looking to upgrade the computer I currently already have.
cpu: amd fx 4300 quad core
gpu: r7800 series xfx ghost - I have no idea what 7800 it is, that's all it says on the card
the ram is fine, currently not sure about my motherboard until my girlfriend brings the computer over tomorrow. From what I've read I need an upgrade of cpu as it's a bit weak, unsure about the card.
I'll be mostly playing low demanding games. At most I'd like to be able to play skyrim maxed out with mods at stable 60fps. Future games I'm unsure of as I don't like the look of many. But if I'm to upgrade I'd like to put at least 200 into upfrades. 500 max. Also could you link a smallish sized case. The one I have is too big.
Also, it has windows 7 which is my favourite. I'm hearing this might be a problem with newer games?
The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
Agree with the above. There's no point spending money on upgrading that PC. Get something newer. You'd want to replace the motherboard for using a different CPU, so that'd probably use different RAM; and you'd want to replace the graphics card too... so there wouldn't be much left of the original. It'd be cheaper to start fresh.
