You sound like you weren't using your brain at all(I wouldn't blame you though, that's what you have to do in order to watch this).SAO has a horrible story(story, not premise),mediocre action for the most part and one-dimensional characters plus some good music to save face.
Romance pretty much stayed to every girl wanting the MC's genitalia.
Overall,I'd say it embodies the "spirit" of a light novel adaptation pretty well.
Yeah that stolen workedintothegrounddead premise sure is awesome.
Congrats on stealing cynicism from reddit. It sure makes it easier to find where you copy/paste your ideas from.
Haven't seen that yet. I have no real opinion on Nagato. I dislike short hair and meganekko, but I like her dandere aspect so I guess it weighs out to neutral, heh.
Hey, guys. Quote me if you want me to respond. Otherwise I'll have no idea what the hell you want with me.

I decided to not make a new thread for my question: what's your favourite One Piece moment or fight? I mostly mean ones that have tons of feels and/or awesomeness. Mine is when Luffy, Zoro, Chopper, and Sanji go to the Franky House to avenge Usopp who was beaten up (Ep. 234). It's so goddamn powerful. Also, please tell me the episode number or something so I can check it out and remember ( I've watched and read all of One Piece that's out currently, so you can post spoilers just put them in a spoiler tag, so other people don't get spoiled.
Water 7/Enies Lobby was one of the more memorable arcs, IMO. CP9's methods of brute force rather than relying on lame spells was also cool.
And the walk to the Franky House is a highlight, but the walk to Arlong Park was even more epic.
I'm not all caught up on the show (I'm at some point in Thriller Bark), but I'm not seeing much appeal of the show post-timeskip.
Anyone feel like shooting me some recommendations? I'm up for (almost) anything. Preferably shows with good writing, and where something actually happens by the end of it.
Seeing Akame ga Kill on the poll reminds me how bad it is

I like the part where Nami finally breaks down and asks for Luffy's help dealing with Arlong.

Anyone else watching the recent anime? Lets get this discussion going guys!
Yep, but not watching much. Not a lot of shows look interesting to me compared to last season. >_>
Currently watching:
- One Punch Man (Anime of the season tbh)
- Noragami Aragoto
- The Perfect Insider (Still need to catch up.)
- Owari no Seraph S2 (Still need to catch up... but it's so much better than season 1.)
- Sakurako's Investigation
And I'll be watching Owarimonogatari & Haikyuu!! Season 2 once I finish the prequels. ;p
Probably the only anime I've watched since my haydays in 90's with the flood of it coming into the US is Chobits, Claymore, Rin Daughters of Mnemosyne, Ah My Goddess! (I read the manga from it's start till around the early 00's as well) and I tried a couple of episodes of Death Note, but I didn't stick with it. I watched one other show along the lines of Chobits, but I can't remember if I am just imagining it. It was on Netflix, but having looked at the Chobits page on wikipedia, I may just be remembering that. Cause there is all kinds of busty alien gals falling at the feet of random pre-teen boys. :-)
Claymore and Rin were my favorites of most the recent anime. Something about getting into new anime that's a hurdle for me. Maybe like music, there's a preconceived notion in my head that these kids these days don't know good anime. :-) I am totally willing to admit it's my own hurdle, not necessarily the quality of recent anime.
I have RBWY (?) on my Netflix queue but have not watched it yet.
Of some stuff I've watched over the years and really enjoyed Macross Plus, Orguss 02, just about anything Tenchi Muyo, Vampire Hunter D (I need to watch the second film), Castle of Cagliostro, Green Legend Ran, Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals, Fatal Fury 1-3, Slayers, Street Fighter II V, Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge, The Art of Fighting, Princess Mononoke, Macross II, Ninja Scroll, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Armitage III, Legend of Crystania and Fire Emblem, off the top of my head.

RWBY isn't strictly an Anime, it's an anime style show from Rooster Teeth. It's really good and the recent episodes have been amazing. High recommend it

I've seen that name before. On Halo related YouTube videos my kids watch, I think. I think at the time I saw it netflix had it under anime. Or I got suggested from watching Halo Legends. Not that I'd really consider that a traditional anime either.
Ill give it try this weekend. Maybe even tonight àfter I get done laundry done.

I checked out RWBY awhile back because of your avatars Spark, lol. It's pretty decent. I need to get back to it, trying to juggle too many things to watch at once hehe.

The animation quality has improved a ton in the recent series and the story is really kicking off

Of course not, m8.
I believe you.
Nagato-chan sucks.
Discuss.
Anyone watch Junketsu no Maria?
Haven't seen that yet. I have no real opinion on Nagato. I dislike short hair and meganekko, but I like her dandere aspect so I guess it weighs out to neutral, heh.

Hmmm. Recommendations are always subjective, but if I had to pull a few titles from the top of my head I'd say Gilgamesh, Allison to Lillia, Zipang, Itazura na Kiss, Ouran High School Host Club, Detroit Metal City, Yuru Yuri, Moonlight Mile, Natsume Yuujinchou, Spice and Wolf, Yomigaeru Sora, ummm... *shrug*
oop
Let's go with finished slice of life, with drama and/or romance.
Oh hey, I've actually seen that one. I enjoyed it. While the whole harem thing was meh, the characters and their abilities were fun to watch.
I also tried watching Saekano, totally wasn't feeling it.
I love Gintama, but there are so many references that I don't get. I need to git gud
