Yeah, the 800d only supports 1 power supply, assuming you don't do any mods to it. Either way it is still supid to put 2 1600w power supplies in there, I guess thats the point of this thread though. On the subject of more than one power supply, my brother got 2x 830w power supplies in his new rig, and also a 450w power supply. That is 2100W, don't ask me why...
I think the point of this thread IS to make a complete overkill computer, the best, most expensive, insanely priced build. He isn't looking to buy a 7k computer. Even if someone's dream pc is overkill I'd still say they would most likely not get it.
I don't really know what the point of this thread is, most of the stuff people are posting either doesn't physically work or they're putting a bunch of junk that wouldn't even make sense if someone was -asking- for a computer at that price.
Uh, no, it's awful. If I was getting a 7K computer, I'd get something like this: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/oZIc
That with a full water cooling system, or a Phanteks PH-TC14PE, with a Quad SLI.
Yeah, I posted this before I knew that you can't run 4 GTX 690's (as they are dual GPU cards and the MoBo thinks that they are 4 separate cards). Also, some custom cases can run 2 PSUs but they cost like $500

So no would be my answer
Yeah, this is more like "The Hunt for the Most Overkill Build"...Any suggestions?
Not suggesting that someone does this, as not only are PCIe SSDs absurdly expensive, but well, RAID 0ing SSDs is never really a good idea.
