So I am planning to abandon consoles and switch to PC. This is my first gaming PC so I don't really know much about performance. Can anybody tell me if this build is good and will last? I will be willing to pay more by the way.

So what? It looks decent enough, and is only $100.
So what? Galaxy makes good cards.
So what? Single channel doesn't make a real world difference from dual channel.
Not entirely true. The 8350 performs better in well-threaded games, which will probably be most games in the future.
You've got to be kidding me. The NZXT Source 210 is an amazing case for the budget, easily worth $50.
1, That's like saying you should buy a product that looks good, and consider it's good.
2, I'm not gonna bother
3, Dual Channel is still great to have and you should always take advantage of it.
4, Yeah, once those games come out the 8350 is gonna be outdated. And it does NOT perform better in multithreaded games.
5, Seems like my opinion, but I love the looks of the 300r more and the good little features, and it improves in quality.
I'm saying the specs look decent, not that the monitor itself looks decent.
It doesn't have as much brand appeal as EVGA, Asus, ect. That doesn't mean it's bad. Search around a bit, you'll find tons of good reviews of Galaxy cards.
That's like saying 2400MHz RAM is nice to have, and is worth the extra money.
A dual channel kit is much more expensive. You can save a bit of money like this and still have similar performance.
And how, exactly? Once those games come they will be able to utilize more than 4 threads, so the i5 will be outdated faster.
Well, fine, that's your own opinion.
1, An an Asus monitor would be a better choice anyways
2, Galaxy coolers aren't as good as competitors
3, Again, it's silly to go single channel
4, Even in games which use more than 4 threads, and i5 performs better.

1. I was assuming that the monitor is good enough. If it breaks the warranty would be good enough correct?
2. IIRC i chose it because it was the cheapest 760 that did'nt have that horrid OEM blower cooler.
3. the single stick of ram is about half the price of a duel channel. and wouldn't affect anything if not using integrated graphics or rendering alot.
4. yes, although its like the case of the 7970 and the 680. the 8350 will get 60fps or more in 99% of games. and its $50 cheaper.

Again, it saves money and there's no real-world difference.
Like what games? And that's also because while some games can use more than 4 cores, they can't efficiently distribute their load evenly yet since we are still quite early into multi-threaded games. Which will change because the new consoles have x86 architecture and have 8 cores, and many games are console ports.
1, I'm not gonna go around and find benchmarks. It's well known EVGA, Asus, Gigabyte, ect. All have better performance coolers.
2, Whatever
3, One of my favorite games, Arma 2, can use up to 6 cores and performs better on an i5. Even Crysis 3, which I believe, can use up to 12 cores if memory serves me correct, performs about the same as an i5. Besides, 4 cores will continue to stay the norm for another generation.

1. no one is saying that Galaxy is better. but its definitly good enough, and as the 760 isn't that good of a overclocker, the cooler should be good enough.
3.did i not disprove that picture in a pm battle?
Anyways, no one is saying the 8350 is better. but rather that the 8350 is best at the price point.
Lets say that you change the 8350 is a i5, and the motherboard as well, the price would go above budget unless you downgrade the gpu. Now if you do decide to downgrade the GPU, then your at a 7870. the 8350 should easily perform any game at a suitable frame rate for the 760 to not be bottle necked.

Oh definitely. You can JUST run Crysis 3 at max settings at 1080p with the 7950 (~35 FPS) but BF3/4 should have a bit more headroom, especially since BF4'll be optimized for AMD hardware.

Nothing particularly wrong with it that I see.
True, but I have 1 question: what are you going to do with 16GB of RAM?
IIRC some XFX PSU's are SeaSonic rebrands.

Also, if you're only gaming, an i5 would be a lot better. The case also is bad for the budget.

Ok, Thanks for the help!
I wouldn't skimp on the PSU like that. You'll want a higher wattage if you want to upgrade in the future.
There's the same build with a better PSU: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1hBhH
