Now that a good chunk of my Mythos is finished, I think I am ready for my first real fanfiction.
It's about Trixie, humiliated by her last defeat, braves the Everfree forest to get to the Temple of Discord, where she tries to bargain with Strife ( The head Draconequus when ever Discord is away) for powers rivaling Starswirl himself, but when she does meet them, she can't stand their pure evil, betrays them, turns Strife to stone temporarily, and is accepted by Luna to be her student.
I'm actually a lot happier whenever I think of the show or anything related to it compared to before I even heard of the series.
Hmm, maybe my "pony fix" is mentally working on Aurora Spark. But, to tell the truth, our worldsetting is so drastically different from the canon show now that my mind probably wouldn't register it as pony.
Oh, heavens no! Twilight has always been the cutest, smartest, all-around-best pony (quoth our great prophetess Pinkamena Diane Pie). Anyone who denies that is not alright in my book (though I will tolerate them. Not love, but easily tolerate).
Actually, Star Swirl was less powerful than Twilight. You can tell because
A: Celestia said in Twilight's CM flashback that she's never seen a unicorn with as much raw power, and
B: Trixie claims she's the greatest equine to ever live, Twilight challenges her and she wins. Also, at the end, Twilight admits that she's best pony.
That's pretty bucking awesome. I've made two songs to coincide with my fic, but I can't get them recorded, Macs don't have that much recording software for free (Thanks Jobs!), so I'll just post the link for the songs I put: http://eng.musicshake.com/song?sn=144445#!/song?sn=144445

Same here, my Pony Fix is the Encyclopedia and spin offs of it but I modified the world SO FRIKKIN MUCH that it seems more like Elder Scrolls.

She's also one of the few likable Unicorns in my opinion, other than Trixie, that is.

What other unicorns are there? Blueblood, Flim and Flam, Rarity, Fancypants, Jetset and Uppercrust... It's a lot of antagonists, and Rarity. Of course Twilight's among the best.

Trixie. Pound Cake (or the other one who's name I forgot). Colgate.
Actually, they write with their mouths, not with their hooves (which makes sense, as horses have prehensile lips). They haven't done much with their hooves in the series, though they may have made them do a lot more. There's a double amputee out there who can pitch a baseball with his feet.
Lips can be only be used for so many things before you come across obstacles that require more strength than dexterity to accomplish, that is where hooves come in to even the scales. And of course they'd develop multiple ways to carry out different tasks; Humans have developed varying methods of communication that each have their own quirks and advantages, such as sign language.
While we may not have seen them use their hooves for a great many things in the show, it would not be unreasonable to assume that they can be much more useful than most people would care to think, given the accomplishments of the aforementioned landmine victim.
I don't know why people say they need a pony fix. It's ridiculous.
I don't know why people need to find a source of happiness and take part in it every day. It's ridiculous.
Trixie claims she's the greatest equine to ever live, Twilight challenges her and she wins. Also, at the end, Twilight admits that she's best pony.
Aside from A, B and C are not facts, they are opinions, and they do not support your argument.
How does Trixie claiming to be the greatest equine only to be beaten by Twilight contribute to proving her superiority over Starswirl? She only claims she is the best, and has failed to give any form of proof to support it. She is irrelevant unless she is equally as powerful as the historical figure, which is almost impossible to determine.
Even if Twilight admits she is the best, it only stems from her belief that she sees herself as the better magician. We have not seen Starswirl in action, have we? Unless Celestia has seen the extent of his power, there is no accurate way to measure his prowess as a unicorn.
Power can only go so far without intellect and skill. Twilight may possess a large degree of raw power, but she is still young, and not as experienced as Starswirl once was. Power does not determine one's greatness, though it does help, it is the means in which you apply it. It would be unreasonable to draw conclusions without solid facts and evidence.

Do you like space games? I like space games. You should check out Starsector!
Trixie. Pound Cake (or the other one whose name I forgot). Colgate.
Trixie had already been mentioned, Pound Cake is a baby, and Colgate is a background character. If you want to count background characters, there's Lyra, Parallax, Fleur, Twilight's parents, etc, etc, etc.

The statement in question was that Star Swirl was more powerful than Twilight, not "greater." And furthermore, Celestia has met Star Swirl, and still says that she's never seen a unicorn as powerful as Twilight. So even if you completely disregard Boast Busters, my point still stands.
Have I've written a review yet? I don't think so here it is, another drab and boring review that probably is almost identical to every other posted already but who cares.
I'm not gonna say much but there are a few good points of this episode. First thing I loved Fluttershy's knocking the wind out of dashie but then gently opening the window. I liked seeing the dragonshy dragon again along with the phoenixes. Plus the William Anderson out did himself today with all the metal back music.

A correction, if I may: I believe it is Pumpkin Cake you are referring to, as Pound Cake is a pegasus.
It's a pastime, not an addiction. There's no need to get a "pony fix," which is actually something you said earlier in this same post.
Regardless of being either, people still take the time to participate in something enjoyable as often as they can, and there is nothing wrong with it.

Perhaps Twilight is the better in terms of power. But when using my earlier argument in regards to "greatness," does that not mean that Star Swirl would be tough to match?
And could you provide an instance or clip of the moment in the show when it becomes apparent that Celestia did meet Star Swirl? I cannot remember any at this time.
Your avatar is great. I once had an affair with steampunk art, and since I love ponies so much, the combination is just great. The only thing that gets closer to capturing all my interests is, well, this:
If only it included Doctor Who...
By the way, I'm getting tired of everyone shortening Star Swirl's name to one word, when it's clearly two separate words.
Edit: In fact, I'm getting so tired of it, I believe I'll go to bed.
Been looking at the "Mine Little Pony" but can't properly use it without a skin over-ride server plugin because I want to keep my base skin for non-MineLC players.
THis is making me think more and more there there should be a way to manage seperate skins for seperate models.
I totally agree with you on that, but unless minecraft.net will allow us to upload two skins to toggle between, we're stuck with mods/plug-ins...

My favorite used to be Spike.
I'm not exactly sure now, but the recent episode is definitely one of my favorites from Season two.
A new fresh song was released. I will say, its quite addicting, so watch out.
Can't watch it just yet, but I've got to say that the title sounds very poetic. And the OC on the cover is very, very intriguing. I love a good OC.

Considering what how close they were (Discord was essentially her uncle) in the Encyclopedia Mythos this makes it so much more more sad to me.
