I'm trying to find a good Windows 8 tablet that will run Minecraft at least fairly well and can be used with a keyboard and mouse if desired. USB ports are a major plus as well. Anyone have anything like this or know of anything out there?

Are you talking about the pocket edition or the desktop version? I'm sure just about any tablet with Windows 8 will be able to pay the pocket edition just fine, but I doubt that any tablet would run the desktop version of Minecraft very well. Either way the Surface tablet from Microsoft is probably your best bet since it comes with a keyboard.

Nobody's perfect, so neither is Hannah Montana Linux, but it's pretty great.

They all suck. They just suck differently. Sort of like prostitutes.
It's got a decent processor, but I'm not confident that the built in GPU is gonna have enough juice to render Minecraft (the desktop version, of course).
I was kinda hoping that someone had experience with running Minecraft on a tablet such as this.

I've already got a great PC. I'm just wanting something to be able to jump on the couch with and carry around. Don't want the bulkiness of a laptop, though.
Looks like I'm probably just SOL.

You are, except for Minecraft PE, but otherwise no tablet can run like a PC unless its a AiO "even then does not have the performance needed" or as stated a laptop.
Good luck trying to find a Windows 8 tablet that will be able to run Minecraft. The Razer Edge will probably be able to run it, but it's not out yet and it's also pretty expensive.
I own an Acer W500 Tablet (Windows 7) with an AMD C-50 APU and it can run minecraft decently on far render distance..most everything else off. It is a little slow loading at times though and you can forget about running it with just the touchscreen. I'm hoping Mojang will add full support for Windows touchscreens in the near future. Haven't really tried to tweak it with optifine. It is playable though with default textures. I'm pretty sure using it on a server would kill the performance though.
I'm actually trying windows 8 64-bit 9200 build on my Tablet right now.. but I don't like it. Fairly glitchy and the start window is basically useless imo. Then again it could just be the fact that is a pre-release build. I won't be using it again either way though.

Why in the world would you buy a $1,300 tablet just to play Minecraft? It's a complete waste of money unless you plan on playing some actual games which need that kind of power.

Well, I've seen the surface's specs and optifine wouldn't even help it run minecraft.

I guess he wants a windows 8 tablet which you can plug in a mouse or keyboard, also having usb ports.
