If you watched it immediately after uploading, that would be why. It will be available to watch before its finished processing, but at very low quality.
It looks fine to me,but for future reference another possibility is when you are prepping it for youtube, how you..compress? it or something, windows movie maker for example has faster options for low size/quality, and slower options for HD.
It's in 720p that's why. But lower the quality to 360p on my video, and then you'll see the difference.
It's shoddy in 360p because it's lowering the resolution so drastically. Try taking a 1280x720 image and resize it to 640x360. That's exactly what you're doing to the video... Very big difference.

Yes, but look at Etho's video. It's in 360p and it has the same quality as my video but in 720p.

No it doesn't?
All 360p videos look the same.
Your video in 360p looks like every other video in 360p.
The SLIGHT difference in quality is from what format you encoded the video in, if its in an easy format like h.264 it won't take long for youtube to process and the video will be great quality, but if it's something weird like quicktime or real media the quality will go down.
Look on youtube to see what the best way to encode videos is.
I might slap you. They both look exactly the same when it comes to quality. The only difference-If there is one- is that your framerate looks a fraction of a bit lower than etho's.

"Sometimes it's necessary to go a long distance out of the way in order to come back a short distance correctly."
It is because you are lowering the resolution. It happens to every god damn video, you lower the resolution from HD to not HD, the quality is going to drastically decrease.
Yes, but compare my video and Etho's video both in 360p. They have a difference in quality, and you can't tell me they look the same. I'm asking how am I supposed to make it look like it in Etho's video.

They look the same. I just now told you. :tongue.gif:
They don't look much different but if you're really concerned, try encoding it in mp4 or something like that until you see it better quality.
The quality on my video is bad compared to other videos like this:
How can I change Fraps so it records like that? I also edit with Camtasia Studio if that helps.
edit: The video looks fine to me?

That's because youtube renders videos in different resolutions?
You probably uploaded with an encode that doesn't scale down well.

I did that yesterday and it still uploads at the same quality as the old one. :/
Looks fine to me... Unless your talking about the low framerate.

That makes absolutely no sense.
Did you even look at the video? It looks exactly the same as the other one.
