Many people wonder what the smallest, recommended or ultra specs are for minecraft, i will be answering about RAM,CPU and Graphics cards...
To be able to run minecraft on |Graphics Fast|Render Distance Short/Small|Smooth Lighting| but with a little bit of lag, you will need :
CPU = |2 GHz or faster|Intel Celeron or faster|
RAM = 2 GB RAM
Graphics Card = |Nvidia or Radeon is recommended but other work to|Atleast 800 mb|
To be able to run on |Graphics Fancy|Render Disctance Normal|Smooth Lighting| with a small amount of lag every once in a while, you will need :
CPU = |2,5 GHz or faster|Intel core i3 or faster|
RAM = 3.5 GB RAM or faster
Graphics Card = |Nvidia or Radeon is recommended but other work to|Atleast 1 GB or faster|
To be Able to run on |Graphics Fancy|Render Distance Far|Smooth Lighting| High Resolution Texturepacks|More then 1 mod| and no lag at all, you will need :
CPU = 2,5 GHz or faster|Intel core i5 or faster|
RAM = 4 GB RAM or faster
Graphics Card = |Nvidia or Radeon is recommender but other work to|Atleast 1,2 GB or faster|
These are not 100% correct but they should be right...

User's Comments that are correct :
"Graphics fast render short, I can run on a 1.8GHz and a crappy 128mb card. Do some more research. You didn't also state that 64-bit helps ALOT and how many cores on the processor."

"My cousin runs minecraft on a 90MB Intel video card!
He also uses optfine and he gets around 15 fps.
My specs are:
Graphics card: Nvidia Geforce 9500GT
Processor: AMD Athlon ll X2 245 dualcore 3.0 GHz
RAM: 2GB
I run Minecraft with no texturepacks at around 80 - 100 Fps Maximum settings
So this are not so exactly after all... :dry.gif: "

"Just an FYI, I have a 1GB GPU a 2.7 GHz CPU and 2 GB of ram and run Minecraft full-screen, fancy, normal/far, and a x128 texture pack with upwards of 100 FPS
EDIT: Also, I don't have a CPU anywhere near a i5, it's a E5400 Pentium."
All completely wrong my friend. Graphics fast render short, I can run on a 1.8GHz and a crappy 128mb card.
Do some more research.

As i said "Anwsers are not 100% correct" but thank you anyway, i will change that! :wink.gif:

I run Minecraft on an Intel Atom Duel Core Processor (1.6 ghz.) It has It only has 1 gig of RAM, but still runs super smoothly smoothly with these settings: Render Distance--Tiny, Smooth Lighting--Off, Bobbing--Off, Graphics--Fast, Performance--Max FPS.
