I was wondering, why the 4670k? They seem to be the ovens of the gaming world.
If you're only going to 4.0-4.2GHz, they're okay. Z87 is definitely a better chipset, so as long as the price of the CPU is similar, it's okay. Obviously, if the 3570k was $50 cheaper, we'd recommend that.

i5 4670k @ 4.9GHz - Stock Heatsink - The rest is melted silicon but I think I have a graphics card in there somewhere It surprises me how many people on this forum can't read benchmarks.

All of the other components not listed here remained the same. The original build would have cost me ~$1420 including shipping and tax. This new build cost me $1332 including shipping and tax but includes a number of upgrades.
Moral of the story: Take advantage of NewEgg combo deals. They saved me a ton of money. Also, Amazon charges sales tax, NewEgg does not. However, Amazon is better for shipping large items (e.g. computer cases) because large boxes don't cost more to ship from Amazon like they do from NewEgg.

- I ordered everything, minus the case, from NewEgg. I ordered the case from Amazon. This was the cheapest shipping/tax configuration.
- New case: Rosewill BlackHawk. This one received great reviews and it included a combo deal with the Corsair Vengance RAM -

- Upgraded the Motherboard. NewEgg had a great mobo/cpu combo deal, so this actually saved me a bit of money: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131979
- Upgraded the SSD to a Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB. This got better reviews (and NewEgg doesn't sell the non-pro edition)

- Changed the 750W power supply to a 650W. I realized I wasn't going to SLI, and 650W should do the job just fine:

- Changed the keyboard. I went from cheap to dirt cheap. Like I said, this is only going to last me a few months.
