I am currently working on a Java game, one that is yet to be titled. It is a RPG game in which you have to stay alive for as long as you can and fend off the dangerous creatures. Venture into the darkest caves, gather your items. Craft and build everything you can to stay alive. Every once in a while a creature will pop up out of nowhere and you will enter Battle Mode. The monster attacks. You use everything you've got to attack it. Ooh... damage! Your heath bar just went down from a bad attack. But you retaliate! You swing around it, jump up, and as your coming down, you slash its head with your sword. You've won the battle, and you level up. As you level up, the game gets harder, and so do the battles, as the creatures are getting stronger. There is many more aspects of the game making it more feature rich then Minecraft. It will be much like Minecraft but with many more features and abilities.
This is a computer painting of what it will look like. I do not have a game screenshot yet as much of the game is not yet coded. This is what it might come out to be(I am a horribly bad drawer, especially on computer. The real game will look much better than this, please bear with me):

Anyway, the black thingies are the hotbar, quickbar, action bar, whatever you call it, which holds your items. It has 10 slots. Your inventory will have up to 30 slots. The middle bar is where you type commands, or chat, if I ever add Multiplayer support. The health and hunger bar is not hearts or... turkey legs, whatever, it is a bar. The game is going to be for Mac and Windows and maybe for Linux. As you can see, I don't have much to talk about... I will update this thread as I progress with the game.
No, I canceled this project. I should take this off my signature ._. By I'm making a text based game with LUA kinda like this. It's a small town sim called Cityscape.
