If somebody suggests a Mac, Alienware, IBuyPower, CyberPowerPC, HP, Dell, ect. Wait for someone who knows what they're doing.
Does Microsoft not own the rights to console MC? Or is Microsoft just paying Mojang and 4Studios to keep it Xbox only?

The PS4 supports Java and it would require almost no work to get it working on the PS4. They won't need to develop a custom version just a controller mode for the PC version.
It would be stupid for Microsoft to give PS the rights to make Minecraft PS4 edition. Minecraft is Microsoft Xbox One/360 exclusive, and it can pretty much save Microsoft from failing new Xbox One.
Actually, Sony invited notch (minecraft creator) to their ps4 e3 reveal and bribed him with a golden ps one to put minecraft on the ps4. Notch said he was disappointed in xbox one and is looking forward to the ps4. Minecraft will most likely be on ps4 because notch knows that the ps4 is going to win the battle between xbox one and ps4. Mojang will get alot more money this way so the answer is most likely YES.

No...
Minecraft XBLA was created by Mojang and some other company. They own the rights to that incarnation of Minecraft. Microsoft has nothing to do with it.

Well, again, sort-of.
Due to the XBL indie games licensing and MS being the 'publisher' as it were, they hold exclusive licensing for Minecraft...... but I am unsure in the clause if that means this gen, next gen and all gens, or just the 360/PS3.
I believe when the game was released it only accounted for this gen, so chances are the license is relinquished for the PS4 and WiiU but that is a bit of a grey area and someone with better understanding of MS's dreadful XBL indie terms would know better.

They hold the rights to the Minecraft Xbox Edition if anything. The PS4 has the hardware to run PC Minecraft. I doubt Mojang gave up the rights to the Pc edition.

The issue is MS's draconic indie contracts and licensing terms.
Since MS is the publisher (depending on which short end of the stick the MC for xbox guys got) they can take legal action against the team if they were to release it on a non-microsoft platform. They could say that, while they are not the publisher for minecraft, they are the publisher for the console version of minecraft.
There was a huge discussion about this on a bunch of indie sites not too too long ago after a team got royally screwed by MS in this way, it really is quite despicable.

Yeah almost makes you want to read legally binding contracts and agreements before signing them, if only to learn what you can and cannot do as per the agreement.
I guess alternately you can not read it and then complain that the other party is a bunch of big meanies when you breach it.

This isn't the place for that.
