My action: I fire my shotgun at the ground. The shot burrows deep underground, through the earth's core, and emerges on the other side of the planet. It then curves around the planet and hits the elite grunt in the back of the head, killing him!

You all pass through the gate and begin your descent. After passing through a damp tunnel, you find yourselves on a walkway. Looking over the edge, you see countless transport vehicles carrying prismstone, plasteel, and several other kinds of materials and resources.
Bacon: We're gonna have a field day looting this place.
Gold: I found something already.
Gold has found a large storage container, filled with credits, shipping locations to major Coalition facilities, and a little prismstone.
For opening the gate, you receive 500 credits, 100 intel, and 30 prismstone!
With your newfound loot in hand, you continue to traverse the Prism Chamber, avoiding the detection of the countless guards. Eventually, you come to a wide open area, nearly completely empty except for the mysterious glowing devices floating above their sockets on the ground.
Directly across from you is the door, but it's blocked by a strange, horrific creature. It seems to be a fusion of flesh and machine, wielding a large rifle. The glowing devices seem to be empowering it, as evidenced by the flickering beams connecting the devices to the creature.
Fear: We need to find a way past this thing.
Bio makes an ill-advised decision to shoot the creature. The shot bounces harmlessly off the entity. Its head raises to look at you, but it does not move. You gaze into its unblinking, deep purple eyes for a moment.
Bio: I guess it has something to do with those devices. Maybe if we destroy them, it'll move?
Miner: They're shielded. We're not gonna be able to shoot them.
Fourteen: Then we use heavier ordnance.
Bio pulls some breaching charges from his backpack.
Bio: Good thing Marshall gave us these.
Gold: We should take a minute to prepare. They're definitely not going to stand around while we blow their things up.

I make a giant snowball, get on top of it, and roll it towards the Crackshot Grunt like Blizzard Midbus does during one of his/her attacks. I then take cover near Fear.

Is Dynamite with a Laser Beam charging, or did the last bullet of my overwatch burst miss? Or does it charge differently in some way now that it's a burst weapon?
I spend my turn getting into cover and attempting to clean out my eyes. I also buy a flamethrower and some Instant Tree Seeds. Because that worked well so far!

You run over to the north plate and fire at the elite grunt, but miss! However, you are contesting the plate!
You fire at the elite grunt for 197 damage, then reload. +12 XP.
You FTL jump into the grunt, dealing 275 damage to him! +15 XP!
My action: I fire my shotgun at the ground. The shot burrows deep underground, through the earth's core, and emerges on the other side of the planet. It then curves around the planet and hits the elite grunt in the back of the head, killing him!

The enemy realizes they failed to defend the gate, and retreats to fight another day.
As the enemies retreat, you watch as the gate to the Prism Chamber opens.
Bio: I guess this is where the real mission begins...
You all pass through the gate and begin your descent. After passing through a damp tunnel, you find yourselves on a walkway. Looking over the edge, you see countless transport vehicles carrying prismstone, plasteel, and several other kinds of materials and resources.
Bacon: We're gonna have a field day looting this place.
Gold: I found something already.
Gold has found a large storage container, filled with credits, shipping locations to major Coalition facilities, and a little prismstone.
For opening the gate, you receive 500 credits, 100 intel, and 30 prismstone!
With your newfound loot in hand, you continue to traverse the Prism Chamber, avoiding the detection of the countless guards. Eventually, you come to a wide open area, nearly completely empty except for the mysterious glowing devices floating above their sockets on the ground.
Directly across from you is the door, but it's blocked by a strange, horrific creature. It seems to be a fusion of flesh and machine, wielding a large rifle. The glowing devices seem to be empowering it, as evidenced by the flickering beams connecting the devices to the creature.
Fear: We need to find a way past this thing.
Bio makes an ill-advised decision to shoot the creature. The shot bounces harmlessly off the entity. Its head raises to look at you, but it does not move. You gaze into its unblinking, deep purple eyes for a moment.
Bio: I guess it has something to do with those devices. Maybe if we destroy them, it'll move?
Miner: They're shielded. We're not gonna be able to shoot them.
Fourteen: Then we use heavier ordnance.
Bio pulls some breaching charges from his backpack.
Bio: Good thing Marshall gave us these.
Gold: We should take a minute to prepare. They're definitely not going to stand around while we blow their things up.

Handful of MRSA [$50]: Reduces an enemy's damage output by 15%, while increasing the damage they take by 15%. Effect spreads to nearby enemies in a large radius. Lasts 2 turns, and can be reapplied. Enemies will move away from infected, but infected can be pushed toward enemies a short distance.
Robobot Armor [$340]: Has 1.5x the wearer's HP. Allows the wearer to copy an enemy instead of performing a normal action, granting the wearer a unique ability. The ability is lost when the wearer is attacked. Regenerates 7.5% HP per turn (for Robobot armor).
PAMA [$125]: Allows you to take control of an enemy for 3 turns. Can only be used once per mission. Control is lost if submerged in water.
Pogo Hammer [$60]: When held, attacking an enemy will bounce them to another enemy. Doesn't apply when there's only one enemy alive. Has 3 uses.

On the way, I perform an ancient variation of the chicken dance that summons four chickens from an alternate dimension who dance with me. These chickens possess magical healing properties that close wounds on those who stomp upon them. I stomp on one, scattering the other three around the arena, bawking with fear.
There's no kill like overkill.
I check all of the M's on the datapad. Then, I grab a breaching charge and head over to core 2, ready to plant the charge along with everyone else.
You head over to core 1 and prepare.
You head over to core 3 and get ready.
The chickens run around, restoring 70 health to all injured players. +44 XP.
There are no Ms.
You head over to core 2 and get ready.
My action: I eat a bandage. Due to video game logic, which allows food and bandages to instantly seal grievous wounds, I gain 90 HP. I then get ready to fight.

Robobot Armor [$340]: Has 1.5x the wearer's HP. Allows the wearer to copy an enemy instead of performing a normal action, granting the wearer a unique ability. The ability is lost when the wearer is attacked. Regenerates 7.5% HP per turn (for Robobot armor).

I purchase and toss a Creeper Spawn Egg. It lands on the Crackshot Grunt’s head, spawning a Creeper on his head. This does not end well for him/her, as they end up crashing to the ground from the unexpected application of a somewhat hefty amount of weight from the Creeper.
I plant my charge, enter cover, and enter overwatch.
There's no kill like overkill.
I plant (and activate) my charge and enter cover.
You buy and throw a creeper egg, spawning a creeper directly on top of the crackshot grunt!

The other elite grunt runs over to the first ruin core.
The blitz-class RCU activates his flash shield, blinding Gold.

Blue Shell [$120]: Targets the enemy with the highest HP and explodes, dealing your minimum damage to them. Never misses.
Invincibility Candy [$200]: Grants you invincibility for 2 turns and increases your damage dealt to nearby enemies by 50% (stacks with Close and Personal).
Steroids [$100]: Increases your max HP by 200 for the rest of the mission. Sets current HP to 20.
Instant Tree Seeds [$100]: Instantly grows a tree that can be used as high cover. Comes with 2 uses.
Smoke grenade [$40]: Create a cloud of smoke, providing 20 evasion to anyone in the smoke.
Glue Gun [$40]: Reduces target's evasion to 0 for 3 turns.
Flashbang [$40]: Stuns all enemies for 1 turn.
Distraction Disco Ball [$180]: Distracts multiple enemies and gives them -15 evasion.
Determination Bomb [$50]: Use on an ally to fill them with determination, increasing the damage of their next 2 attacks.
Antigrave [$100]: Revives a KO'd player. Can only be used once per wave.
Reinhardt's Shield [$150]: Deploys a shield that protects you and two allies next to you. Can take 1,000 damage before breaking.
Neuralyzer [$75 x enemies affected]: Puts the team in stealth mode.
Splash Potion of Healing [$90]: Heals all units in a radius. WARNING: Will also heal enemies.
Creeper Spawn Egg [$90]: Throw to spawn a creeper that will explode near the nearest unit. WARNING: Has no sense of friend or foe.
Wheelbarrow [$60]: Allows you to move things like turrets and cover around. Moving things halves your speed. 3 uses.
Shovel [$50]: A folding shovel that can dig trenches to create low cover. Can also be used to dig an enemy's grave, since it's also an effective weapon. 4 uses.
Restroom [$250]: Has 350 HP. Acts as mid cover. One person at a time can enter the restroom, transferring all damage they take to the restroom and regenerating 15% of their max HP every turn. You automatically exit after a turn. Does not follow between areas.
Handful of MRSA [$50]: Reduces an enemy's damage output by 15%, while increasing the damage they take by 15%. Effect spreads to nearby enemies in a large radius. Lasts 2 turns, and can be reapplied. Enemies will move away from infected, but infected can be pushed toward enemies a short distance.
Robobot Armor [$340]: Has 1.5x the wearer's HP. Allows the wearer to copy an enemy instead of performing a normal action, granting the wearer a unique ability. The ability is lost when the wearer is attacked. Regenerates 7.5% HP per turn (for Robobot armor).
PAMA [$125]: Allows you to take control of an enemy for 3 turns. Can only be used once per mission. Control is lost if submerged in water.
Pogo Hammer [$60]: When held, attacking an enemy will bounce them to another enemy. Doesn't apply when there's only one enemy alive. Has 3 uses.
Arcane Wii Remote [$90]: Teleport a unit to another tile. Cannot be used on yourself.
Portal Pistol [$90]: Create two interconnected portals on the map, allowing you to move through them as if they were adjacent. Allows deployment of two pairs of portals.
Teleport [$75]: Swap locations with another unit. Comes with two uses.
Card Pack [$110]: Draw five cards, each with their own effects.
EFLN [$40]: Can be used to destroy cover or other structures. WARNING: Do not detonate next to friendly structures.

I make a giant snowball, get on top of it, and roll it towards the Crackshot Grunt like Blizzard Midbus does during one of his/her attacks. I then take cover near Fear.
Is Dynamite with a Laser Beam charging, or did the last bullet of my overwatch burst miss? Or does it charge differently in some way now that it's a burst weapon?
I fire a burst at the crackshot grunt and reload.
I also put H into all the spaces of the datapad.
There's no kill like overkill.
I spend my turn getting into cover and attempting to clean out my eyes. I also buy a flamethrower and some Instant Tree Seeds. Because that worked well so far!
