I remember reading those books... then they were ruined by the movie...
Meh, I didn't think the movie was that bad, it obviously changed a lot of things but that is pretty much avoidable. They kinda reversed Soren and Gylfie's roles, Soren became the confident, strong one, and Gylfie was a *****. It was the other way around in the books. That is probably what irked me the most.
I know them havent read them but hear they are good but personally I like the warrior cats instead just my prefrence but I have thought about reading them.

I love the series i'm re-reading it I think either Soren or Twilight are my favorites
I... yeah, I remember those. I read them like six+ years ago, back in the day when I would pick a random book outta the library and then go through the entire series. I'm ashamed that I did that with Warriors, GoG, some trilogy about bats which got real disturbing near the end, and Percy Jackson... series with no apparent value to me now. Warriors for example, in retrospect, is boring as hell and repetitive as a broken record - idk how I could stand it.
I'll tell you what's a good tween series: the Edge Chronicles. Just phenomenal. I want a movie, and it had better be made in the UK.
I LOVE the series. My BFF has the whole series, and she lets me borrow them. At the moment I'm up to book 11. She also lets me borrow the Wolves Of The Beyond series, and that's EPIC! I would recommend it. It's based in the same world as The guardians. It has a few owls in it, but not many. And when I read the last book, I cried. (Don't ask me why, cause I don't know myself...) So if you like any of the following: Polar Bears, Bobcats, Owls, Wolves, Crows, Evil birds that come from hell, (A.K.A Hagsfeinds) Voles, lemmings, Snakes, Eagles, and any crap like that, then YES, get the books.
Started reading when they first came out. It was a fantastic story and quite long. Though I stopped after I would say the 4th book about the wolves, I couldn't really get into that one.Though if you're into stories with action I recommend Rangers Apprentice thats a nice action packed series based around medieval times (if you're into that).
i love the series
