war." Niv said.
((Sorry, I just haven't been able to think of a way to move forward in this battle, and right now my brain feels kinda fried.))

((If it makes you feel any better, nobody else has won thus yet. I didn't necessarily plan for everyone to lose, but it's not bad. There will be much worse battles to come.
I personally think you could've won against Elspeth had you gotten here sooner. Tezzeret is just literally the worse polar opposite match up you could've gotten.))
Arthur nodded when Niv answered his question. The person was Zack and furthermore they were the general, a member of the Circle of Magi and a lightning mage. Arthur was impressed, especially when Niv mentioned that Zack singlehandedly drove back the first siege of the castle. Arthur was very glad that Zack was on their side, Niv had said that he believed that with Zack they might be able to win the war. He certainly seemed powerful, being able to stop Elspeth's rage mode. Niv had said earlier that Zack was going to reveal his plan, Arthur wondered where he would fit into the plan if indeed he did have a part to play. He knew that without a plan, the attack would probably not go as well. He was best at keeping the enemy at a distance, his psychic energy was best used to send opponents flying backwards, but only when he used it correctly. Sometimes it didn't work as well. His most powerful attack was the orb as the energy was most condensed in that form, a pulse was more accurate but the energy was spread out and didn't cause as much damage as the orb, not that the orb did heaps of damage either. The pulse was the only attack that had any effect on Niv, if only because he what appeared to be spent a lot of energy trying to block it. Arthur could make sheilds too, they were what made him last as long as he did in the sparring match. Returning to reality, Arthur asked "Do you think there would be a part for me in Zack's plan?"

Callandra frowned slightly, looking at where the lightning hit. "Looks like it's pretty powerful then. I hope Elspeth doesn't hold grudges, for all of our sakes." Elspeth tended not to be so nice with people? She was starting to see why. "I've never seen anything like that." Callandra went to rest her hand on the hilt of her daggers out of reflex and was almost surprised to see that only one was there. Having forgotten about the other one. She gestured at her dagger, still wedged in Elspeth's thigh, "So, when can I get that back? I assume you don't want me to just yank it out." She hesitated, "Although I could do that."
((Due to inactivity and holding back of the RP for nearly a week, Ronin, you are hereby removed from the RP until such a time that you contact me and discuss with me what is happening. Do not post until then. Your character will be put in a comatose state, and upon your request may be killed.))
Tezzerets blow landed Neo straight on the ground, and without thinking, his instincts caused him to drop and land an elbow on the back of Neos neck, causing him to cough of blood. Upon no response, Tezzeret called for a nurse who escorted Neo away. He walked out of the pit and started his way out onto the grounds, looking for Zack.
Niv laughed. "Zack? Haha, either it'll be a master strategy for everyone, or it'll be something absolutely ridiculous for those extremely skilled. He's a good general, don't take that the wrong way, it's just that he has some crazy ideas sometimes. Although they normally work.." He trailed off into thought, seeming a little sad.
Zack shrugged. He walked over to the body, grabbing the knife. Electricity arched through the knife as he pulled it out, cauterizing the wound as it slid out. Elspeth grunted in pain, but still seemed pretty knocked out. He flipped it in his hand, catching it by the blade and motioning with the handle for Callandra to take it. "Night is falling, we better get ready. I've got something incredibly stupid planned." He said, smiling.
Arthur was slightly disheartened by Niv's uncertain response, it seemed like an equal chance that there would be a part for him in Zack's plan or that it would only be for the highly skilled. He could hardly be classified as highly skilled, but he was far from useless. But if there was not a part for him in Zack's plan then he could stay out of the line of fire, which might actually be a good thing. However he would want to help defend in any way he could. He glanced up at the sky, night would fall soon and with it an attack. Arthur wondered how much help he could be in the attack. With night fast approaching, Arthur figured that Zack would reveal his mysterious plan. Niv seemed to have a lot of confidence in Zack but he did say that he so etimes had crazy ideas. He also said that they normall work, normally. That meant that sometimes they didn't, Zack seemed to be a good general if a bit eccentric. Arthur was filled with anticipation to hear the plan, but he had some doubts as to if he had a part in it or not. He had only arrived recently and he didn't even know if Zack knew of his ability. Did he have enough time to come up with a part for him or would he be left out? There was only one way to find out, wait until Zack revealed his plan. "When do we go and hear about the plan?" he asked.

Callandra watched unflinchingly as Zack took out the blade. She took the dagger back and examined it quickly before wiping each side against her leg and sheathing it. She would have to clean them better later. Now slightly more relaxed with the familiar weight resting on her hip, she wondered how much time they really had, and when everything would start. When the armies and death would come. Her thoughts drifted to the past, her town, her family, burned an- No, she pushed those thoughts away, she couldn't afford thinking like that. Not now. Zack's voice brought her back to the present and she smirked. "Stupid plans are often the ones that our enemies don't expect." She gestured to him. "Lead the way, General."
"Well.. Seeing how the recruiting for today is done, probably around now." Niv said, standing and walking in the direction of Zack, out into the open area in the middle of the castle.
Zack laughed. "Yeah, that's true. It's stupid although it's.. Logical. I just hope the enemy reacts how I hope. Also, just call me Zack. You guys aren't infantry." He said, walking out to the open field. There was much work going on as people carried logs, stones, bricks, and ammunition to various places. The sun was only moments from being below the horizon line, and the artillery was firing much more rapid than before - The attack was inevitably coming soon. Zack raised his hand to the sky, and a large bolt of electricity shot up into the clouds, parting them for a moment. Everyone stopped what they were doing and began to gather in a circle around Zack. Tezzeret was already there.
Arthur was happy with Niv's responce, now was the time to hear the plan for how they were going to defend against an attack. He had looked away for just a moment was was surprised when Niv had started walking somewhere already. Arthur jogged to catach up with Niv only to stop suddenly when he saw a lightning bolt shoot up to the sky, not down from it but up to it. It was surprising to say the least. It took a moment for Arthur to recover his composure and continue moving towards what appeared to be meeting of some sort. A number of people were gathered in a cirlce around someone. Anticipation filled Arthur as he neared the meeting, soon he would find out what the plan was and what part he could play. He doubted that the upcoming battle would be easy, but with a plan at least it would be feasible. Arthur had reached the edge of the circle and now recognised the man in the centre of the circle to be Zack. Arthur looked around, vaguely recognising Tezzeret. Impatience mixed with the anticipation in Arthur, he wanted to know the plan as soon as possible. He waited, shifting from foot to foot, a clear sign of his impatience.

Callandra nodded and followed Zack out, eager to hear the plan. She looked around at all the people working, impressed how organized they were with the looming threat of the oncoming attack. Callandra glanced up at the lightning that shot from Zack's hand, only slightly fazed. She realized that these people must really respect him, halting everything to gather around. She understood the respect, a general that no one listened to, that would be a problem. Callandra glanced at the faces waiting, only seeing a few that were familiar. She considered staying where she was and not drawing attention to herself, but instead she went to go stand by the other recruit and his sparring partner, which she remembered from earlier. Noticing the sun going down, she said a quick prayer under her breath that her father taught her when she was small. For both the sun to return and good fortune for the coming events.
Zack smirked. "So everyone has been waiting.. And well, I've thought for a while. The enemy has been sending increasing waves each night as their numbers rise, attempting to both sample our defenses and to wear us down. Last night they got pretty close to getting in, and we lost many men. To them, if tonight goes the same way, you can bet they'll siege tomorrow. This is something we need to avoid, to build up more and train our new recruits. So tonight, to prove our power, I will be the only person to attack. I will kill each and every one of them by myself." Zack said in a calm and calculated voice. Immediately many people broke out in talking, mostly things about how Zack has finally lost his mind and will get himself killed. The issue is that no soldier dared really speak out, despite the fact that everyone thought this to be a bad idea. Zack seemed fairly satisfied with himself, obviously feeling too much pride to be safe. The sun dipped beyond the horizon and a horn blew, the war horn of the enemy. Only seconds remained. Zack turned and began walking to the gate.
Niv smiled. "When Zack has a plan.. It's usually bad for the enemy. I've only seen him truly fight once. It was scary, and the enemy was running away after a few minutes.
