My phone is a Samsung Replenish. No, I'm not an eco-nut, I got it because it was the only smartphone avalible that Sprint didn't charge a **** ton extra for. It's a 3G Android that I got about a month ago when my contract with Verison expires, they where getting too expensive and sprint was the cheapest alternitave. It does what I need, but some of the more eloborate apps (like Mincraft Pocket, sadly) can't run on it. Definate step up from my old phone though.
I find AT&T a good service, with some great Family Plans.
I use iPhone, because it's currently the most advanced phone, and I'm doing some app-programming on it.

Love verizon 20$ a month unlimited 4G data. Also love being on old Altel plans that get me cheap plans.
Currently have a Droidx been the best smartphone Ive ever had still love my original razr tho. Running cyanogen with a custom theme I made.
But im looking at the galaxy nexus just because it gets updates sooner and is unlocked completely and does not require 2 init to bypass the locked boot loader. I also hate captive buttons with a passion and refuse to buy any smartphone with them.
I have a Sony ericsson xperia x10. Good phone over all. Runs on Android 2.3, 8.1 mp camera, big screen. My provider is reliable though a bit expensive. I pay about $60 per month on this thing.

The iPhone was outdated before it came out.
How so?
Compared side-by-side, it runs a lot faster, smoother, and has a wide market.

Phone:
Great. Very durable, easily rooted (and easy to flash a custom ROM), pretty good hardware inside.
Service provider:
Poor coverage, frequent call drops, poor customer service, it's AT&T, need I say more?
Paid nothing for the phone with a 2 year contract last year. I'm not paying terribly much since I got the hand-me-down cheap data plan from ages ago.
I'll trade you.
I do technically have an Android smartphone, but it doesn't have a plan. I use an original RAZR.

I'll be getting an iPhone 4S around Christmas to replace it.
