It's gotten to the point where children's show are better written than most adult shows.
There is more room to experiment with the formula with children's shows. After all, it's for children, they probably won't understand it anyways, as long as everything is said with inflection, it's gold. Hence all of the inside jokes involved in children's shows.
With adult shows, you follow the formula or Fox cancels you.
Hell, I'm 14 and still watch Spongebob and the older cartoons. (e.g. Scooby-Doo and The Flintstones) Don't let other people's opinions affect your interests too much.

Why aren’t my conversations peppered with spontaneous witticisms? Why don’t my friends demonstrate heartfelt concern for my well-being when I have problems?… I gotta get my life some writers." ~Calvin, Calvin and Hobbes
Edit: little add on: (Ive also been starting to almost crack and watch this, "My little pony" show too... i think there is something wrong with me....)
Ok... Im gona admit, I cracked, and watched every episode... all of them... Idk why but its addictive... e_e However, I looked Up "Brony" in google... my eyes are still bleeding from the images... So.. not full on crazy brony.. but i think its an ok show for unknown reasons xD

Yeah, that's pretty much the case for me as well. I found it by accident ages back when there were only 7 episodes released, and was trying to figure out what it was and why it was on Knowyourmeme, so I gave it a chance and it wasn't long before I had seen all the episodes available.
There was a short time I tried to come to terms with it, but then I got to thinking that, regardless of who or what age group it was aimed at, it was, fundamentally, created by adults who were damned good at what they did, and enjoyed doing it, and I think it was a lot of that part that is why I liked it.That
That said, I'm not about to use a Brony avatar. It's hardly any more a part of my "identity" than Star Trek, Stargate, or other shows I like. I have to admit it's kind of funny to look at my videos folder and list them off. I did that once in IRC, it went something like "I look in my videos folder, I see Star Trek TOS... Stargate SG1.. Stargate Atlantis, Star Trek the Next Generation, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Star Trek:Deep Space Nine, and Star Trek Enterprise... one of these does not belong" and the response was "Dude WTF? Deep Space Nine?"..
Actually it's interesting to find this topic today, since a recent post I made gave me an urge to download and watch that old Duck Tales show.
You would be surprised at how many people watch kid shows. And you'd also be surprised at how many kid shows contain jokes that only older people would get. I think a lot of the shows you listed are all ages shows, as a lot of Disney shows are like Wizards of waverly place, iCarly and etc. Though they are aimed at younger people, anyone can watch it. I watch shows like that myself sometimes, though I don't enjoy little kid shows like Strawberry shortcake or what not. People like different things. Some things are more popular with others, some aren't.
Im 18 and I watch more cartoons than most adults my age and I prefer the older cartoons instead of this new garbage besides phineas and ferb......so is MLP really that great....jw
I have found recently that, i like little kids shows more then i do average TV... (excluding the cooler new fantasy live action shows) But, to name an example, Instead of watching the crummy, bad joke shows on Disney channel like "good luck Charlie" or "Jessie"... Id like to watch things like My sisters (*gulp*... cant believe im about to say this...) Strawberry shortcake shows from back in like 2005... Or old "Rescue Heroes". I've recently been even doubting my gender and age at some points too... :/ The reason i feel this way is because, there's more... how do i put this... "Story" to most older cartoons, Rescue Heroes even had their own movie, and they have safety tips at the end of each episode... as for strawberry shortcake, I don't even know myself why i even like that show :/ Is this normal for a teenager of 14?
Edit: little add on: (Ive also been starting to almost crack and watch this, "My little pony" show too... i think there is something wrong with me....)
I am going to be brutally honest here. NEVER tell anyone you know in real life because they might think you a bit of an odd-ball. Also...no those are not 'normal' as you put it.
Well strawberry shortcake and MLP aren't atleast. rescue heroes is..interesting.
So basically stuff like spongebob is more common. strawberry shortcake is a bit....feminine and girly. And my little pony is evil.
I don't find it odd to like little kid shows.
I still watch Spongebob, Tom and Jerry, Bugs Bunny, Road Runner, Kirby Right Back Atcha'.
Though if you're watching a show like MLP:FiM... it just doesn't seem to be a show appropriate for teens to be watching...
I find it overrated. But the animation, voice acting, and back drops are pretty awesome. Mostly because an animator from the series Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends helped animate it. I will criticize the show though for not having very interesting situations, and maybe being praised so much for who's know why.
For me its furbys.

I enjoy Adventure Time, but you don't hear me calling myself a Finny.
Bronies are the equivalent of Japanese Anime Weeaboos in my eyes.

Oh god, the horror.
Everything else I don't care about, and being a brony I give you five bits for trying MLP:FIM out.
But we need to work on Strawberry Shortcake. Go try out the first season of GoT and come back telling me how cool Tyrion is.
