Oh. Hey there. This thread is for posting what your dream computer/laptop would be. Fictional or non-fiction-- you can post it here. For example, non-fiction would be like you'd want a typical, yet good gaming computer, or maybe some kind of work computer, like a notebook? As another example, fiction would be like a laptop that can transform into a cell phone. Or maybe you'd want a desktop computer that can turn into a heavy powered tank? Whatever it is, this is the thread for posting it.
My dream computer would be something like an ASUS. One of those gaming computers. Right now, I'm just using a 2005 Dell XPS. It plays games rather well, but... it can't play some games.
If a thread like this has already been created, please inform me.
Maybe a dual Xeon, or a 3930x with a quantum co-processor. Quantum computers aren't really good at everyday tasks, more at repetitive tasks such as password cracking. It would kind of be like using a graphics card as your processor. I would also probably get eight monitors, and 4 gtx titans in SLI(or maybe 7970s in crossfire because I prefer AMD for non-gaming tasks).
an original CRAY-1 just for how impressive the wiring is
Seeing my post in your signature made my day
OT: I would have to go with the ASUS G750. Only lighter. If there was some way to make a laptop that can run all the games I play on max graphics (like the G750) without it weighing anything significant, that would be amazing

Hacked drivers. And why? Although AMD has better price to performance then nVidia 4 Titans are far superior to 4 7970s.
there is no real task besides some enterprise level rendering that requires even a single titan.
4Z 7970's may be less powerful, although you will still never use the full power of it for a few years.
Although IIRC we've had like 5 of these threads and it just ends up with people listing the most expensive parts in PCPP and no real discussion happening.
Also @ quantum people, IIRC quantum computers arn't backwards compatible so you'd need to make yourself a OS on the brand new quantum platform.
MY dream computer is something that glows blue, oh wait, i got that.

Proud member of the MCF AWA war of '13! if someone suggests Alienware or Cyberpower, wait for a custom-built list from someone who knows their stuff. Meh Rig
i would pawn that and buy warehouse with like 100 $500 LAN computers and make millions.

What I would do is get a corsair 900D case, with like 4 titans and a 3970x all watercooled. Then have the have a piece of metal put right on top of the radiator, and cook eggs on it

why not just submerge it in a pool of mineral oil and use the hot oil to deep fry frys?

Well, all the components would be made of graphite instead of silicone. You said fantasy right?
Then I'd have a liquid nitrogen cooling system.
Maybe a "Google Glass" monitor or one of those gaming projectors with 3D capabilities.

You do know that exists right? It's used for record breaking.
Me? Well, I'd have a Metabox P570WM.
