with max settings, most likly not, most of the money is going into the keyboard and the monitor, not the tower you would be better off just buying a tower if you already have that stuff so you can get a better computer
It will be able to play it, but recording while doing so will be very resource-intensive. A dual core like that might not be able to handle it lag-free.
4GB's of ram is plenty to record lag-free. I didn't see the graphics card on the page, and that's also pretty important. try to find out what it is.
That seems like it will run minecraft great! My comp is 4 years old and I get +30fps most of the time.

I always have the lowest settings on when I play minecraft so that's not a big deal. But would I be able to record + play while playing on the lowest settings? And is this computer up gradable?
You will be able to play the game with probably 20 fps with normal and fast graphics I would guess. You can forgot about recording though, the game will be unplayable while recording. Here are some tips.
1. Don't shop at Walmart or Best Buy for a computer.
2. Don't get one that comes with a monitor, the only reason companies throw in a monitor is so they have an excuse for the higher price point.

Nobody's perfect, so neither is Hannah Montana Linux, but it's pretty great.

They all suck. They just suck differently. Sort of like prostitutes.
Sure that'd be great , but I'm not sure how to put together a computer :sad.gif: .
This 3 part series is great for a first time computer builder. I suggest you watch them.
Generally the hardest part about your first time building one is picking the parts. Luckily, there are plenty of forum members here that can give you a list of parts.

Well, OK, first off, how old are you? If you're uncomfortable with answering that then we already have an answer. Do you need a monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, or do you just need a desktop? What's you're total budget?
That second PC you listed is definitely better. Don't expect super high framerates (100+), but it will run MC fine.

I am 15 years old , and I do need a monitor and speakers.Under $550 is my budget.
I left the choice of speakers to you because I don't really know anything about them. That leaves you $40 for speakers. Of course, with this build you would have to use Linux because Windows 7 costs $100. I would advise you not to get Windows, because then you would have to choose very low end parts to fit the budget.
