Why is there a rule against double-posting? I still do not understand why a second post is invalidated purely because no one posted in between the other 2 posts. It does seem to be open to abuse (if your post ends up between the 2 posts of someone else, if you /null and repost he loses one of his posts).

To be honest, it's sort of a leftover rule from back in DTG1 when there was no post limit. But it's to prevent people from making two posts in the span of minutes. Also, I don't believe that situation counts. I think you can make an action post, have someone else make a null post, then you make another action post.
"How it works is that you get in line while me and some other nerds that I wrangled up summon all the bosses forever because apparently nobody else has been making concentrated efforts to get people together on a cause, and as such Tazz's teamwork mechanics are kind of working against his intents, probably."
...In all seriousness, it's a fairly simple concept.
Gather yourself and one or more people who are interested in a concept/character/etc. and want to summon them.
Work out the stats and such, because that's clearly an important part of this.
Start the charges for the boss at the same time, and keep them synced up well enough that you can get them all out in the span of a turn or two.

Yeah, plans are in the works. Although... Hmm. You could join if one of our other members flakes for whatever reason. Or you could contribute a charge, but not your... well, you'll have to wait and see.
It sounds interesting but I am already juggling casual work, 3 DTGs (including Chaos, where I always seem to f things up for ire; sorry ire kek), an RP or two and school (not to mention having some free time on between for sanity). I doubt I'll have any creative energies left after all that, let alone regular energy.
Would anyone be interested in an ultra-hard version of DTG based on Acolyte: no invulnerablity, an item system, but no chance of entities automatically blocking attacks directed towards you, bosses being rare and AG bosses being nonexistent and entity advantage mattering alot with only one mercy.
You're fighting a Gamma instead of an Omega Plus, meaning you have to deal 50HP instead of 100+.
I probably shouldn't be running it, since I joined about a month ago, but I'd still like to pitch the idea.
As I mentioned in the interview, I think a DTG "SUPER HARD MODE" would be interesting as the series is ripe with possibility, though I'm not sure about basing it on Acolyte...
The question is: will there ever be a DTG 3, or will the DTG community join Valve in being unable to count to 3.
(Currently, signs point to yes, but who knows?)
Contrary to your expectations...Currently, signs point to no, and VERY solidly, barring a series of miracles. And not because we wouldn't ALL want a DTG3, but because no-one seems to want to GM DTG3. The few who showed interest either couldn't really make the time or couldn't really fit the expectations of the GM's roll-and I barely can GM DTG0. Unless, counting it as the 3rd DTG game released on the main game series, you constitute DTG0 as DTG3, there is probably not going to be a DTG3.
Granted, any attempts to make one are ones I'd fully support, assuming whoever's up to the task is up to the par, as while we're not looking for anything to top DTG2's stupidly huge scale (indeed, Twin tried WAAAAAAAY too hard at that and he admitted it caused problems), we ARE looking for people who can, well, spell properly.
Yeah, it might be better to base it on raw DTG. Proposed features:
No invincibility, like the Trials and a short period after the death of Charles Barkley.
Unlike Acolyte, you have a high chance of being hit.
A small amount of PG Enemies spawn every turn.
Entity advantage requirement to even try to hit the godmodder.
The Alchemiter only allows Level 0 - 2 alchemies.
Bosses can and will sweep the field.
The godmodder will sweep the field if AG looks like they have too big of an advantage.
Godmodders in general are buffed. Yes, this means that more then one may appear.
50HP and a Gamma instead of 100HP+ and an Omega Plus.
No AG bosses, not like they're common.
My idea of Super Hard is very, very cruel. Any ideas to tone it up or down?
At least we're on our third game, even if it's a prequel, and it came out eight days after the second finished. Valve haven't revealed a sequel for about seven years.
That is absolutely brilliantly cruel, though generally the Godmodder gets tougher if the AG advantage gets worse (It's usually AG-the fact there are two godmodders this go-around makes the AZ/GS/PZ distinctions). Also, DTG0 is the first time there has been more than one godmodder on the field being a key gameplay element-DTG1 and DTG2 were both singular fights against Richard, the Omega Plus.
I wasn't even awake when the the Serial Escalation jokes were posted, but we probably should have took it to the forge. Since we're on the forge now, we might as well continue discussing. I bet that next DTG's first boss will have somewhere from 1,000,000 to 1,500,000 health, since the Conglomerate had around 800,000.
That is an absolutely genius idea. It be absolutely fun to watch. Even better, go for Sufficient Velocity. The GS would be strong over there.
The Colegmerate (yes, it's spelled in an improper manner) only had roughly 2500,00K HP to honestly chew through if you focused on it hard enough, technically-it was too frail for it and the next bosses got a lot tankier, though Barkley still went down slightly faster than I wanted (though getting his absurd instant kill properties out of the way was probably for the best). As for the Chief, you could easily chew through his HP a lot faster if you attacked his Hat, which protected him from the Sun that would have burned him for, say, 100K damage a turn, which is pretty powerful. Twitchy is probably the first boss I REALLY designed to be straight-up tanky, and she's a Gatekeeper so that's for good measure.
That being said, I love the idea of the numbers just getting bigger with each game, as long as the damage values went up accordingly. Mind, going too big in scope (specifically plot scope) was DTG2's biggest issue, and it brought a host of problems with it.

It also makes the armor system more effective, if what Tazz said about the effect of the 1 armor i placed on fredbear is any indication.

Oh man.
Okay, I found the Ancestor page on the DTG Wiki. As I was reading it, I was thinking; "Man, how cool would it be for them all to be in like a poster-style artwork?"
Since I SUCK at art, I'm proposing an idea for the pic.
Silhouetted versions of the AG Ancestors at the bottom, silhouetted and slightly transparent versions of the PG Ancestors above them, and the PSI Godmodder at the top. Think of the design like the Troll Ancestors from Homestuck.
No one has to actually make it, it's just an idea.

If I remember correctly, Twitchy is a glitched Pokemon?
People say "There is a city there, and it will stay there until time stops" hearts filled with bleak hope that it be so...
And indeed, it may be, as even the void has not moved it from its rightful place...

There's a difference between a hero and a champion. A champion overcomes threats, but a hero overcomes fears.

Then there's also a Youtube channel I'm somewhat involved in.
You're both right, I think. Twitchy is the Aurin Esper exposed to the Twitch Hivemind merged with Skarmory.

Oh yeah and uh. Plans are in the works for Photoshop Flowey. Don't think there's much room if that's your aim.

Hmm. If the numbers are getting too big, perhaps it's time to escalate things in a different way.
Start producing more entities with player-health mechanics, as in they have low health and take accordingly low damage to said low health.
