The possibilities are endless. Terraria is a pretty low end game, so you don't need a super computer for that... Your budget could be even cheaper if you only care about those games. I never played Roblox though.
I spitballed a bit with this system, but this might work.

Yeah, that guy in the avatar is me. I'm *that* strange. It happens. Sometimes people act like that. Just go with it. I can offer help with suggestions even before you post them - NOT make your suggestions - but help you with them.

I spitballed a bit with this system, but this might work.
My CPU is going to be pretty much the best for that price point. Decent cooler and you'll have 6 cores of 4.3+ghz goodness.
(Before anyone mentions my dated GPU, I'm upgrading to a 390 very soon. Was a budget build a year and a half back)
However, my GPU can still handle MC very well (solid 60+FPS max settings, 12-16 chunks) and do most shaders at 50-60 FPS.
Roblox is no problem whatsoever, and I've never played terraria, but I can't imagine it's very demanding.
My MOBO is decent for the price, and the dual-bios feature has saved me numerous times
Storage, you mentioned you dislike WD, so I'd just go with another HDD around that price. 1tb should be good enough.
Case is preference, so long as it fits everything. Mine's ok for the price.
PSU, 500 watt is a safe number for this build. Gives you a bit of oc'ing headroom.
Graphics-wise, you've not got many options for cards with more than 2gb VRAM, but you could lower the price a bit by going with a GTX 750ti instead of my card (just a bit weaker)
Cpu cooler- I want one because you cant be to cautious
Motherboard- I dont really care as long as i can have two 8 gigabyte memory sticks
memory- I prefer Gskill
harddrive- I dont like western digital
case- I prefer midtower or full
You don't seem to have a good grasp of hardware, so I'm curious as to what made you come to those decisions regarding preference in CPU, memory and hard drives.

Literally no point in recommending an outdated build. Plus an i3 will outperform even an overclocked 6300, and you're not stuck on a dead platform. Besides that this build is almost $300 over budget.

First of all, are your preferences legitimate? Or are you just making assumptions?
First of all, Intel is better than AMD at basically every price point. Much newer platform, much better performance per core, and you can now overclock any Skylake CPU assuming you have a decent motherboard and cooling.
Second of all, 16gb of ram is overkill for a $600 computer. And there is literally no reason to prefer a certain brand of ram, since basically all ram comes from the same factories. They're just re-branded.
Any reason you don't like WD? There is absolutely nothing wrong with them.
This build is under budget, and will MAX out all 3 of the games you listed at 60 fps. You don't need an aftermarket cooler since the stock Intel coolers do well on the stock clock speed.
I said that my card was outdated, and recommended a 750ti instead because it's cheaper. "New" cards like the 970/80 or R9 390 series are more expensive.
Also, a dual core? Really? Nobody should be buying dual core CPU's any more, especially for gaming.
That CPU is much more expensive than the 6300 as well.
Triple the threads on the 6300
And the initial clock speed means nothing. If he gets a decent cooler (which you did not suggest), then the 6300 could easily reach at least 4.3ghz, if not 4.5 ghz. Love to see the i3 do that.
The i3 may perform marginally better in single core uses (older games, a single word doc, etc), but the 6300 will destroy it in any normal, modern use.
And yes, the chipset is a bit outdated, but the higher FX models are still beast.
"First of all, Intel is better than AMD at basically every price point." Really? Is it really? Because you just compared a 110$ CPU with a 90$ cpu. Where's the better 90$ Intel competitor?
Also, different ram brands have different build quality, and different timings.
Also, 16gb ram is not overkill if he will use it. In fact, 8gb is becoming the minimum quite quickly with gaming and other applications.
WD, I'm with you there. Never had a problem with any of my WD drives.

Look at benchmarks. The i3-6100 has completely destroyed the 6300 in all modern games. Also while it's dual core, it has hyperthreading which makes up for the lack of cores.
That CPU is much more expensive than the 6300 as well.
Triple the threads on the 6300
It's $20 more lol, and completely worth it. Also I think your math is wrong, considering 4 time 3 doesn't equal 6. The i3 has 4 threads.
And the initial clock speed means nothing. If he gets a decent cooler (which you did not suggest), then the 6300 could easily reach at least 4.3ghz, if not 4.5 ghz. Love to see the i3 do that.
And if he gets the i3, then he won't need to overclock since it would already be an improvement over the 6300. Oh and you wanna see an i3 hit 4.3 GHz? Sure thing m8
The i3 may perform marginally better in single core uses (older games, a single word doc, etc), but the 6300 will destroy it in any normal, modern use
Again. Benchmarks prove this to be wrong.
And yes, the chipset is a bit outdated, but the higher FX models are still beast.
Not really. There's the 9590 which is complete garbage for the money, and there's the 8350, which still performs worse in most games compared the the i3. When the 8350 is worse, and it's still the best CPU for AM3+ , it's a dead chipset. Also, in 3 years, you would still be able to upgrade to a new i5/i7 on the Skylake chipset, while in 3 years on the AM3+ chipset, you're completely screwed.
"First of all, Intel is better than AMD at basically every price point." Really? Is it really? Because you just compared a 110$ CPU with a 90$ cpu Where's the better 90$ Intel competitor?
Yeah don't act like $20 will make/break a budget. Especially when the build you posted was $300 over budget.
Oh and btw, it's $105 not $90. But it might as well be $20 since it's a slow CPU on a dead platform
Also, different ram brands have different build quality, and different timings.
The build quality is almost identical throughout, and you have lifetime warranty so it's not like it matters.
Also, 16gb ram is not overkill if he will use it. In fact, 8gb is becoming the minimum quite quickly with gaming and other applications.
WD, I'm with you there. Never had a problem with any of my WD drives.
For the games he specified (Roblox, Minecraft, Terraria) he would honestly be fine with 4GB. 8GB is plenty. Plus he can always upgrade down the line if he actually needs to.

For somebody who seems to not know much about computers, you seem to have a lot of "professional" preferences.
can you just help me
i really just look on pcpartpicker and look at things thats it
Sorry, that came off seeming really harsh.

That is the ultimate bottleneck. That horrible APU and a GTX 960? Why would you even go for an APU when you're putting in a graphics card?
Have a look at my build for a starting point: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Jtpetch/saved/vwNgXL

You made the same mistake I did, you went for the similar labeled CPU but picked the wrong one.
Is there any reason that build is better, Craft_Logic?
The 4300 is just a 6300 with fewer cores and a higher stock speed (which means nothing after overclocking, my 6300 is at 4.3ghz and could go higher)
And that cooler is cheaper than the one I suggested, but from what I've seen, the Cryorig H7 cools better (30c idle, 50c max load for me)
