In my computer I have a hard-drive which contains a Windows backup of my files and Minecraft worlds, the hard-drive is 283 GB and my files + Minecraft worlds are about 100 GB, the strange thing is that the hard-drive is full. How could a backup of 100 GB of files fill a 283 GB hard-drive?
You could also run CCleaner and/or Window's built in utility "Disk Cleanup" to clear junk files.

I've tried "Disk Cleanup" and it does absolutely nothing, I wipe the drive with CCleaner when it gets really bad but that's annoying and takes a long time.
EDIT: Regarding the "wipe free space" function in CCleaner, all it does is (attempt) to remove traces of files that are already marked as deleted by Windows. It doesn't delete any files in the sense you're used to.

I didn't use the "Wipe free space" function, I used the "Drive wiper" tool to completely wipe the hard-drive and then created a new back-up, this process however can take literally all day.
You should try the program I linked first before anything else.
if that doesn't turn up anything, try looking in disk management to check for any unused partitions or unallocated space.

Just curious, that's all.
I know we're technically not supposed to "bump" threads but I really do need help with this.
Just curious, that's all.
