I have a computer (laptop) with the following settings:
Processor: Intel Core i5-2430M 2.40 GHz
RAM: 6GB
Operating sistem: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Graphic card: Intel(R) HD Graphics Family
It gets a punctuation of 5,5 (minimum: 1; maximum: 7,9)
Processor: 6,9
Memory (RAM): 7,4
Graphics: 5,5
Gaming graphics: 6,1
Primary hard disk: 5,9
So, the problem is: it's not possible to play in a normal render distance (fast graphics), because the game gets too laggy. I mean, 5-10 FPS. If I try short (fast graphics), though, I can play normally, with something like 20-30 FPS. However, I don't like playing in such bad settings.
I'm not sure, so that's why I ask you: the problem is the graphic card, isn't it? And the biggest problem is that I cannot upgrade it, because it's a laptop, right?
Is there anything that I can try, or I am really lost? Should I just buy a desktop computer, making sure that it has good NVIDIA/Asus graphic card?
Thank you in advance.

Ok, so I searched the graphics card you have. According to different internet articles it is one of the worst graphics cards out there. Sorry.
If its an integrated graphics card then you cant really do anything about it.
Thank all you for helping me. I knew I would have to get a good desktop computer as I knew my graphic card was bs.
I've been searching and what do you think of this Dell XPS 8700? 4th Generation IIntel i7-4770 (8M Cache, up to 3.9 GHz) Windows 8.1 (64-bit) 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 1600MHz - 2 DIMMs 1 TB SATA (7200 rpm) NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 635 1GB DDR3 If I forgot something important, you can see everything here...
I might buy it for R$ 2799,00 ($1.181,81). You may think that's a high price. However, here in Brazil electronics are always more expensive than in many other places. If I lived in US bought it there, I'd pay $699,00 for it. But that's OK.
So, what do you think about it?

In fact, I'm not willing to build one, but before I buy any computer, I am first going to see if build my own would be cheaper (as you said). If not, I will keep searching through the internet. I found another one that is cheaper and better (Lenovo IdeaCentre K450 Desktop) Processor: Intel i7-4770 3.4GHz RAM: 12 GB DDR3 1600 MHz Hard Drive: 2 TB SATA Graphics Coprocessor: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 (2 GB) Operating Sistem: Windows 8
But what does graphics coprocessor mean? It makes me think that there is another GPU. More information about the computer here.
What do you think about it? Still bad for $929.99?
(...) do you need any peripherals such as monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc?
No, I do not need those, despite my monitor is as old as a grown tree. But I don't care if what I'm seeing is in HD or not, I just don't want lag.
Thank you for the help.

Building would definitely be cheaper. If you're willing to spend that much, you might as well get a new monitor as well: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2Cv22
That's great, thank you a lot for the effort! However, as I said before, I'm from Brazil and I guess they would not ship all those parts here.
But my father's friend works with those things and he is going to make a budget for me. If it is still too expensive, then I will see what I can do about building my own. If none of them is compensatory, then I will ask you guys about a good one.
Thank you.

What about this computer (Dell XPS X8700-1253BLK Desktop): RAM: 8GB DDR3 HD: 1TB Processor: Intel i7-4770 3.9GHz Graphics Coprocessor: NVIDIA GeForce GT 635 (1GB) - I would upgrade it Operating System: Windows 8 I think it's a good one for $798.

The i7 isn't necessary for gaming, so it's pretty much a waste of money (especially since it comes with a terrible GPU). After upgrading the GPU, you'd be in it around $1000 on a PC that is equivalent to a $600-$700 PC for gaming.
So it's fine if you order from Amazon? They'll ship to you?
So it's fine if you order from Amazon? They'll ship to you?
Partially. I mean, they won't ship the majority of what they have there (talking about electronics). But if you search using "Amazon Global Eligible" tool, they will show you which ones they can ship here. I do not know the amount of extra money that I would need to pay, but I know that it would still be cheaper buying there than it would be here.
The budget which my father's friend did was about R$3800,00 ($1610,00), with specs nearly equal to that Lenovo IdeaCentre. Processor: Intel i7-4770 3.4GHz RAM: 12 GB DDR3 1600 MHz Hard Drive: 2 TB SATA Graphics Coprocessor: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 (2 GB) Operating System: Windows 8
All you keep saying "no, don't buy that one" and "nor this one". But for me they are very good deals, for buying my own pieces here will be really more expensive. Don't forget that I do not live there to buy separate pieces for cheap prices. Therefore, my final decision is to buy one of those I mentioned.
Thank you all for the help and advice.
it will run Minecraft very well. They are both under Global Eligible.
the computer looks like it would use low profile cards...

Sorry about that, but I have just crossed out Amazon or any other international store from my list. Reason: taxes. Stupidly, I forgot to consider them. If I bought the computer (or the pieces) there, besides the shipping, I would have to pay something around +95% of the product+shipping original cost. Even I opted for that suggestion which Inconspicuous made, the final cost would be around R$3000,00 ($1270) - Thanks to protectionism. Furthermore, it would be a more basic computer: I can get one with Intel i5 and a good GPU for (much) less here.
Conclusion: I will just search in my own country. I will never pay 95% more than I should. If I find something interesting, I will see what you guys (that look more experienced than me in this topic) think about it.
Thank all you!

Yeah, forget that then if they're charging you that much for taxes and shipping. Let us know if you find something.
Please, help me with this Dell laptop: OS: Windows 8 HD: 1TB Processor: Intel i7 GPU: AMD Radeon HD 8850M 2GB GDDR5 RAM: 8GB If you want more information, you will find it here (but it will be in portuguese).
It is sold by the same price of Dell XPS 8700 mentioned before. Specs: 4th Generation IIntel i7-4770 (8M Cache, up to 3.9 GHz) Windows 8.1 (64-bit) 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 1600MHz - 2 DIMMs 1 TB SATA (7200 rpm) NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 635 1GB DDR3
However, I know neither if I can trust laptops, nor if that Raedon GPU is a good one. I understand NVIDIA numbers, but not Raedon numbers or that final "M". I tried to search Raedon HD 8850M x GT 635, but I did not find any reasonable result.
I'm really surprised, though... the laptop is the same price of the Dell XPS tower and it seems to come with a better graphic card (although, as I said, I'm not sure about Raedon GPUs).

But can't you just tell me why? I mean, what's wrong with the laptop? I really wanted to know how good that GPU is.

A desktop could off much better performance, but it depends on different factors such as budget, usage, etc.

It is basically low-profile, even though it's not labeled one. That 7750 is tiny; I would be very surprised if it didn't fit.
