I have a Blue Yeti along with a Cherry MX Blue keyboard. Obviously not a good combination.
Whenever I'm trying to record the keyboard clicks are overbearing. I have the Yeti in cardoid mode and the keyboard is to the side, but you still hear all the clicks. I ordered some rubber O-rings to put around the switches to prevent the keys from making a noise when bottoming out, but the clicks will still be a problem.
What is the best way to isolate this noise without getting a new keyboard? Should I construct a full foam casing around the mic?

Does it have a windscreen? That should help marginally.
Currently I'm not using one as I do not experience any pops at all. I'm thinking about wrapping foam around all of the mic grille except for the front. What do you think?

A windscreen is much similar to what you are thinking of doing.
Try the designed solutions before jury rigging something up yourself is my suggestion/opinion.
(although go ahead and try, no harm done)
There are various types of "windscreens" or "covers" out there, not just "pop filters"

Wait, a windscreen isn't a pop filter?
EDIT: Quick amazon search shows that it isn't. Any recommended ones for the Yeti that ships to Canada?
You can't really stop the clicks without changing the switches. MX Browns are fairly similar to Blues in terms of "feel", just without the "click" sounds that the Blues have, so replacing your keyboard is probably your only realistic option if you need it to be quieter. However, bottoming out Browns is also noisy, so you might want to look into getting a spare keyboard just for recording (like something with scissor switches, as those are quiet and don't feel horrible to type on like rubber domes do).

I was thinking about that, but I really wouldn't want to switch my keyboard every time I record.
You say that Browns are loud when bottoming out. How about with O-rings?

No clue, I don't have rings and don't feel like trying them right now.
Of course, if you are good enough to avoid bottoming out, Browns are fairly quiet, but I personally can't manage to do it and I'm not sure if you can.
In general, mechanical switches are almost always going to be noisier than scissor or rubber dome switches, so you're fighting a bit of a loosing battle here.

Yeah that's why I want to use O-rings, so if I do bottom out it won't make much noise.
I think I'll just stick with a rubber dome for recording.
Also, know of any windscreens that ship to Canada that fit the Yeti?
