You know, I feel like someone should have a "DTG: The Godmodding Wars" forum game, which would basically be a deathmatch where everyone is a godmodder with near-infinite power (as in the OP scale broke and its crazy time levels of power).
We already have that as well. Well, almost that anyways. Not explicitly Godmodders fighting, but it is genuine PvP, so it's as close as we're gonna get, and as a bonus, the fights will actually be resolved in a timely manner!
You do have to join the Terraria and build up some Alchemies, but it can be enjoyable. Well, it CAN be being the keyword. Of course, I find the Terraria Session to be a bit underloved in general when it has some serious potential and a small, but definitely dedicated playerbase.
So lately, I've been making another series of drawings for DTG2 - but they're not going to be a storypost. After extensive discussion of the subject on the DTG2 memo a few months ago, I've started work on a set of DTG2 tarot cards! Each card will represent a different character/characters from the game, portrayed in a similar way to the actual tarot card. A lot of thought went into deciding who's on what cards, and hopefully you all enjoy what we've come up with!
So far, one card has been finished, and three are in progress - the three in progress are the Emperor (the Godmodder), Wheel of Fortune (Bill Cipher and the Homestuck Kids), and the Moon (Talist and Wilson).
The finished card is...
In the eye of the Trifecta, the Arcana reveals both hero and villain. From the Tower comes forth unimaginable evil. Crafted by higher beings, the Tower is sent down to earth as a malevolent omen, a harbinger of destruction and doom. Not many will survive the Tower's wrath, but those who withstand its unstoppable change will leave reborn.
Cool, huh? Pretty much all of the cards will be in a high-quality format such as this. Let me know what you all think!
I thought Richard was Strength, since he's so obsessed with proving it. I'm Justice, Engie's Tower, and someone who is on a journey is Fool.
Let's use the meaning that ISN'T insulting, guys.
First off, major DTG2 characters. You basically have next-to-no relevance in DTG2 for deciding to join that late (same with Bomber57, sadly). Hence, most of them have been playing a lot longer than you have, or had. I think I might be the 'youngest' player who has a Tarot (I'm the Chariot), possibly second to Crystal (The Magician?) and I've played for half of the game's lifespan and definitely over a year. And really, what have you done to gain relevance? Toss about a few speeches? You've done very little beyond toss about speeches and make Video game References in DTG2, and let's face facts, everyone makes references in DTG. Contrast, while not currently here, Minor107 is important enough to register as one of the Twelve Ancestors (pretty much automatically on a card), and discovered the Black Monolith and had quite the journey to undertake. Truly worthy of the Fool and it's infinite potential. I think Twin had a complete list of who's who.
Third and finally, though wholly unrelated, I suggest you take the fact you have an MC Avatar for a body right now and jump back into the game to kill your body so you can take it back (though this will have absolutely 0 effect on your power), because I'm going to pre-emptively warn you: IF Metamorphosis completes its charge, among other things, you're not getting your old body back. Period. You DID leave it to the free possession of...Certain entities.
EDIT: We're going by the meaning of the cards here, guys, not just the pretty images. Though I would switch some around given certain developments.
I think the full list is...
0: Minor
1: Crystal
2: GLaDOS
3: UserZero
4: Richard
5: Pit (you're the Heirophant apparently)
6: Blue/Engie (alternatively Modpack/HIM/Modpack!Chaos due to Fseftr REALLY disliking the implications)

I had to.
I had to remove the green light. Hey, it was taking up a whole 3 colors. And when .gifs only have 256, 3 colors are valuable. I have a higher quality .mp4 version, but uploading it to the internet is difficult. The file is either MASSIVE or horribly compressed.
This is probably meaningless, but written on the side are some symbols. They are "&, ^, (the ? and ! marks combined), /, #, ÷, ♦, (the two conjoined crosses symbol), and (the mathematical three stars symbol used for "Therefor"). You can probably see them on the original card better than I can describe them.
As for the future cards, I'm so flattered that I'm apparently going to be the first player card. Also, on the DTG forums Tabbune wanted to try and make a card game adaptation. http://s15.zetaboards.com/DTG_Forums/topic/8111318/1/

Correct list, Tazz. I was part of the group who hashed these out, and still have the old link to the pad.
We mainly used the old usage of the cards, rather than their superficial names - for example, Kalare Erelye routinely dealt/deals with eldritch entities, which obviously requires great personal sacrifice, and always sought knowledge through it all. Therefore, he is the Hanged Man, a card which deals with self-sacrifice for the sake of knowledge and insight. Similarly, the Emperor is a card which deals with the desire for control, as well as power and the desire for it. Richard quite obviously fits this, both as a Omega+ Godmodder and as the self we see him as in DTG0. Plus, when have we not seen him ruling over the players in at least some aspect - either rallying Anti-Zero players in 0 or trapping every player in the world in GodCraft.

Also being a member of the group which hashed these out, I can safely hand out the initial link. I won't, just in case, but it might be needed.
As for Crusher, more likely than not, yes. Your faction's essential goals are ostensibly quite impossible without messing around with excessive amounts of paradoxes.

This is the official list as of right now (bar The Lovers, which is undecided.) I was planning to keep these cards a secret as I slowly uploaded and unveiled each card, but it doesn't matter much. It's fine that you uploaded the list now, if only to prevent arguments in the future. FBSN, I'm sorry that you're not on a card, but you're not exactly relevant enough to be on one, and this list was decided months ago.
The people who were chosen for each role were done so based on the classical interpretations of the cards, not just because of their names. Richard wouldn't be Strength just based on the fact that he focuses on strength. For example, Project Binary is the Tower card because that card signifies change, usually destructive in nature. It also signifies an omen - a warning to come. However, he is also the Tower because he is literally at the bottom of a tower.
One last note: this deck is based entirely around DTG2 characters with the exception of UserZero. I'm not changing any of these cards to include DTG0 characters.

Ciphertext at the bottom of Twin's post is "NOTHING IS MEANINGLESS. THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS COINCIDENCE. FIND THE PATTERNS. FIND THE ANOMALIES. UNLOCK THE CODE. UNLOCK THE GATE."
As a side note, Talist, that animation is absolutely amazing.

About player HP: if we remove it what about players that wish to remain with that? They will be forever vulnerable? Do they gain any advantage in remaining vulnerable?
About player HP: if we remove it what about players that wish to remain with that? They will be forever vulnerable? Do they gain any advantage in remaining vulnerable?
In a roundabout way, yes. You can use a 50 post charge to give yourself a leveling system that makes you stronger in whatever way. In exchange, you have to be vulnerable. Tazz would know more about the specifics than I do.
And about the tarot cards...
That animation took me... about 2 and a half hours in After Effects? Although, if I knew what I wanted to do going in, I could have finished it in about 45 minutes. A lot of that time was me faffing about trying to figure out how to make the static in the background look halfway decent. I did figure out a new technique to make the fire loop better though.
I'm probably going to animate every tarot card Twin makes. I enjoy making these animations and I haven't had anything to animate recently.
Finally... it would probably be easier to find a replacement for the Moon rather than the Lovers, right? So if Blue really doesn't want to be on the Lovers card, I'll take it. Although, Twin might not want that because it has more to do with DTG0 and TvT2 than DTG2. It's not going to be applicable if Twin wants only DTG2 characters.
As for symbols... maybe it translates into "and power (something) or the number of gem fragments (something) therefor." ... uh... That's probably not going anywhere.
Tazz, and Twin, I don't think you understood what I was saying. I'm justice. Not necessarily the DTG representative of Justice, but that is my Tarot symbol.
It appears literally everything I do leads to people thinking I'm trying to force myself into the ranks of relevancy. Again, I'm not. I was just trying to give some ideas.
For the 3rd point, thank you for letting me know. Now I think I have the right to be angry.
I used the Dangerous Forbidden Technique and lost control of my body for a long time. A combination of turns being extended from 1 to 2 days each and general players ignoring my body in favor of the boss and Godmodder that have spawned onto the field. I did this in exchange for 6 super powered attacks that didn't do as much as I hoped they would.
Here's where I get angry. My body is an integral part of my story over the course of DTG0. You've hijacked my body for the reason that it was too easy to beat without buffs. Because of this, you've made it easier to take my body down via waiting it out. Not only that, but you've made it so I can lose access to my body.
In short, you've changed the game. So, I'm coming in at full power in a couple of turns. I need my body for what I'm doing in DTG0, so I'm dealing with this here and now.
Well, you can certainly be a Justice tarot, but you're not going to be on THE Justice Card for DTG2.
Can I remind you that this isn't an RP? In all truth, I have 0% responsibility for screwing with your RP through game-play antics. You deliberately took a risk by putting out an entity there. If you wanted it to NOT get out of control, well, you took that risk. You nearly lost it with Transcendent Dora in terms of Elizabeth; you really ARE losing now, unless you can get everyone to focus-fire on your body.
Everyone kind of thinks you're looking for relevance for a few reasons: YOU SHOUT ALMOST EVERY SENTENCE WITH AT LEAST FOUR TEXT EFFECTS AT ONCE, WHICH IS THE MOST ATTENTION-GRABBING AND ANNOYING-TO-READ THING EVER. And that is skipping the times you've gone for even MORE attention-grabbing and overly-colorful. If that wasn't enough, make REALLY long speeches that basically no-one reads, keep shoving morals and such down other people's throats unnecessarily and irritatingly (not everyone agrees with your good-guy mindset! This is DTG, son, it's pretty morally gray all-around) and your few actions draw into what could ONLY ever be interpreted as an overload of power (re: Your attempt to kill Charles Barkley)-and while that ridiculous level of power is more or less standard in DTG, you keep going about it like you're actually showing off. Indeed, just in this post you talked about how you're coming in 'full power' to attack UserZero. So yeah, I at least think you ARE trying to grab undue relevance, even if you don't acknowledge it.
As for Star's Body: I did NOT buff it, I changed the planned patterns because you basically REVEALED said weaknesses to said plans (that is basically all I could say-I did it in response to your 'hint' poem, and by 'hint' I mean 'yeah I'll just reveal how to beat him now,') and UserZero wasn't going to let it have a zone to itself (NO ZONE MECHANICS). It wouldn't take TOO much creativity to figure out how to kill him-just brute forcing it is always an option with enough creativity, and since I gave you a loophole to your own mortality, this meant I had to include you. Of course, no-one is killing it. At all. With that in mind, that's 45 turns of just waiting-possibly toned down to 30 because then it's not invincible. That's FAR too strong, believe it or not. I DO judge entity summons based on how strong they are straight up, and nothing else (your allegiance is an irrelevant factor in this) meaning you got a 50-post worth's buff for six attacks, THEN a 50-post charge entity, for a measely 30 charges, and the biggest downside was self-imposed as I allowed you to cheat your own 'death' through your MC avatar's existence. And wouldn't you know it, the MC Avatar is basically your old body full power, making losing your body technically irrelevant from a gameplay standpoint.
Basically, contrary to your belief, that's extremely generous.
And as for your plot...My question is, why can't you use this as the basis for something else instead of just rejecting it? I'd say losing your body in such a permanent manner is a very good reason why you should take the fight against UserZero more personally and base your summons around trying to get it back, or something. Really, as far as player RPs go-and this isn't even an RP game, again, this is a game where people wind up RPing-I'm kind of aggravated why people just can't wrap their head around the simple concept of plot flexibility. While it is certainly aggravating to have characters die or otherwise have plots go arwy, are you really going to ragequit over that, of all things? It's so hilariously minor that I find the idea of people ragequitting over a soiled RP ridiculous on its face at times. Sure, I'd be super-angry if all of my characters died for no justifiable reason whatsoever, but you're raging because I've put a timer on your entity's existence, an entity that's stuck around far too long for its own good. My unofficial motto for every RP is "Plan for the Derailment of the Plan." If someone kills off your character, make a new one (and maybe plot revenge). If you lose the MacGuffin, plan on how you're going to get it back. And so on.
And can I again remind you that this isn't an RP? Because it isn't.
About player HP: if we remove it what about players that wish to remain with that? They will be forever vulnerable? Do they gain any advantage in remaining vulnerable?
Removing Player HP won't remove player vulnerability entirely. If you're giong to make a leveling system or some-such like Walker has or others, then you can turn that back on as the cost for such.

If this is the case, i'd likely end up as The Sun. Considering my goddess and main affiliated element, this makes a lot of sense.
First off, major DTG2 characters. You basically have next-to-no relevance in DTG2 for deciding to join that late (same with Bomber57, sadly). Hence, most of them have been playing a lot longer than you have, or had.
Removing Player HP won't remove player vulnerability entirely. If you're giong to make a leveling system or some-such like Walker has or others, then you can turn that back on as the cost for such.
