So guys what's you favourite series or specific model?
Mine would be the GTX 280 (Yes it's old but oh boy it handles very well for 1GB)
Also just don't comment if your going to flame AMD is better.
are you implying that nvidia is better? Anyway, my favourite amd cards would probably be either my old xfx 7800gt, or my (forgot brand) 8800gt. Both were great cards, I put custom aftermarket heatsinks on the 8800gt, overclocked great.
I have my Gtx 650 (possibly ti) in my comp and it does the job with amazing quality and speed.
I run my games like planetside 2 on medium at 60 fps and high at around 40, minecraft maxed out at 300 fps and source games maxed out at 60 fps
I'll probably always be somewhat partial to my old Creative 3D Blaster Riva TNT2 Ultra.
Never really was a fan of the Voodoo cards, even though I did use one for a little while to play Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3D, if I remember correctly. I use to install and uninstall the video card accelerator and game secretly on my family's home computer so that they wouldn't find out I was taking it apart and messing with it.
I think the Creative 3D Blaster Riva TNT2 Ultra was the first card I used in my first higher end PC. All the computers I built before that were mostly from spare and outdated parts I would collect.
Another one I liked later on was the BFG GeForce 7800 GT OC, even though it was on a somewhat dated 8x AGP instead of PCIe.
...
These days my main card is an EVGA GeForce GTX 680 FTW+ w/Backplate, and I plan to pick up another one around the end of this month or next month sometime for SLI.

Are you implying that they aren't? (AMD cards can actually be better in some respects, but that isn't my point.)
Just start your own AMD fanboy thread, if you want one. This just happens to be an Nvidia one.
I used to have a NVIDIA GeForce 6500 till about 2 months back. Now the minimum specs for a game is like 8600. I was that outdated. lol. Now I'm having Asus Nvidia GTX 660 OC2 .. Run games on high. I'm content. :3

I dare you to move your cursor to the green box on the bottom left of these words, and give it a click. I would give you a diamond, but I've lost it.
Give my channel a view would you? http://www.youtube.com/user/xDelay3d
Yeah I have had multiple amd and multiple nvidia cards over the years, probably 60% nvidia, 40% ati. I say ati because most of the time it was an ati card not an amd card.
Not trying to start a brand war, but who has better drivers, nvidia or amd?
I like the nvidia drivers because they have more advanced options, the nvidia drivers have always been nice. But, the amd driver updates give very good performance increases and generally do a good job.

I buy both too fanboism is stupid.
The whole driver thing is far more complex then hands done one is better.
AMD drivers are closer to the OpenGL spec. However Nvidia and AMDs workstation drivers follow the spec much closer but AMD is still on top there.
Both AMD and Nvidia often make great improvements over a generation of cards with a new arch. Nvidia has not been doing as massive changes to their arch like AMD has the past few updates is why Nvidia does not appear to be getting massive updates.
AMD you also get MLAA I use it with several games so I can turn the AA down and still have it look nice or if the game lacks AA at all.
I honestly don't know too much about the AMD drivers from lack of experience using them.
The Nvidia ones seem to be hit or miss if they improve general performance or not. They often tend to be more targeted to specific things. I do like the interface though, and it was nice of Nvidia to at least make the PCIe gen. 3 patch for those of us that can use it.

i5 6600k 4.6ghz / MSI 280X / 8Gb 2666 DDR4 / Gigabyte Z170X-UD5 / TX550M / 500Gb 850 EVO / NZXT S340 / Corsair K65 / Corsair M60
But my 9800GT will always <3.
R.I.P. BFG

I think I had one of those in our family PC, until it fried from dust because of neglect I even think it was BFG
And threads don't need a point, I want a just general discussion thread. Helping people with builds gets dull after a while.
