I have been looking for a good computer for minecraft for a while now, and Hopefully some of you guys can help me out. I am looking for a desktop, preferably Windows 7, that is good to play minecraft and a few other games like Left 4 Dead 2, Unturned and other games on Steam. I would like to keep the price under $1000. I do not know much about computers so you will need to explain what you are saying the best you can and please be patient with me. A lot of people say building your own is better, but I do not know how to, I know nothing about building computers, so please don't say "build your own, it's easy" well not for me XD so again, don't talk about building one, I'm looking just to buy one already built. All the help I can get will be appreciated, so please try to help me out and tell me what are some good computers for gaming. Also, I would like to play minecraft with mods, like around 30 and play mod packs too. Thanks guys
building one is better because it will center the computer on what u wanna do. for example I build mine to have 32 gb ram because some programs need lots of ram to run efficiently and I have 2 3 tb hard drives because I do a lot of videos and I run lots of programs when editing as if u don't know some raw video footages may even b as big as 50 gbs or even more for maybe just 6 minutes (resolution of the video makes a big difference). I also have a 6 core processor for again video editing and making videos but a quad core is better for gaming because it takes less time for the data to b read rather than having it to b read 6 times. For a gaming computer u want a beefy graphic card and a really gud quad processor (not having a gud processor makes it seem like ur game is lagging when playing even if playing in solo mode).

Small pointer: If you use proper grammar, you look more professional and people will take you more seriously.

1. 32gb is extremely excessive, there is no way you need more than maybe 12gb. I can run a Minecraft server, have multiple videos rendering in sony vegas pro, and have about 30 google chrome tabs open all while playing Minecraft and still run perfectly on only 8gb of ram.
2. Don't you think 6TB is quite a bit excessive? To use up that much you would need to have about a dozen hours of fraps footage.
3. "I also have a 6 core processor for again video editing and making videos but a quad core is better for gaming because it takes less time for the data to b read rather than having it to b read 6 times" .....what?

You sound like my parents. You don't need 1TB of hard drive space. But I can upgrade from 500GB to 1TB for $5 more. It doesn't matter, you don't need 1TB.

6TB of storage is quite a bit more expensive than 1TB.
Besides, not a single desktop nowadays comes with Win 7.
I have so many replies for this but they all break the "no swearing" rule.
No.

(it's hyperlinked) is the tutorial I used to build my computer. If it is not sufficient, then try looking up teksyndicate's tutorial or LinusTechTips.
I can max out MineCraft on an Nvidia GT 520, minecraft isnt exactly hard to run xD

I've never understood this forum's view of "you have too much storage." It's not like a 2 TB drive is double the price of a 1 TB drive.

So you're telling me spending over $200 on storage is normal?

I wouldn't be averse to it if there's a good reason for it. Hell, I spent $180 on my current setup.
