Taken from the CS labs at my university, the speeds sometimes go up to about 5000mb/s during the test but it seems to discard results with an average over 1000mb/s.
Holy crap. That could download TF2 in like 10 seconds.
Anyways, here's mine. It's leaps and bounds ahead of our old ISP, WildBlue... shudder...
It's wireless internet. Much better than satellite, but still not as good as DSL, I think.
Ha, I've gotten way worse. 0/0 with 20000ms ping. 2ms short of a pigeon and the server was only 100km away.

The Commies count their quarters and the ArtSci wish they could, the Engs have the longest pole and slam it home for good, so big, so hard, so tall, it reaches all the way to heaven, so shut your hole, we climbed the pole, we're sci 1 ing 7!!!
Upload speed is horrible. And I could get 2Mb more once I change the telephone lines. Dunno if I can get a better upload with that too, cause the ISPs where I live have extremely stupid clients who think that download is a lot more important that upload, so they just say "A 4 Mega plan", and I ask, "Megabit or Megabyte?", which they have no answer to.

You realise both servers are extremely far away? The first says it is over 3500 miles, and the second says nearly 8900 miles. Why not select a server in the US, rather than in the UK or JP? Or is Speedtest's GeoIP messing up?
The reason for that is because I'm in Japan right now.
Seeing how speedtest uses Megabits per second.. in Megabytes that translates to 2.25~ Mb/s download and 55.0~ kb/s upload which is awful when I try and upload something. Usually my download peak is around 3 mb/s and upload is about 64 k at night between the hours of 12 AM and 6 AM.
Fairpoint is pretty good, my girlfriend gets a consistent ~8-10Mbps on it.
I'd call a tech.
When I upgraded the internet the speed wouldn't go above 1 Mbps, turns out I had a filter on it the whole time. The only thing that I know that could be slowing me down is the modem I have. I got it about 5 years ago, but I just got a new router. I also want to know how much will it cost per month for 10 Mbps.
Bit better than what I paid for before. Before was 25Mb/s down, 5 up. Paid about 80. Got an upgrade for free for 6 months, than just 10 more for these current speeds (50Mb/s down, 13 or so up).

Best SpeedTest:
The worst is far away, I know that, but had to put that out!

Would you believe this is actually an improvement? Used to be an F-
After changing servers to something geographically closer to me.

Mine sucks. Anyone know of a good ISP I could get?
I'd call a tech. But it says your ISP that you are connecting from is in Virginia......
If you were in Japan it would be the other way around.

Take a look at my game projects.

It varies from 10Mb/s to less than 1Mb/s, but its normally quite useable.
Not bad for $30 a month.
Do you know if an old modem will slow down internet speeds?
Yeah I have an old DSL modem. Time to upgrade I think.
My upload speed really sucks.
Luckily my university has really high speeds (20 Mb/s+ down and 30 Mb/s+ up).
