Community-
Hands down my favorite comedy show. The ensemble cast is amazing. I love the episode where the parody a movie/ genre, just great. Never know what to expect from it, besides hilarity and Troy and Abed in the morning
Office-
The third season of Office was some of the finest comedy on television. 1-6 season I loved it. Past few season it's gotten away from it roots (the documentary style, too many episodes outside of the office.) It also suffers from overly played out and redundant plot lines (*cough* Erin and Andy *cough*) I'm sorry, I can't stand Robert California, I loved his first like two episode but then he got obnoxious.
The Simpson-
Say what you will about seasons 3-9 or whatever being the best, but at the end of the day, Simpsons is Funny.
Glee- (NOT ANYMORE)
I'll admit it: I used to like Glee. The first season was really funny. No-holds-barred. They were inappropriate highschoolers, and I loved it for that. But by the time 2nd season came around, it stopped being funny, or even entertaining, so I stopped watching it.
Drama:
Breaking Bad-
This has to be, hands down, my favorite show on television. The show is less epsisodes, and more on continuous story about (as it reads, elegantly, in official descriptions) "The tale of a desperate man, and how far he will go to ensure his family's survival.".
First off, the story is top notch. Watching Walter White's slow transformation from a timid chemistry teacher into a fierce drug dealer is just amazing.
The acting is absolutely amazing. Bryan Cranston has to be my FAVORITE actor. I mean, compare something from say the third season of breaking bad, and then go watch and episode of Malcolm in the Middle. Mind=Blown. All of the supporting cast are also great. Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman also has some of the best performances I've seen.
The symbolism is more than I've seen before. Colors, objects, even simple situations take on multiple meanings when juxtaposed. Every time I watch it, I notice something new.
I could spout praise for Breaking Bad forever, but there are other TV shows. I HIGHLY suggest watching it if you haven't, It's on netflix instant play and google is always a thing
Game of Thrones:
This show is just plain awesome. Dark Medevial fantasy world, a deep engaging story, Funny and truly like-able (and hate-able) characters. Plus, naked chicks. But seriously, the story is very well done, the many characters are all fleshed out and interesting
The Walking Dead:
I love zombies. And this show does zombies right. Not the infected super powered brutes from L4D or Resident Evil. Shambling, rotting people. And then the story. While the action ebbs and flows, The Walking Dead can be a really great show. That being said, some episodes can be lacking. Overall, it has great action, a good story, and enough good characters. Now, T-Dogg: Do something or DIE ALREADY
Mad Men:
I've only just started watching this show on netflix, but from what I've seen, it's a good show. Interesting setting, original idea, and extremely suave Don Draper.
Castle:
I'm usually not a huge fan of Procedurals, but Castle is really good. The characters on the show are very entertaining, along with the cliche "Mystery writer solves mysteries"
Animated:
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic:
This show is great for many reasons. Most modern cartoons are aimed are immature boys, have highly annoying, stupid protagonists, and the punchline to nearly every joke is someone getting injured. My Little Pony doesn't treat it's audience like idiots. While it's aimed at little girls, it can be enjoyed by anyone.
The characters are three-dimensional, and like-able.
There are so many little winks at the adults watching it, subtle allusions including Star Trek, Doctor Who, The Big Lebowski, not to mention common literary allusions to things like Icarus' story of flying too close to the sun. The moment I know I loved this show is when one character is lecturing another and they literally step on a soap box to do so. Here
Every episode has a moral of this story at the end, in the way of writing to princess Celestia. However, it's not in your face throughout the episode so that it's annoying.
Some episodes have songs in them that are just freaking catchy. They're so upbeat. How they introduce the first song is freaking hilarious . I find myself humming them all the time.
The animation and voice acting are both top notch, very high quality
My Little Pony is just a break from the cynicism that is the rest of the world, a show that doesn't need to be edgy and in your face to be entertaining. It is impossible for me to be in a bad mood when I watch this.
So that's some of my favorite shows and why I like them. What're your favorite shows?
my favorite TV show is the walking dead. My favorite character (Believe it or not.) is Andrea. And unlike most fans, I do not hate Lori or Carl. Infact, I like their characters, and how Carl is growing up in this new world. I miss Dale though, with his wise words.
Yes! The degree of hate is unwarranted. This whole #killcarl thing? Carl reacts to things like a kid would, and has a rebellious streak (stay in the d@#n house Carl!) but still. Lori sometimes reacts erratically to things but 1. she's pregnant and 2., she's stressed as hell about her child(ren) and family. The only character that I kind of don't like of Carol. I liked her a lot more in the comic, and don't know why they changed her so much.
Breaking Bad, one of the best shows out there at the moment.
It's a real shame that Breaking Bad only has one season left. Well two because the season is going to split. The last episode will be very emotional lol. Honestly, I don't think there will be any other show like Breaking Bad.
The episodes provoke a lot of thought so I have had some time to think about the show. Honestly, if I had the time and motivation, I could write such a good show, similar to the Breaking Bad style but very different.

I know I will be paying close attention to what Vince Gilligan makes next.
I'm very happy that they're making season 5 16 episodes and split in two.
Also, I'm sad, but also happy that it's ending. Sorta of like Walter's speech in Fly
How he wanted to die at that moment when he was most happy, like the high point of his life. Rather it have a satisfying end, rather than become drawn out crap or (even worse) get cancelled without a a good end

I will be aswell, hope he makes a similar show and that's actually a really good point about ending on a satisfying end rather than a crap one. If you actually start thinking about it, what else could really happen in the Breaking Bad show?

There are actually several directions they could take it. I'm putting this in spoilers for those who haven't seen it
There are many sources where the main source of conflict could come from. We haven't learned about how Gus was a big shot in Brazil, (remember the cartel didn't kill him in the flashback) so we might learn he from a big drug family or something.
Or the conflict might come from Jesse. The only reason they worked together for the last episodes was because Walt convinced him the Gus had poisoned Brock
At the end of the season, Walt's right where he wants to be. Maybe now that he's done fearing for his life, he'll look back, and be remorseful, and become more of a sympathetic character. (Though, I always could sympathize with him to a degree)
And then there's Hanks unfinished investigating. That's a thread I'm interested to see where they take it.
Finally, one thing that I think would be very poetic, and a great end to the series is this: All this time, Walt's cancer has been in remission. About a quarter of the way into the season, Walt's cough slowly comes back. He finds out that his cancer is back, and worse than ever. By the end of the show, he dies from the cancer. The thing that brings the show into existence (the first seasons cancer was his driving force) will bring Walt out of the world. It feels fitting.
I was going to just mention Avatar, Legend of Korra, and My Little Pony, but reading through the thread reminded me of a few extra shows I enjoy; Futurama, Mythbusters, and Scrubs.

When I start watching TV will be the last day I get anything done. As such, I limit my viewing.
To Mythbusters, Gravity Falls, ' class='bbc'>Dan VS., and MLP:FiM
I've tried more drama-centric shows but most just kinda leave a bad taste in my mouth. I can't describe it. I need a show to either pull me in on the first episode or be pushed aside.
Speaking of which, I need to watch Dr who...
